Not to be a stickler or anything (I totally am, though), but from GySgt, you either go to MSgt OR 1stSgt. from there it's MGySgt or SgtMaj, respectively.

Usually the MSgt -> MGySgt is for field-type stuff (subject matter experts and whatnot) and the 1stSgt -> SgtMaj are more for command-type stuff (troop training, general leadership and whatnot)

MOS flags and tatts! Take out master sergeant because they have no future, move first up and insert Sgt Major. And if you feel up to it, maybe some decent haircuts.

yeah... I reliesed my silly comment a minute later. In all fairness the odst threw me off, and i cant read well late at night when I'm tired... but i do like this mod and subbed to the non LW2 version.

Also, nah. If i'm really struggling for ranks I'll put WOs into the officer pack when I update it. Right now the pack only affects enlisted ranks in Long War 2 mod.

Or hell, just make 'em into Warrant Officers.

Fair enough; I know a lot of Master Sergeants that would be pretty pissed, though. ;)

@Dalthius I know it's the same pay grade. But even having E-8s in any sort of combat is kind of pushing it. An E-9 would be even more absurd. I formatted it it the way I did so that there could be a solid 8 ranks without making things fall outside of semi-realistic bounds.

Why does a First Sergeant outrank a Master Sergeant? That makes no sense...they are the same pay grade. Still, happy to see this uploaded for the masses; most folks are not comfortable editing ini files, it seems. I modded mine to reflect USMC ranks; now I need to get the rank pictures to match.

@Belhedler there's no real way to translate USMC jargon into French, but I tried my best. It basically means the same thing (probably) :D

@degreifenreiter - That's the great thing about XCOM2 modding. A couple of tweaks and you can have whatever country you want saving the world. My squads are all Super Army Soldiers from the UK. (10 extra points for the obscure reference).
