It's actually already been done by someone else. Look up "Prometheus Skill Points Re-Renewed."
I'd say Heroes are fine at lvl 40... infact I think they have to many points as you can almost completely fill up their skill trees.
@Blaze, also a question will I need to start a new game to get the effects of this mod?

will the hero get his missing skill point from becoming lvl 5 and not having the mod? or in other words, does it work in retrospect?

@Cass I do not know, I never played multiplayer with mods, ask this question to the total war forum.
@Wati Azrik the Maze Keeper & The Green Knight is working as indended, that is the skill point dump you see, it lets you spend the excess skill points. There is a hero i hear now called Kihar the Tormentor that i have not created a skill point dump for because i never heard of him before.
I need more confirmation about Kihar the Tormentor before i do anything, I do not own norsca so someone has to test this out if he needs a skill point dump.

Then i need to find out if it will apply to Warhammer 1 LL aswell, or only new LL from Warhammer 2.
After that i will have to find out if the reason for the 40 points is that CA is generous or if the new LL skill trees contain a larger pool of skills to spend points on, so they need an increase point pool.
As you can see I do not have an answer for you, but I will try to balance when to give points, and how many to give around those variables.
It affects your campaign in a good way, That skill point dump prevents Azrak and The Green Knight from glitching out.
@Charlie Sabre Pretty sure it has to be something on your end, you can troubleshoot your game by only using this mod, then start a new campaign on easy and rush through it to recruit grombrindal and level him up to 10.
you may still want to consider placing the 1 point per lv somewhere in the middle tho It shouldn't cause any problems with miscalculation as long as you have the same number of lvs with one point per lv. and putting it in the middle lets the ai take full advantage and also gives players a "slow period" to enjoy the direction they took their character in before proceeding to lv them up. effectively letting them play as the character they want to be without the game being totally finished by the time they get there.
And Blaze, sorry for being a lazy a$$, it was literally a 5 min work from searching to editing. Keep up the good mods!

You gave a good point about giving double in the beginning, but if players forget that it is back to 1 point in the end they will be devastated when they realize they have calculated the skill points of their awesome Lord or LL wrong and suddenly go back to getting 1 point from level 25-30, or like you wanted it 20-30.
Regarding changing the skill tree, that is a separate DataBase table and would cause this mod more incompatbility with other mods. What you are looking for is a mod that revamps the skill tree, it is better to do a separate mod for that.
@Blaze — any plans for separate 55 SP version for us, munchkins? ;)
