Is it possible to disable enemy aircrafts? Every time i play mission they appear from nowhere, its annoying when you do mission with a plan and they ruin it.

Stay away from these missions. Support never shows up or is never even a option from the menu. Revive system is broke or just non existent. Try OPEX instead.

I don't think there will be a fix for this, as it has not been touched in over 2.5 years.

There's a wee problem with RHS mods and calling for CAS support.

Basically, the CAS Helo support for USAF is broken. Call in CAS Helo and nothing happens. I've contacted RHS studios and they said its not a problem on their part. Maybe Mbrdmn will do a fix?

In SP, after I have tweeked the starting loadout of myself and the AI members of my squad, is there a way to save that so I can start with same squad loadout on subsequent missions? It is a lot of work to get my squad outfitted the way I want, and prefer not to do it all again with each new mission. Fantastic mission by the way ... enjoying WW2 Red Army vs Wehrmacht on the Cherneraus version. So good!!

Overland - Just set it to that preset and it'll do the rest. It just changes the scale / what's spawned.

@Stallfish - Combat Ops was an attempt to make a more grand scale DRO. Mbrdmn has never been happy with it, the development has been halted.

DRO, however has been given a "Combined Arms" preset that will simulate the same grander scale op that DCO is at its core.

DRO is good for everything from small sniper HVT eliminations to big multi-town campaigns with tanks and such, now. Should just use it.

There is an issue with the force multiplier and some mods. I am trying to find some compatibility mod to fix this.

For reference, the most missions we play have between 250-270 kills spread over 3 players.

For whatever reason, the highest we have gotten in the past 5 missions is 180. It really cuts down the excitement for the team-play.

Any help would be appreciated.

Amazing work on both recon and combat ops hours of fun with both :) Although when you have the spare time you should think about expanding the combat ops variety using Unsung and IFA3 mods. i really think the community would love to see WW2 and vietnam in you combat ops projects :sdhelmet:

Hi mbrdmn.

I realy love your missions and my team and I are playing them regularly. The dynamics and randomnes are just fenomenal.
That aside, I have a question. Why don't you implement a headless client into your missions?
Simplest way would be to just place a Headles Client gamelogic (found in vanilla game), make it playable and name it HC1 for example.

A DRO/DCO Combined Arms mode seems like it would be really interesting. I used to play DRO first in one AO and then manually configure a DCO mission in the same AO. Would it be something like that?

From a personal standpoint I never really managed to find much inspiration to work on DCO and it ended up kind of unfocused - either because of, or as a result of that. My main intention is to make it a more interesting project for myself and hopefully with that you guys will end up with a better scenario :)

I'm going to start work on some of the ideas I have already and see how they fit together. Once I have gotten a bit further into it I'll give some more details and will link a test version here for anyone who wants to try the work in progress.

Hi everyone, I'd like to give a quick update on my plans for DCO!

I'm not going to go too deep on my individual ideas for it but just give you an outline of where I want things to go - and that's to say that I'm intending to discontinue work on this version of DCO (not that there's been a great deal of that lately anyway) and collate everything into DRO.

In the recent DRO update I expanded the possibilities for missions to include more friendly elements working alongside you. My intention is to use that framework to do another major update that will take some ideas from DCO across and leave the ones that I don't think are working so well. This will take the form of an optional Combined Arms mode that won't affect the current status of DRO so that core DRO gameplay remains the default option.

ACE is almost universally compatible, now. Just go into the ACE options and do "Override Mission Settings" or whatever the button is called. You can CTRL-Shift-T all your worries away!

Hi Jakeman! I have some plans for combined arms missions but I'm taking a bit of a coding break right now and haven't committed to start on them yet. If I'm being completely honest I'm not happy with the work I've done on DCO at all and I'd like to shake things up a bit. When I come back to it there will probably be a significant change.

Out of interest, do you have any plans to update this mod? I notice they were last updated around this time last year and in that time DRO's been updated, so I'm curious about the future of this mod.
