But I have a suggestion for "xUseAllAbilities = true" -> split the perks in selection screen with a horizontal divider between vanilla/normal ones and the rest.

ah okay i see. thanks for the info. i worked around it by installing your mod but letting the default perk stay so i managed to get the best of both worlds. thnaks for this mod by the way.

oh you misunderstand. i like your mod. just was wondering what line in your config file do i need to change to switch from perk choices, to randomly assigned. im aware of the retroactive awc mod however that is now outdated.

then you should subscribe to the mod "retroactive awc" I think was its name and not use mine anymore ^^

tldr; i would like to be assigned a random perk instead of the ability to choose between different perks, but i wish the keep the retroactive function your mod provides.

sorry i did not phrase properly. what i meant was in vanilla sometimes you dont receive 1 because your soldiers AWC rank is predermined before you biuld your AWC and sometimes my soldier misses out on the perks because his AWC rank is early game.
I like your mod's retroactive setting however i would prefer the change the .ini so that i get only 1 random perk vs the current setting where i can pick and select.
Is there a way to change that? while command line would that be?

That u didn't recieve 1 in Vanilla was a bug. I think in the config you can change how many abilities you can get per difficulty.

hi is there a editing i can do to make it such that i get a random perk instead of a selection? i like the randomness, but want to keep the ability to receive a perk versus the vanilla AWC where you may not even receive 1.

In Vanilla X-COM 2 you are only supposed to get one bonus perk.

Excellent! Btw I am using the mod and really enjoying it but is there any way to get more than one bonus perk for my characters? I seem to be getting only one here but when I was using the "True Retroactive AWC" mod I used to get multiple bonus perks on my characters (although I couldnt pick which one I got). Can anybody explain whats going on here?

@PremierVader I used it on a game in progress, where most of my squad were rank 3 or 4. It worked fine (with the mod's default settings).

in your workshop mod folder, look for the folder "1617707619", that is the mod there you find the config.

Sounds like you have WoTC with mods, if so this mod is for the base version of the game. Check out the desc. for links to other iterations.

Unsure where to click to access the perk menu.

The mod you were talking about i already had it installed before you mentioned it.

I don't get it - this mod does exist for Wotc and It's in the description with a link to that mod, why ask if I could make this mod for Wotc when I already did it and you "read" the description.

Yes i read the description before installing it and i was just asking if you could do that's all. I only installed it due to the perks it has. Anyways i found another way mod that does the same thing this mod is doing.

I can't seem to be able to find this mod in config options, but since every time you check the AWC skill when selecting it changes if you escape out of it and try to choose again. I can select what I want ^^

That's a bummer. I would have liked to have all available on legendary as I have beaten it on the same difficulty I wanted to have some leeway and have some fun. :/

yes, if I remember correctly on legendary you only get 4.

you should put the "WOTC" version higher up, i tried to make this one work for like an hour and believe me when i say im not a tech ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but i didnt think the other link would be this far down..

Well actually, tried using "Enable/Disable Any AWC Perk" and its actually working. I can even select Modded class skills.

Anyway, this is a great mod and its very versatile.

how do I add and remove awc abilites from the selectables that are not included. I want to add squadsight and other abilites to the selection without fully unlocking every ability in the game.

Hi @Dare, i've noticed that the MCM doesn't show your mod to change the settings, could it be from load order? I currently have 76 mods, MCM is 34 in load order and ABAWC is 58, beside that it work perfectly, thanks for the mod, and i don't have war of the chosen

the mod is for all the classes cuz they changed how the "hidden" abilities work completly.

new mod works just for the 3 heros classes?
and sad lwpp seems not to be updated for wotc
