Thanks so much for troubleshooting! Yeah, the way PZ handles mods between versions is rather frustrating, and it sounds like it's gotten even MORE weird. On behalf of all those who come after you, thank you for finding and sharing the solution!

Ah it works. This is a bit trickier than I thought. For everybody else wondering it is NOT enough to activate it in the mods menu for a running game.
For a running game one has to go to the load menu ( don't just go for continue) find your savegame in the load menu -> head to more and activate the mods for that savegame.
Now it works dude. Problem was sitting between the screen and the chair XD

It should work for existing stones. I've noticed that when there's an update, mods seem to get deactivated. (At least on my machine.) Also worth trying is deactivating and reactivating the mod. Can you verify that the mod is installed and active? If it is, then I'll have to take a much closer look to ensure it's still working!

As above, my first guess would be that the new update deactivated the mod. If you can verify that it's installed and activated, I'll troubleshoot further. Sorry for the trouble!

does it work for existing stones, or do i have to pick up a new one for it to work. right clicking on a stack of 3 stones does nothing. used to work though in older builts

Just added this to my server and it is 100% working as intended. Thank you for this. I was so sick of finding regular stones and only able to make an axe here and there. This helps so much. :)

Unfortunately not, thanks for trying though. I'll look into this more when I have time, I know I was able to get it running on a dedicated server a year or so ago.

@Venomspawn Unfortunately, I've not played around with multiplayer myself. A google brought up this guide (link to follow) which seems to have worked for somebody; I hope it works for you, too!

It may not with the animations, for a quick fix go into the mod folders and open the text file. Delete AnimNode:BuildLow, (in both recipes)
Prop1:Hammer,
and save the file. This should revert it back to the original state and should work with B40.

Odd. I disabled this mod and ran it in IWBUMS Build 41.45, and I could neither knap stones, nor chip them with a stone hammer. Could you verify that the mod is disabled and you can still chip/knap stones in Build 41.45 or later?

If anyone else sees this, could you let us know if the newest version allows stone chipping?

After thinking more about it. It seems like everytime you start your game the game recompiles it's data from every mod you have installed. It's not like the data of the mods gets baked into the save like what happens in games like the elder scrolls series for example.

Also even if you have a mod that does remove any of these objects I doubt the game would actually crash. It would just add something in the logs that it can't find an object for a recipe but that should be it.

Mod is confirmed to work in the current stable build (40.43). However, because of the version update, you may have to resubscribe & reenable the mod.

What about 2 stones to create a chipped stone? Basically like napping stones to make tools but it cost 2 stone to make a chipped one. As if one becomes a chipped stone and the other is rendered useless as it is damaged by the process. I actually expected to be able to do that.

Indie Stone always liked to add the best mods as part of the game design itself. Something as simple and obvious as THIS sounds brainless to not add! Especially when I would have no axes and 5 blunt stones...

@teag2 @Burnt Toast Yup. I admit I didn't know what it was, but Steam requires an image, and I didn't like PZ's generic one; this was the only thing in the first two pages of google that seemed to have to do with a sharpened stone. :p

OHHHHHHHHHH yes that would definitely be useful then!

My longest playthrough so far is ~45 days w/ Hydrocraft, and I'm living in the mansion in the Dreadwood map, so the "no axe" situation has yet to arise. More than enough survival axes... so far, anyway!
