Mod doesn't work. This is the first mod I've ever tried. I followed instructions exactly as described in the txt file from the Dropbox link. When I get to team select, I see all of the default MM teams.

Bummer.

If you refer to my comment, I used a vanilla version of the game only with this mod. Hopefully the track names will be fixed soon, seems like an interesting mod.

It is never a good idea to mix up mods that alter the database, especially when you use a complex mod like this one.

Once I activate "Test Mods in My Workshop" to update the track names, the '89 mod isn't working in the career, the game loads the base files. Once I deactivate "Test Mods in My Workshop", the edited files load correctly without the updated track names. How can this be solved? Installed everything according to the readme on a vanilla installation.

Really nice mod. This mod can actually replicate many historical moments. I do come out with the result that Alain Prost wins the 1989 WDC. And I also achieved a very close finish between Senna and Mansell (just as it was in Spain in 1986). But I would like to know if Mika Hakkinen or Michael Schumacher will come out as the time comes to the following seasons? It will be great joy to see these latter generation top drivers come to compete with the Senna and Prost.

Hi. Thanks for this mod, I love this era of F1.

I have a problem, I started a career mode with this mod, and all the drivers are really old! I know the start date isn't supposed to change, but it looks like I have all the driver's real dates of birth. Alain Prost is 61! Which is pretty funny tbh, but not very useful. Have I missed something in installation?

Great mod, my only issue is that the team liveries are just showing up as the default ones - I have no other mod active. Any ideas?

Amazing mod, my only problem with it is that the drivers are hidden and the other teams are not hiring any historical drivers and are going for generic characters instead. Is there anything I can do to change that?

Hello, i have a bug: the suppliers have no logos or names

ok done it. I deleted all saved games, all presence of the game from steam. Then deleted steam and reinstalled. could have been any mod. hope this helps anyone having same issue.

Nope. removed game from steam, does not work. removed steam from pc, does not work. what ever other mod it was it has corrupted the 89 mod on my pc. the only way to resolve it to do a hard reset on pc.... er maybe another day....

well I have deleted all mods and that didnt work. I have deleted the game and am currently re-installing it. Hope this works. I think the mod that caused the issue was perhaps the 2012 one. either that or a mixture of mods causing the 89 to corrupt.

The Mod works fine, do you have another Mod activated ? The 89' Mod could probably not be compatible with other Mods and give you an error on loading. Try desactivated all mods and start a new game with just the 89' Mod activated.

Hy guys, I got it sorted out and now it works perfectly also with the Endurence DLC.
I had to modify some of the text files (Drivers, Staff and Teams) to add some new column and all the new lines related to Endurence DLC.
But I'm not sure if I can publish it as it is not really my work. I just made some adaptations so it work also with the Endurence DLC.
@Diesel88 : I can send you a zip with your modified Mod so you can update it on the Steam Workshop.
@All users : contact me and I can send you the working Mod.

I mean, is there a chance to downgrade to a version of MM where this mode actually works? If yes, how is it to be danoe, and which version it is?

It seams since the last game update, the mod don't work anymore if you try to make a new game. The mod still works on my saved game before the update.

Will this mod be update in a near future?

anyway awesome plus the an already excellent game ! conratulations ! i just was looking for something creative/original (with funny name instead of just fake names). i don't really want to play with 2017 mod cause i thin my decision can be less objective ! but 1989 looks perfect to having something not too much fake and not too much real. with lot of references to old f1, whitch can really increase the please to play. i will try it right now ;-)

do you only change profiles of characters or also changes stats ? per example you can choice create an alonso with all stats to max. cause it can change all the game if you're able to change everything. and i think once you starts a game you can unload or load another mod.

hi this mod is really good an accurate however i might have found a mistake. the points given in each race is 10-6-4 etc but in real life in 1989 it was based on 9-6-4 etc

testing this mod, but i don't receive any sponsor offer... made couple of races and never had any sponsor offer, even on McLaren with double victory.
Is that normal?

playing a season with McLaren, now. Senna/Fittipaldi is my lineup. its going to take a minute for me to make this team profitable with Senna under contract

Chip (ad nauseum). You really should try your hand at managing one of the original F1 Teams, in the Totally Brilliant Mod from Diesel (hats off to him, for some totally Bug Free Fun. Still scouting for a Number Two Driver. Negotiating with Martin Brundle, meanwhile have rehired Pirro, when his Reserve Contract Expired, and demoted the (Half Star Talent) driver I inherited when I fired Prost to keep Senna, to Reserve Status.
Practice rockedd, despite the usual annoying rainfall, both Prost p1, and Pirro P2. At Rio Season 2. Saved that puppy.

Continuation busted the texting limit. Road and Track was the "Time Magazine" of Racing Coverage back then spotlighting F1 Racing as their Competition Section.
