When using the enemy health bars, they keep disappearing and reappearing during virtually every combat encounter. I can't seem to find what triggers this. I've tried changed it in the mod order and even ran the mod solo and just can't seem to prevent it. I love the mod otherwise but this occurs so frequently.
VirusBoom Dec 1, 2020 @ 4:33pm
Is it possible to make the bar appear constantly without using the potion every time?
VirusBoom Nov 11, 2020 @ 4:49am
I don't understand English well, but it says here that you don't need to re-drink the potion every time you enter the game, but when I enter the game, the stripes disappear and I have to drink the potion to see them. It is also written that the stripes will decrease by 5%, however, they jump from 100 to 75 and immediately to 0, there is no smoothness and speech, despite the fact that mobs die not in a split second, but in a decent 3-4 sec.

No it is not. The latest game version is just additional language support. Doesn't affect any of the modifications made from 2014 to present

@ doudley (author) : If I may be of help : Viz has discovered that "anything" in TL2 that maintains a status or effect into another zone will cause Multiplayer issues. The solution in all cases seems to be an "end process" effect stopping any carry over into another zone. The only inconvenience would be to have to drink the potion again with every new zone however the theory is that Multiplayer should work.
doudley  [author] Mar 8, 2019 @ 6:36pm
I cannot be of help when it comes to multiplayer mode but I'll try to come up of another way to benefit on this mod's features with less hassle. But my target modding schedule would be around April.
TRBine Mar 2, 2019 @ 9:52am
@doudley please see the issue brought up by @bdelauso if you plan on addressing issues with this mod. I ABSOLUTELY love this mod, and it's a real shame that it causes these game-breaking issues and more.
One other issue I've experienced is that, when both players have the potion active, we load into separate instances of the exact same zone. Basically, a loading screen is game over if both players have the potion active.

@lyravega I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you for the gesture!

Hey, updated the description of Floating Target Bar, so if anyone finds that mod out, hopefully they'll get to here instead :)
doudley  [author] Aug 19, 2018 @ 10:43pm
Thanks!

I added your mod to my collection list: "More useful (Mais úteis)"
Aherin  [author] Jul 18, 2018 @ 12:34pm
Hey doudley, I've included a version of this in my 'Steam Controller Custom UI' mod as discussed. Thankyou!

@ Gymmer: This mod was also included in "Indicators Premium" and doudley's "UI" mods if you ever need more features or to save space for the 10 mod limit! ^_^
GYMMER Mar 18, 2018 @ 6:41pm
GREAT! That's the only mod I found that allowed me to play with enemery health bars. This is mandatory when playing wth a controller. Great job!

You're welcome

Here is the non-steam version of the mod

I also added this link at the bottom of my mod page description.

@ thewhitestar: Can you Subscribe the mod here? The mod can be placed into your mod folder assuming the Gog version has it. Here is the link of the RGF version which is an entire UI mod that also contains this mod.

Is there a non steam version? How to apply this on gog version of the game?
bdelauso Oct 22, 2017 @ 1:03am
Hi,
this mod is really awesome ! But we have some multiplayer issues. When we both use this potion, the next time one of us uses any portal function, the game crashes or the player get stuck in the loading screen. Any Advices/Ideas ? TY !
doudley  [author] Jun 12, 2017 @ 1:40am
I uploaded a new mod that includes this mod that's why I came to update this too :)
steffire3  [author] Jun 12, 2017 @ 1:05am
@doudley (author):

Thanks for maintaining these mods with updates!

We appreciate it! At least those of us who care to say something about it.

^_^

Published v.23

- NO MORE dying sound on each map detected enemy killed! Also lessen the FPS drop by removing animation resources of the summoned units.

- Fixed unintentional turning on and off of enemy health bar every 2 seconds

- Fixed the unittype of Bandit Leader 2, it is now shows a boss target bar as it was supposedly intended

Wigs/masks/sunglasses I think these are possible but will be worn like a helmet. I might consult to torchmodders for this because most modders there are expert in 3d editing
*Yuki* Jun 5, 2017 @ 12:12pm
hmh... maybe its possible to make NPC, that will sell wigs (hats, that use models of hairs), then? Yep, it wont affect skins, but, with your ESO mod - will add ability to change your hairstyles without changing actual hairstyles (heh). Simply put wig into head's visual slot and here you go.

What do you think? Or way, vanilla hairs made, wont allow to do that?
doudley  [author] Jun 5, 2017 @ 1:30am
Its been tackled before and playable character transformation has been played around by modders from time to time. Seeing now that there are no publicized mod about this, we can only assume that there are many issues involved in this. Although it is possible and the transform function allows to change/replace any codes inside the unit's data. What I can answer you directly, is that character name and character creation customizations are not linked to the unit's data but linked to the game save. That means, it cannot be changed in-game.

@doudley, offtop question, only related to this mod in terms that they both are about cook.

As you know, there is a rare food, that permanently change stats and, mostly important - look of your pet. Im pretty sure, it doesnt alter your pet, but gives it sort of permanent buff. My question is: is it possible to make such food for characters? If yes - what s about food, that will change only look of some parts of you?
Im still trying to imagine way, how ability to change hairstyles/colors/skins AFTER character creation may be implemented :S
Aherin  [author] May 26, 2017 @ 4:45am
Well don't spend too much time on it, cause it could very well be just me then who is experiencing it :)
doudley  [author] May 26, 2017 @ 3:51am
Ahh no, I have not yet notice it happened but the laptop I'm using is faulty and sometimes I'm not sure what is natural to the game or not. Before I updated the mod, I tried staring at the overhead health bar of the target dummy for few minutes, it did not glitched out like I was hoping it to show. But maybe because the game is on idle....not sure.
Aherin  [author] May 26, 2017 @ 12:53am
Are you seeing it yourself in game though?
doudley  [author] May 26, 2017 @ 12:23am
I could lessen down the detection's interval even more. To be sure, let's make it 0.8. :)
Aherin  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 11:59pm
So I just tried this out again and it seems to have greatly improved the switching off and on of hp bars. It still happened like twice but it was happening constantly before.
Aherin  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 3:46pm
Ok man I'll see how it goes. Thanks for your efforts!
doudley  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 5:30am
I'll try changing the hp detection to 0.9 sec instead of 1 sec and upload now. Maybe it could help.
Aherin  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 5:24am
Both target dummy and in dungeons
doudley  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 5:22am
Oh...does this happen on the target dummy or at the field?
Aherin  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 5:15am
Maybe flicker is the wrong word. It's more like I'm seeing hp periodlically turn off and on again for a second or so
doudley  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 5:11am
Probably its just the particles duration. To be clear, HP at 10% below is supposed to flicker, I'll try increasing 10% above affixes by +0.1 or +0.2.
Aherin  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 5:05am
No worries at all :)
doudley  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 5:04am
I'm about to test it later, just preparing the update for Skills Expansion. :)
Aherin  [author] May 25, 2017 @ 4:33am
Any luck on the flickering health bars issue? Is it just me experiencing it?
Aherin  [author] May 23, 2017 @ 3:30am
Well said Michael :) I never considered the value of this mod for controller users either.

It does actually bring to mind a possible new mod. It would take a fair bit of work. We could alter the vanilla class skills (and even parts of the ui) to be more controller friendly. ie make spells like teleport move the player to a set distance in front rather than the mouse location, or any area effect spells cast at a set location as well. Right now using the xbox conroller you need to flick the cursor in a clumsy sort of way to find your target.
doudley  [author] May 21, 2017 @ 7:34am
@Michael
I was disappointed that when we made this mod possible, not many people responded or have taken interest, even though its one of the most requested mod around the workshop, from mod comments to workshop discussions.

Reading your comment, I now personally felt this mod is really worth making.

I'm so glad too that you honored us with your interest. Thanks.

@steffire3
All of my mods after Commandments you are in some way connected in making them, there are even some mods you are personally responsible for. These are all, highly appreciated and I'm sure the community are glad to know that you are involved on such mods.
steffire3  [author] May 21, 2017 @ 3:48am
@Michael: I'm so glad this mod is of such great benefit to you and others with controllers!

I have to credit you for opening my eyes to the fact that Controllers "must" and "should" be supported for any game alongside Mouse Keys whenever possible.

On another note: The reason I like Doudley's style so much is that it's about "small giant" changes that "need" to be made to the original game.

There's just something missing from TL2 without some of Doudley's mods and I yearn to help him as much as I can so that players will benefit and spread these mods to others!

^_^
Michael May 20, 2017 @ 10:10pm
I had to exit the game.

Not because it crashed or anything, no - but to immediately mark this as a favorite and to state:

This. Is. Brilliant.

Words can't fully articulate how much of a game changer this is.
Michael May 20, 2017 @ 9:49pm
Dear lord, how have I missed this one? Not being able to see enemies' health is one of the three prime things keeping 3rd party controller setups from being viable! Thank you for this!

I can't believe I had no idea this mod existed for so long. I guess I must have stopped looking for something similar since last year. :D
Na1tsu May 14, 2017 @ 5:53am
Thank you. Thank you for your kindness
doudley  [author] May 14, 2017 @ 5:51am
I'm really glad, just feel free to ask me anything or perhaps a request, as long as it is possible I can make it happen.
Na1tsu May 14, 2017 @ 5:49am
Thank you, my friend. This thing works for me. It's a good thing
