only thing that keeps me from going to in depth into custom characters (Specially hard ones like Eknoh) is that i dont get to follow my progress

yea, it doesnt help that I still have other mods to maintain that cannot have just another version and the api is currently broken in many places.

i think a repentance only version would be more beneficial especially for the new completion marks. take your time, but i would imagine this would be alot for one person

I think this one just works for what it does right away as far as I tested....ofc, it wont work for tainted characters and it wont have the 2 extra boss marks.
Im skeptical about simply updating it tbh, since that could mean thr loss of data for quite a few people who are still in AB+ (thats the reason why I barely updatd this one in the past).
I think I'd rather make a repentance only version of this one later on that has a compatible save system with this....but no promises.

Maybe with the, as I heard, updated mod-maker it'll work better!

The only reason why Im not updating this one is because I dont want people to lose their saves....thats the same reason why I havent released an update in 4 years. Isaac modding ♥♥♥♥♥♥ implementation has this thing where mod updates can ♥♥♥♥ your modded saves so I just avoid them for mods like these.
So yea, updating this entry is a no-no from me....now re-releasing it as a rep thing is not out of question, if I were to do that I'd make it so it pulls the saves from this mod into the other one if you are still subbed to this one, so saves are not really lost and you dont have to manually edit those in.

Now with Repentance out, when mods are re-ensbled, will there be a sequel?

I actually made it so it is always on screen except when you hold v, and I changed the position. If you don't mind I can upload it, but I don't care tbh.

About the thing you asked...Nah, theres no way to have it be static on the screen at all times, if thats what you mean. This could be added, but it was the first time anyone requested it in 4 years tbh, lol. Personally, I think it covers too much of the screen to have it on at all times.

Thats because neither of those mods add any characters, they are reskinned versions of vanilla ones, those wont work since theres little way to accurately tell them apart with the api, so if they were to have a completion api it would just be the same as the vanilla character ones which would be odd.
I honestly dont know why they do this when they could just add the characters, my bet is that they built off a ported mod from Rebirth (which is kind of the case for the undertale one) where it was impossible to actually add characters.

So testing it with binding of undertale and binding of deltarune, the completion mark sheet does not appear on either the additional characters from the undertale mod or the 2 introduced by the deltarune mod

The api doesnt allow us to add stuff to the main menu, so that's simply not possible rn. On this one, you can check the characters completion api by holding the map button in-game.

heh, theres no "mom defeat" completion mark you silly!, the lowest one is on MOM's heart not on MOM, thats how the game works.

Mom defeat should be listed here. It didn't show up after the run ended either. Tried it a second time and it still didnt show up. I was playing with Lucifer, a Genesis+ mod character.

Yup, the mod is working, press tab in-game and you should see the note. If you dont, then open the console and tell me if you see any errors there.

Is this mod still working? I subscribed to it, restarted my game and enabled it in the mod menu, but neither of the modded characters I have in my game have the note.

This mod adds the ability to earn "modded" competition marks for ALL(not just mine) modded characters. It doesnt give you any marks nor achievements.

No, sadly, that's WAY beyond what the API allows us to do, it would be awesome if that were supported and modded saves went to the cloud tho, I agree.
As of now, we have 0 control of what the game does with the saves, they are simple text files that we can read/write, everything else is handled by the game.

Appreciation post: I've downloaded this mod like more than a year ago, and thanks to this I'm still playing and enjoying Isaac. You are the real MVP, JSG, thanks again for your hard work

It doesnt really make sense now that achievements are no longer disabled for mods, ya, it made sense back then but it doesnt know. That being said, however, updating this mod presents a high risk for such a small change. Everytime a mod updates theres a risk of losing the mod savefile (which is stupid but thats how Isaac's workshop works), since this is a mod where saves are REALLY important (since you would lose all your marks) I try to not update it unless a bug or something major surfaces (in those cases I also use the chance to improve some stuff).

tl;dr: yes, it's stupid and it should work that way but I wont change it rn as that would risk the loss of data of the current mod users.

Modded characters dont have completition marks, this mod adds completition marks to the ingame HUD for every character, inclusindg modded ones.

jorleekiham9, I'd need further info in order to be able to help you. It doesnt work as in "the empty piece of paper doesnt even appear when I press TAB" or more of a "it doesnt work like its supposed to"?
If it's the first one then, on 99% of the cases, is because one of the following reasons:
A. You dont have AB+ installed/activated.
B. Steam, for some reason, didnt download the mod files even when you ares subscribed.
C. The mod is not enabled, check in the mods menu.

To check if it's B, just head to "C:\Users\Juan\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods" and look for the folder "completionmarks_865535009", if it's not there then, yea, Steam isnt downloading the mod. I'd suggest restarting steam.
If it's none of those, then try subbing to other mods and check if those work....if none of them work then it's a problem with your particular installation, I cant help much with that.
