It sounds like you have to many terminals and not enough demand, good luck!
What am I doing wrong? This has happened with a food plant also. I start the game at the early stage so the product from industry is a good way to make some good cash at the start of the game whereas passengers can be rather slow at first.

You can make a copy of the 2 files and put it in your maps folder and make changes to it yourself, here is the locatio of my maps folder:
"D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Transport Fever\maps\BigFlatGridTexasCities"
I did also try a map with only 9 cities, but in the long game that is not enought cities for me. To supply a city of 10k pop with 80% plus toos and machines you need to spread a lot of "extra" resourses around the map.

1. Do you have a link to somewhere that explains how to create maps? I'd like to try it myself one of these days.
2. When designing the map, can you place trees that automatically get removed as you build or as the city grows (kind of like how the SimCity forest map acts). It would be kind of neat to have a map that's a giant forest that you cut through when building your tracks & as the city grows.
3. With so many cities it's almost impssible to manage. I've made it up to 12 cities, but it becomes a logistical nightmare. I like the concept of the map, but have you considered a large map with maybe 8 cities spead out in a grid, like...

And, with this one, LOTS of distance between the cities and especially in the center where a distribution hub can be placed.
In your maps.lua file you had the start year at 1990. Why The Hell did you do this???

Great mod man just chnage that line.
And one more thing could you add like just a bit of water to test ships? Like a bar of water/river that cuts through the map? Wuld be amazing. anyway thanks
Becuase the cities are all lined up, and because the resources in the supply chain are also lined up and positioned outside of the city structure, this map is a great place to try out concepts such as central distribution hubs.
I appoligize for my incorrect information erlier. My very fist attempt at this sort of thing.
Good luck
