Hey, any ideas as to why I can't build or buy Warriors as Sumer? I see they're supposed to have a UU replacement, but it doesn't show in-game.

So which version of Summer is used is you have both BNW and G&K?

Where is the main music from? It's missing in the credits.
I'd love to find out.

That UA is so blatantly overpowered
Tomatekh  [author] May 7, 2020 @ 8:04pm
@BlueBalls
That's likely caused by an interaction with another mod. Are you using something that edits the civ selection screen? You can also try the individual civs instead of the cradle pack. It's possible only one of them doesn't work with the interface mod.
tanktopelms May 3, 2020 @ 7:42pm
not sure if this is still active but this and all other cradles civs are not appearing in the civ selection.

All of my civs work with YnEMP.
Rök'n'Stön Jan 22, 2019 @ 9:50am
IS this compatible with the "Yet (not) another earth map mod", as in, do you start in the true location?
Tarkhax Sep 21, 2018 @ 4:41pm
@Sof Should work just fine :Diplomat:

It has served me well to stay clear of Civ mods that have brief mentions of bugs in the Comments sections. They will likely break your game (learned the hard way). But it's only fair to turn it around: I've played with this mod forever and with all kinds of set-ups (Community Balance Patch, etc). Never had a problem. Recommend.

Colonialist Legacies' Vietnam is also really popular

I would also check out LastSword (Teddyk) and RyanJames civs. I know both have also done civs in the region.

Sorry to piggypack on this thread, but I love your mods and was wondering if you could recommend any Southeast Asian civilizations mods?

Surely Sumer should be allowed to use rivers as roads ? river barge transports would become before roads for these river peoples.
egg fu Nov 9, 2016 @ 2:46pm
honestly want to change the peace music to civ 6's sumerian modern era theme lmao
Tomatekh  [author] Sep 18, 2016 @ 5:09am
The mod should load and work with the CBP, but the stats are balanced around the base game and not altered for the changes made in the CBP.
Fean Sep 5, 2016 @ 12:36pm
Is this compatible with the Community Balance Patch/Vox Populi?

@Tomatekh worked like a charm!! Thanks for the DL and for making great mods!

I have a version 67. I can't guarantee it's exactly the same as the one that was posted here:

http://www.dropbox.com/s/b4375ber662fulc/Sumer%20%28BNW%20or%20GK%29%20%28v%2067%29.civ5mod

You can see if it works.
72runner Aug 24, 2016 @ 2:28pm
@Tomatekh Do you have version 67 by chance? I went and updated and messed up a savegame. Thanks!

I just looked for a near by mod to copy and paste the instructions, to try and help out real quick.

@Tomatekh @retrocity5 Thanks for the help guys! I was able to get it to work by doing what you said Tomatekh, but for the fun of it I also tried retrocity5's way and it worked just the same. Glad to see a great Civ Modding community.
Tomatekh  [author] Aug 13, 2016 @ 6:07am
@Chessence

Retrocity's instructions should work to manually extract it. However, that step shouldn't be necessary as the game is supposed to automatically extract it. Steam has issues all the time with installing stuff. You can also try unsubscribing before you start and resubscribing in game to sometimes force a download, or try clearing your civ v mod cache to reset your downloads.

@retrocity5

" Extract to "JFD's - (insert civilization here)"
:P
Norton Aug 12, 2016 @ 11:56pm
Download 7zip (it's freeware, and takes next to no time to install)
Download the Civ5Mod file from here -> Direct Download
Place the Civ5Mod in MyDocuments> MyGames> Sid Meiers Civilization 5> MODS
Right click the Civ5Mod file and select 7zip -> Extract to "JFD's - (insert civilization here)
Start the game up and hit Mods
Enable the mod
Click Next and begin a game.

Great mod, great civ. i just have one problem: I couldn't get the mod by pressing subscribe, so I used the direct download. It gave me a document which i put in my Mods folder but it wouldn't show up in the game. Am i doing something wrong?
Norton Aug 10, 2016 @ 7:29am
Sumer is a possibilty in Civ Vi, but with Gilgamesh... again *sighs*.
Eleos Jun 15, 2016 @ 8:40am
@Tomatekh

After an extensive production of inquisitors to cleanse my conquered cities, I am now receiving the two delagates for following the world religion. Weird, but good. I'll let you know about the ziggurat when I can.
Tomatekh  [author] Jun 14, 2016 @ 2:55pm
@Eleos

Thanks for the update. Ingame Editor shouldn't cause any problems (as I have it on 100% of the time myself). When I test my mods I generally only test them with the mod and Ingame Editor active, so it's easy for me to miss conflicts. I'm not familiar with 40sw4rm's Old World, but I'll look through it's files to see if I can see anything that might cause a conflict when used together with the Sumer mod (though it seems to be just a map pack which shouldn't cause any problems with other mods).
Eleos Jun 14, 2016 @ 12:20pm
@Tomatekh

Having learned this lesson in the past, I tried to limit the number of mods I run at any given time. I am concurrently running 40sw4rm's Old World Version 1-Beta and Ingame Editor Version 39. If I am being 100% honest, I am not very good at mods. I tried to find a captured unit using the Ingame Editor, completely messed up my game and had to revert to an earlier saved version. If I get a chance, I will start a new game and try to reproduce the error without using 40sw4rm's Old World or Ingame Editor. Again, thanks for the great work, and I am not just saying that because I have Akkadian cuneform symbols tattooed on my body. :steamhappy:
Tomatekh  [author] Jun 13, 2016 @ 8:21pm
@Eleos

Thanks for the report. I’ll try to look into it soon. Are you sure those glitches are caused by this mod and not another one (or an interaction between the two)? I ask because of your example regarding temples. As the ziggurat is a temple replacement, you can’t buy or build the base temple with Sumer in a standard game. Are you using any other mods which might impact religion or religious buildings that would allow you to build standard temples?
Eleos Jun 13, 2016 @ 7:35pm
Hi there! Love the mod, but there are a couple of glitches. First, I had a difficult time with the Grand Temple. I think I got around it by buying temples in my cities, in addition to ziggurats. Just having a ziggurat in each city wouldn't let me build the Grand Temple. In addition, I am on turn 334 and I am not getting credit for following the world religion that I created. Several other Civs are getting the two delegate bonus, but not Eannatum. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks for the great work!

The UA stacks with Resettlement fro 6 pop cities.

Love it, so much fun. Also kudos for professional finish.
Does the UA stack with Resettlement (Order, Cities start with 3 pop)?

For people who use Brave New World and my various “Cradle of Civilization” civ mods, Sumer is now also available as part of pack that collects Sumer, Harappa, Xia, & Caral and my Cradle City-States pack.
