Is there any settings to change rate of.. uhh... "traiting"? Currently it's seems way too imbalanced and unrealistic for me.

I do think Pacifist should be one that the more kills you get it goes, and slow healer should go when you get you first aid up to level 5-6. Sunday driver should go when you slowly ran over Zd's with a car, Unlucky if you get a rabbits foot after capturing it in a cage. All of the others can be left for the meditation for the time been, that would way to much work. In real life there are a lot of solutions, fix's or things that help you cope, with what negative traits that there are in PZ.

Pacifist & Sunday driver don't go way, a lot of one's you do get they don't even show for it, the only one that work that was easy to spot. Were Eagle Eyed, Fast Reader, Dextrous, all of the other's i would of need to do comparison to know if they work, but the one's that were suppose also give you points they don't. I would get rid of the other one, and keep the one that gives only 1, but i would also add a cool down or a kill count to it, and have it were you get to pick the one you want gone, or it's random.

Hey, so I just tried this out, as I love the idea. However, I did pushups to remove my Feeble, and it did, but it didn't actually increase my strength any. It just removed the trait.

Hiya. Love the mod though I'm a bit confused about "Train Survival"

In the description itt said that using this will remove a negative trait and replace it with a positive one. But currently when I use it the negative trai, "All Thumb", "Sleephead" & "High Thirst", were not remove. Instead I keep getting new Positive Traits>

I'm currently using the mod in an ongoing game. Do I need to start a new game for the mod to function properly?

Oh and I do agree with smokem's point no.2. it does feel too OP.

Nevertheless great job on the mod.

Can you remove the hungry trait? I accidentally added it on the char creation and its a pain in the ass, can you tell me if it works on this?

As others have commented, excelent concept.
1) fitness and strength not changing even though the traits appear changed.
2) OP: too much too fast. I suggest remove the nerd training and limit the others to once per day each for removing negative traits and when negative traits gone for a type of training usssing that training to gain a possative trait it usses all the training for that day (can not have trained already that day)

For some reason its not adding the points to fitness and strength from upgrading to fit or stout(or thier like). Any ideas?

Mod doesn't always work for some reason. In fact, having it on can halt the normal slow increases in things like fitness. I had the obese trait on, have had 'no longer obese, just overweight' message maybe 10 times now, and am still obese. Or I think so. The tooltips stopped working on traits.

But... The Carry Cap, does not grow, when I train up?? Does this not afflict Str?

Получил Травника - не определяет съедобность. Получил Nutricionist - не определяет калории. В общем - расходимся.

So if Nutrition is on, the whole thing won't work? Because the small Steam server I have, the Training context dialog doesn't appear.

@Não consegue né? yes it's set up pretty simple so youo can change it by yourself if you like, but I did an update yesterday and it should be fixed. You are right, the order was wrong before the update and I'm not sure why project zomboid even let the mod add traits that would should be mutually exclusive with the traits you already had.

Well, after trying this, I was able to, with some food I had stored up, able to get like, every single positive trait... perhaps this is a bit overpowered? I'll come back with detailed notes soon! I really do like the mod's concept though!

@Blame The Panda But I actually got all the panic related traits, before my Desinsitized (what an overcomplicated name) trait got lost. And I studied the code, I saw is just added "removeTrait" or something, may I just alter that, so I don't lose the trait?

@Não consegue né? the desanitzed trait is a little more complicate that's why I implemented it the way it is. Desanitized cannot stack with "Adrenaline Junkie", "Agoraphobic", "Brave", "Claustrophobic", "Cowardly" and "Hemophobic". I was a little lazy and simply structured it that way that you loose desanitized with the text "A little bit of fear keeps you alive" and after that the user can obtain AdrenalineJunkie. That should not be an excuse (= I checked my code and I should improve it to handle this correctly for people that already have have "Veteran" can't obtain the mutually exclusive traits and those that don't have it can't obtain veteran but progress in those other traits.

I'll post an update later today.

How do I alter the code so I don't lose "Desensitized" trait? I found some lines of code here, may I just change the values and some text, and there it goes?

@F.M.L I've observed what you said when playing with the nutrition system activated but I can't find the source of this problem. The nutrition seems to have a very cryptic implementation.

am i the only one noticing that no matter what positive trait you gain through "training" you dont actually get the associated skill bonus for that trait? like.. having illiterate or deafness removed shows a clear and apparent change but things like sprint,first aider or angler for example dont actually grant the bonus to the skills as described by the traight. also ive had characters stuck with the obese trait no matter how many times i have the exercise.

make it so in game 2 weeks without training can deteriorate stuff like strength and fitness over time along with other traits and such. so this mod won't be too overpowered

This is a really neat idea, makes enough sense as is in my opinion, however maybe there could be a way to help smokers quit like nicotine patches or smoking less cigarettes every day until you can overcome the addiction

Pretty good mod lad, I thought that the trait system was flawed too. I mean the longer you survive better you should get at surviving and it really isn't logical for an overweight person to stay overweight after a zombie apocalypse.
An idea : maybe add equipment like dumbells that could speed up the training or allow the character to get even better traits.

@DeadlyDanDaMan thanks for the feedback! For now I don't plan any updates since everyone will have different thoughts about what the price for training should be. Like I mentioned before I only developed this for my private server and wanted to share what I had. If theres lots of downloads and subscribes I might feel motivated to add some admin-based configuration to restrict the traits that can be changed or increase the penalty on the player.

@Não consegue né? all negative traits can be removed by doing survival training. For some traits like Pacifist, Clumsy or Disorganized it is lore friendly to explain that time in this new world simply changed the character. For other traits ike Short-Sighted or Deaf there is probably no good explanation, unless you say something like "I may be short sighted, but my senes are sharper and I know what to look out for to make up for it".
