When your character goes into an area (like the THalmor embassy) where you have to take off magic stuff it won't let you put the earring back on. How do I fix this?

I like the idea of in game craftable modded items. Seems it would be more 'legit' and bug free. More people should do that rather than just create an item and then try getting it to work in the game. This way you use the games' mechanics for you instead of against the public, which like me, most prolly never really use mods so when they do, they want them to be reliable. But I am going to try ur lite-version rings. Thanks for putting them out there.

Yes, thank you. I appreciate it, you're the first to respond to a request. :) I usually hear crickets chirp, not even a "Sorry, too busy right now."

@dragonsbane: thank you oh might modder of awesomeness!

I will look into it, it's an interesting idea. No ETA, yet.

I second the question from mbd2097: a set of craftable non-enchanted, yet enchantable earrings would be amazing
AzraelMuad-Dib Oct 28, 2013 @ 10:24am
would a set of craftable, mundane but enchantable earrings be possible at some point?

@Dragonsbane
Actually I was wondering if they would work together within a single game save.
That is, willl the mods affect what's in my INVENTORY... or just the vendors and Helgen's Keep? Say I load the Lite version, acquire the ring, and then later load the non-lite version (set to load after the Lite). Will that let me have all three rings in one game save, or would one mod overwrite the other?

To be honest, this is pure curiosity right now. I figure I'll probably just load the non-lite super-powered ring and have done with it.
Since most of the other mods I've considered trying (bag of trash, pocket smithy, etc) are only of interest as a workaround to carrying capacity, just using one of your mods ought to cut down significantly on how much I load.

@SideQuestPubs
Yes, you can have both mods, but there's a catch. The mod that loads last will be the one that will appear in the vendors and Helgen Keep. So, when you load a char that does not have any of the earrings to get one, you will have to setup the mod you want to be the last one to load.
But you need to do that only the first time, to get the item. After you get it, the load order does not matter anymore, as long as both mods are loaded, so you will not need to switch the load order when you switch chars.

Now, are there any conflicts between the two version? Like if I try this one and later decide I want the full-on "cheating" of the non-lite version?
Can the two coexist? Would installing both versions grant me all three types of earrings? Or could I replace one mod with the other, and have it simply change names and effects, with no other effort on my part? Or would something else be required?

Wow, wish I'd had one of these or the super-powered version in Morrowind and Oblivion.

In Oblivion I tended to rely on God Mode a little too often just to avoid leaving the loot behind.

And in Morrowind.... even God Mode doesn't do it.
Even COC to fake "fast travel" wasn't good enough.
I'd found some graphic glitch-or-other that allowed me to slowly move backwards via wiggling the mouse, or I could drop a few items, walk past them, pick them up and drop them in a new spot, but both of those were slow as can be.

Mod updated:

Added a 1000 carry bonus variant.

Also, changed the name of the rings:
- Earring of Lesser Unburden: gives 100 carry weight bonus
- Earring of Greater Unburden: gives 1000 carry weight bonus
Dragonsbane  [author] Sep 8, 2013 @ 5:10am
There are a lot of people asking for a 1000 one, but there are also a lot that are ok with this one (mainly the RPers and purists), cause its value is not high enought to negate the entire weight system (like my other earring does). I think I will create another earring and include it in this mod, leaving the decision of which one to choose to the player at game time. I will also change the names like some people suggested (get rid of the "lite" and use "lesser" and "greater" instead).

SWEET SPOT discussion: I am replacing two other mods with your highest carry weight earring, but if you update this light earring to have a carry weight of 1000, I would switch to the light earring. I use Bandolier and Knapsack Backpacks which together can't add 1000, so the earring for 1000 would be sweet. Thanks for the earring. It is nice to not have to have a choice to not sacrafice looks vs carry weight. Great Mod!

does the earring actually show up on your ear in third person? cause thats all i came here for. earrings in third person.
rose.noire Mar 23, 2013 @ 10:18am
Also, I think 200 wold be ideal.
rose.noire Mar 21, 2013 @ 9:58pm
Thanks for this--the 100k version seemed a bit much.
Dr. Kobayashi Feb 19, 2013 @ 7:30am
I agree with Yuniebeth. You could use the prefix Lesser for +100, Greater +1000 and Ultimate +100000.
Mr. Twaddleford Feb 17, 2013 @ 2:58pm
When I return to the computer on which I've installed Skyrim, I'm definitely using this mod. All the other extra carry-weight mods are pure overkill in my opinion. This one seems to hit a sweet spot of making hauling things less of a hassle whilst at the same time requiring some degree of inventory management, just to keep things interesting.
YunieBeth Nov 19, 2012 @ 11:33pm
I thank you. 100 is a big help & the 100000 was a major over kill. I dont mind a little help but God powers make a game a waste of time.

My complete worship and thanks for your innovative idea and implementation. Simplicity is always best and often later ideas screw up the original, perfect as ir. Now give thought to new projects, don't let people pick you apart.

I vote 1000, and remove lite from the name. Maybe "Earring of Lesser Unburden" versus "Earring of Greater Unburden"?
Nlyth Aug 25, 2012 @ 1:21am
@Dragonsbane
That would be awesome, thanks in advance!
Dragonsbane  [author] Aug 18, 2012 @ 4:38pm
@yarisse Yeah, I know the name is not that immersive. Shame on me, I guess... maybe I can come up with something more adequate next week when I arrive at home, where my gamming machine is.
Nlyth Aug 12, 2012 @ 3:34am
I do like the extra capacity from this item, which make it game-friendly without feeling like cheating, but I dislike the "lite" at the end of the earring name. But I understand why is that. Still keeps me from keeping the Lite version on my installed mods list, though.
joedub77 Aug 6, 2012 @ 12:07pm
This helps quite a bit without it feeling like cheating. A little more (like 200 maybe) would be even better.
Sigilien Aug 5, 2012 @ 2:43am
Yeah, I agree with RoninX, a 1000 will help a lot, even though I get to 4000 or more when I am trough a dungeon. So 1000 for a lite-version would be great.
Ronin X Jul 27, 2012 @ 3:10pm
That's quite the change from the regular version. 1000 would be a nice figure for the lite version.
