Earring of Unburden Lite

Description
==============================================================================
What is it?
As some people have asked for it, I created this version of the Earring of Unburden with a lowered bonus to carry weight capacity. This version contains two earrings that gives 100 and 1000 carry weight bonus respectively, as opposed to the non lite version that gives 100000.

These items does not use the ring or necklace slots so you can still use the ones you like.
They were made for people that, like me, do not want to left anything behind and do not have the patience anymore to do multiple dungeon-store-dungeon runs.

Hope you enjoy it and don't forget to rate it.

Where can I find it?
For people starting a new game, you can find the ring inside Helgen Keep. You can find it just following the Imperial or Stormcloak quest lines. On the Imperial entrance to the keep, you will find it in the Warden's chest and on the StormCloak entrance, you will find it on Gunjar's body.

If you already passed the introduction quest, you can buy the ring for less than 100 gold on the vendors below:

Whiterun
Belethor - inside his shop at the market.
Fralia Gray-Mane - kiosk near Belethor's shop.

Windhelm
Revyn Sadri - from the entrance, take the stairs to your right and keep going until you reach Calixto's. From there take the path going down taking right turns when available.

Riften
Madesi - kiosk in the Market Square.
Bersi Honey-Hand - inside the Pawned Prawn shop, near the blacksmith.

Solitude
Sayma - Bits and Pieces shop near the gates.

Markarth
Lisbet - inside Arnleif and Sons Trading Company, near the gates to the right.
Kerah - quiosk near the gate to the right.

Winterhold
Birna - inside Birna's Oddments.

Known issues and Conflicts

The earring uses the equipment slot 55. Any mods that share this trait will not permit the use of it's items and the earring simultaneously.

Dynamic Merchants mod - the earring will not appear on merchants shops if you load the Dynamic Merchants mod after Earring of Unburden. Thanks to nim for the info.

If you cannot find the ring in the stores, a quick fix is to make sure you set this mod as the last one in the load order, using the Skyrim launcher "Data Files" option.

When your character goes into an area (like the THalmor embassy) where you have to take off magic stuff it won't let you put the earring back on. How do I fix this?

I like the idea of in game craftable modded items. Seems it would be more 'legit' and bug free. More people should do that rather than just create an item and then try getting it to work in the game. This way you use the games' mechanics for you instead of against the public, which like me, most prolly never really use mods so when they do, they want them to be reliable. But I am going to try ur lite-version rings. Thanks for putting them out there.

Yes, thank you. I appreciate it, you're the first to respond to a request. :) I usually hear crickets chirp, not even a "Sorry, too busy right now."

I will look into it, it's an interesting idea. No ETA, yet.

I second the question from mbd2097: a set of craftable non-enchanted, yet enchantable earrings would be amazing
AzraelMuad-Dib Oct 28, 2013 @ 10:24am
would a set of craftable, mundane but enchantable earrings be possible at some point?

@Dragonsbane
Actually I was wondering if they would work together within a single game save.
That is, willl the mods affect what's in my INVENTORY... or just the vendors and Helgen's Keep? Say I load the Lite version, acquire the ring, and then later load the non-lite version (set to load after the Lite). Will that let me have all three rings in one game save, or would one mod overwrite the other?

To be honest, this is pure curiosity right now. I figure I'll probably just load the non-lite super-powered ring and have done with it.
Since most of the other mods I've considered trying (bag of trash, pocket smithy, etc) are only of interest as a workaround to carrying capacity, just using one of your mods ought to cut down significantly on how much I load.
