Love your kotor mods Effix, anyone else notice that the default Bastila robe seems to have a slight transparency issue, dark and light robes are fine but the default robe seems to be partially transparent in places.
Sen The Fortress Aug 8, 2024 @ 7:47pm
Anyone have a lighting issue with the white robes? it's becomes blindingly bright in certain lighting conditions.
MasterThief_117 Jan 30, 2022 @ 3:41pm
So i ran into the issue without thinking about it, will removing the mod then reinstalling work? I'm trying it now
Von Jan 6, 2022 @ 3:20pm
When i got the mod i tried to put it on the handmaiden but it does not show her head
DropDead74 Jul 9, 2021 @ 6:37am
couldnt help but notice, the clothing is transparent, meaning, i can see the walls behind my character, through the outfit, weird.
Onyx2589 Jun 15, 2021 @ 7:17pm
lmao. I actually had to start using non-cloud saves to continue lol
Effix  [author] Jun 14, 2021 @ 2:54pm
Just save, then try things.
It's also because I create mods and want to have a lot of points to go back to, I end up with a few hundred saves.
Onyx2589 Jun 14, 2021 @ 12:35pm
Hm. Well as long as it doesn't give me DS points or makes me lose influence, I'll have to check that out. I've always loved the Jedi Knight robe design.
Effix  [author] Jun 14, 2021 @ 5:58am
I don't think so.
Onyx2589 Jun 13, 2021 @ 11:13pm
Doesn't that get you DS points though?
Effix  [author] Jun 13, 2021 @ 2:14pm
First you gain her influence, mostly by continuing to talk to her at every chance you get. Then at some point you get to spar with her on the Hawk, she wants to do that in her underwear because of Echani rituals. Then you yourself put your clothes back on, ask her to do the same, then she brings out the robes.
Onyx2589 Jun 12, 2021 @ 11:22pm
I didn't know about her mother's robes. Don't think I've ever gotten them. How do you unlock them?
Effix  [author] Jun 12, 2021 @ 11:40am
I meant the robes (her mother's) you can unlock at some point. It's just a white version of the Knight/Master robes.
Onyx2589 Jun 11, 2021 @ 9:18pm
yeah, I can respect that. But her outfit was the closest thing in star wars I could get to a white bodysuit lol
Effix  [author] Jun 10, 2021 @ 2:04pm
Glad you like it.
Agreed, her default clothing is quite nice.
(Spoilers, I guess) Her robes are a bit underwhelming. I like white robes but it's missing some details, it's a bit bland.
Onyx2589 Jun 10, 2021 @ 1:19pm
I'm in love. Brianna makes this outfit work and is leagues better than her default appearance (much as I still adore that though)
idododo Apr 20, 2021 @ 2:45am
I feel so dumb, just noticed the reason why this robes always looked clunky to me was that it was overlaying with the Mission clothes, lol
Effix  [author] Jul 14, 2020 @ 2:46pm
Awesome, happy gaming :)
geist Jul 14, 2020 @ 12:24pm
I should be good now, thanks again!
Effix  [author] Jul 13, 2020 @ 2:02pm
Thanks for the kind words.

It's quite easy with KotOR Tool.
https://deadlystream.com/files/file/280-kotor-tool/
In its menu you go to File -> Open GFF Files -> go to mod folder* -> for this mod you open "a_robe_50.uti"
Now you see a tab "Properties", there you can change or add rows. An item does have a certain base item that also gives some basic properties, these properties add to that. When you're done you save and overwrite the original file.

* This mod's files should be in a folder like:
[Steam folder]\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\208580\872328284\override

You might run into KotOR Tool not recognizing your game(s) location, I have a guide here for that, but in this case it doesn't matter. You need it to extract things from the game but you can open GFF files without it.
geist Jul 13, 2020 @ 12:06pm
Ah, I did some more research and yes it must be an incompatible model. How difficult would it be to change the stats of a workshop-added robe? I don't want to ask for a special mod, but if it's something small that I could figure out myself, I would love to know. I'm a big fan of your mods, they add a lot of life and variety to this classic game.
geist Jul 12, 2020 @ 7:35pm
Sorry if I didn't explain well. Basically I'm wanting the ossus keeper robe to have the look/texture of the dark bastila robe. I did this before with another of your mods, but when I tried with this one I got a strange result. From your comment I think I understand now that because it's a different model(?) it's not compatible to replace
Effix  [author] Jul 12, 2020 @ 5:49pm
I'm not sure what you mean, the Ossus Keeper Robe is a texture variation of the Jedi Robe 3D model. What would you like?
geist Jul 12, 2020 @ 3:58pm
Hello friend. Would it be possible to replace Ossus keeper with the dark texture variant? I tried renaming PFBJ50 -> PFBJ08, also PFBI08 and I get...well something black, but not it haha. Thank you.
Effix  [author] May 27, 2020 @ 3:37am
Thanks liza! I appreciate that. Happy gaming!
lideo dame May 27, 2020 @ 12:42am
Just wanted to say, Effix, you are a legend. Thank you for all the awesome mods (including the ones on deadlystream)! Your work is appreciated.
Effix  [author] Apr 26, 2020 @ 12:16pm
Do you have legacy mode on? (if you don't know what that is then it's a no)
Are you sure you entered the correct cheat code? If you enter anything the game doesn't recognize then you get that grenade.
Nyaki Stryker Apr 25, 2020 @ 12:37pm
I use the cheats to get the robes but all it adds is an unnamed item with the grenade icon
Effix  [author] Dec 29, 2019 @ 1:43pm
The mod's files should be in a location like:
[drive]:\[steamfolder]\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\208580\872328284\override

Check if they're there. If the (17) files are there then I don't see why the cheat wouldn't work.
Juliet Taylor Briar Dec 29, 2019 @ 10:33am
ye the blue and red double sbaer does. but im just so confused as i keep deleteing mods, and now everythings mostly just world retextures but I still cant spawn any of these
Effix  [author] Dec 29, 2019 @ 7:51am
Hard to tell. Do other cheats work?
Juliet Taylor Briar Dec 28, 2019 @ 10:46pm
aM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? I am getting nothng? I have no skin mods in my entire mod list but its still not working, i enter the code and it puts nothing into my inventory
Effix  [author] Dec 19, 2019 @ 10:11am
No, that should be fine.
Juliet Taylor Briar Dec 18, 2019 @ 9:20pm
quick question, does this mean this is incompatible with the Bastilla Head?
Effix  [author] Mar 20, 2019 @ 9:45am
Yeah, I found out that the merchant's filename was the same as one for another merchant, so the other merchant's inventory got replaced. That next to all the issues that mod had made me take it down. I might look at it again some day.
mcs.scotty Mar 20, 2019 @ 9:30am
Are the Strider Robes gone? Those were cool and had some nice effects.
Effix  [author] May 17, 2018 @ 10:34am
Then maybe another mod that takes the same approach, see the compatibility notes above.
[SЯF] E-rod May 16, 2018 @ 4:55pm
I mean no.
[SЯF] E-rod May 16, 2018 @ 2:03pm
Yes.
Effix  [author] May 15, 2018 @ 5:47am
Did you sub to my Mission Vao Jacket mod? It's not compatible with this mod.
[SЯF] E-rod May 14, 2018 @ 3:43pm
The robe just randomly turned into some wierd, mission vao jacket looking thing. Can that be fixed?
Effix  [author] Apr 22, 2018 @ 12:35pm
Thank you :) Have fun
Justinian Apr 22, 2018 @ 1:50am
This is the single best looking robe mod I have seen for either KOTOR game. These look amazing.
Effix  [author] Apr 14, 2018 @ 11:45am
Please put some more time into spelling and punctuation, I don't understand you.
smallturns Apr 13, 2018 @ 3:36pm
Oh so you have up to Dxun where you find Canderous and he join your party if you want to use a save game from before you installed this Effixian's Bastila's Legacy Robes mod I mean that in not how I usually do things wen it comes to mods but that's cool I guess you I or any-buddy can play some of the game without this Effixian's Bastila's Legacy Robes being installed and then the next time that perdon sart the game up have it installed sweet charities if i'am understanding Effix :steamhappy:
Effix  [author] Mar 31, 2018 @ 11:46am
Starting a new game is not needed, you can start with a savegame, just one where Mandalore hasn't yet joined your party.
smallturns Mar 30, 2018 @ 7:07pm
The robs I think I understand if it's just pretty much self explanatory when or when not wearing them like I thought but just to make sure I read it right what did you mean getting this mod and then loading a savegame in which Mandalore is already in your party won't give you the items you meant to start a new game with this Effixian's Bastila's Legacy Robes installed or you won't receive the items from him when he joins your party or am I missing the point Efflx?
Effix  [author] Mar 18, 2018 @ 8:04am
Yes, it's pretty much self explanatory, the stats are similar to those on other robes.
Getting this mod and then loading a savegame in which Mandalore is already in your party won't give you the items (I assume, I haven't tested it).
smallturns Mar 18, 2018 @ 2:35am
I am reading the description like a good little boy tha I am & not like an adult who is something I can't think of what eels to say their ha ha he he and some holehum nu hopefully you know i'am just messing with you i'am actually seriously 35 but for real Xffix I do see where it said's that but could you elaborated you know explain a little bit more on those bonuses points or is it pretty much self explanatory when wearing the robes and also at the top i'am unsure what the description means where it said's you will only get them when you use a save game from before he joins your party may I ask?
Effix  [author] Mar 17, 2018 @ 4:42am
See the description above. +2 Wisdom and Regenerate Force Points 2 are stats that are nice for using Force powers.
