Basically, the mod still works, but unfortunately, in conjunction with the tower can not water beer barrels. Plots are not a problem.

Any chance for an update? Source code to modify/update or include with another mod, full credit of course, or could you use some help? its been years - not sure if you will touch it again or want to. Thanks!

how do you irrigate crop plots?

I also experience what @[DoGz] God Emperor Trump has mentioned. I placed a tower in the Red Woods, tried both stone and metal intakes (vanilla) and cannot place them at all for crop irrigation, whatsoever.

What do you mean when you say "connect to your irrigation system"? If you're trying to replace the source with this, that's not going to work. If you mean you placed this, ran pipes from it and it's not irrigating crops(this does not irrigate cooking pots) then I'm going to have to wait until they update the dev kit and see what they've changed.

@bestscreenname my buddy and i used both regular pipes and s+ pipes yet to no avail were we able to connect the tower to our irrigation system

I know I've said this before but I have to decrease the file size, alter the wood textures as well as make the entire tower paintable so I hope you will check back for that! I've just been a bit preoccupied with my other mods/life.

@God Emperor You can hook up pipes but only for irrigation to crop plots/drinking taps. I've tried to tinker with the code to make feed Indy cooking pots but I'm not a programmer and haven't been able to do this.

@Brozenborg Doing that would require a separate blueprint and therefore double the file size which isn't something I'm interested in.

could you make a version that is just a replacement/uprade to the water vein well? as in it can ONLY be placed on water veins? i really cant stand the water well model. and wish there were upgrades in tiers... you know one each for thatch, wood, stone, adobe, metal and finally tek.

in the vanilla core game I tried to build a water tower using pillars and wood floors, placing a water reservoir on top... it was an absolute nightmare. But to do it any other way was weird, because the systems could only be gravity fed (from a lore standpoint, since, you know, I don't have a impeller motor or anything to charge the irrigation system with pressure). Anyway, good idea, you're right, ARK needed water towers for immersion and aesthetics (you're not alone!)

Correct, it's based off of the Scorched Earth Water Well so it's essentially a water storage container and not a water source(like a river/ocean) so it can only be used to irrigate crop plots. I can look into this in the future but I think it would require an entire rebuild based off the irrigation pipes vs the water well so I'm not sure how feasible it is.

I tried irrigating my industrial cooker with water pipes comming from this tower. This does not seem to work. Crops are irrigated just fine. is this a known issue?

@FLAMETHROWER A few things, dubCUT's Water Well mod and eco's Scorched Earth Decor mod for sure but I've never been a fan of the in-game water reservoirs and I like to build themed bases so the original idea was just to have something that stood out more than the reservoirs. The Scorched Earth map came out and I thought the tower would really fit in so I made this a few months ago but the file size was massive and just recently got around to remaking it. I also thought of a watch tower at the time but figured a water tower would provide more function.
