Another Masterpiece Skyferret! Well done. Great Puzzle.

Variation on this map: Get all three cubes to the end to open the last door (e.g. have three buttons open the door). I tried to see if I could do it (in theory) and I did.

There wasn't a lot of "ow it burns" in this map, but I think lighting them up is more fun.

Clever and fun. The only question is, do I enjoy dropping cubes on turrets or burning them the most.

Still made me smile and the actual puzzle content is still good.

Wicked good.

The last 3 turrets have been made bouncing for a while.
Thanks it's a nice map, well done and good puzzel.
I keek going throught your other maps.

Yeah, when I run out of ideas, I'll sometimes go back on older maps. With Hammer, it can become such a more polished version.

Ref your comment about adapting snippets toward a hammer map, looks like you took a variant on this first room into the first chapter of Wheatley's Reprisal - recognised it almost immediately. That was kind of neat to spot. Thanks for creating.

excellent!

LOL. We all love turret death. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing.

Maybe I should look back at this one and adapt a few snippets towards a Hammer map.

Now that was absolutely brilliant. I’m not gonna play any others tonight because I don’t want to take the smile off my face/want to go to bed happy. Out of all of your many many excellent maps that I’ve played of yours (I must have played close to 100 of yours by now), that has got to be in my top ten. Apart from all the rest of the excellent elements in this map: why is watching turrets bouncing around a cage so much fun? I didn’t manage to coat one of them at 1st (it just got knocked over by the others bouncing and stopped on non-coated part of floor), so I spent many happy minutes waiting for it to get knocked by the others and then got it coated so all were bouncing – sad I know, but I’m still smiling. Thank you so much

Excellent fun adventure! The extra elements, I suspect, were to prevent trapping. I don't know... did not get trapped. Thanks for your great work!

This is a lot of fun, but there seemed to be a number of elements that weren't required. Eg. the bounce gel on the flat square next to the laser grill, and the little loop-back room with the fizzler.

Only had one BS death. I thought the turret was disabled pinned to the wall by the blue tractor beam. It was still active and caught me in the open. Only one save was used.
Skyferret  [author] Jul 19, 2013 @ 1:06pm
Ah yes, they just keep bouncing around. And they don't shut up. I think they have to stop bouncing and come to rest before they stop talking. LOL. But anyways, I think I made this puzzle with too much complexity. I've been trying lately to use lesser elements but at the same time imply logical thinking. But sometimes you have to add some extra elements if you want to put a tricky twist into things.

Killing turrets is fun! I started last night but got stuck at the part after you go up a level where there is a laser wall with a couple of buttons just beyond and a blue gel patch on the ground. The buttons on the other side of the lasers were too inviting so I put my cubes over there to no avail. I was too tired so I went to bed. This morning I did it the way you are supposed to and lo, the laser wall goes away! I particularly enjoyed the last bit when you get to watch them bounce around in the tank. I sat and watched that for a minute before exiting :)

glad you liked it. And yeah, i guess its meant to kill you a little bit. LOL.
metadavid Jun 5, 2013 @ 1:58am
Thanks Skyferret that was great fun. Got killed a few times before figuring it out.

I'll have a video uploaded within the next 3 to 4 hours.

I can't find out any ways to pass through the room in which 3 turrets are placed. The entrance room's door also is anti-material grill. I managed to pass by the course in which I took the cube reflecting from the blue gel pannel. plz place a video clip there. Thx.

Excellent test chamber! Very challenging, but not impossible. Very satisfying when completed. Not too easy, also not as I said, impossible, :) I'm going to see if you've built any other test chambers now.
pepofist Jul 21, 2012 @ 1:13am
Just amazing! Thanks you very much (:
Salimuyne Jul 20, 2012 @ 3:44am
Yes, I meant the area just after the laser field and the four buttons area.
Skyferret  [author] Jul 20, 2012 @ 2:50am
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you like it. The part you mentioned about having to walk many times between buttons and portalable surfaces, do you mean having to bring the cubes to the 2 buttons that de-activates the first laser field, or the part where there's a line of 4 buttons.
If it is the latter where you have to do a lot of cube moving and button switching, then I apologize. I try not to make a puzzle where the player has to do excess back and forth walking.
Salimuyne Jul 20, 2012 @ 2:16am
It took me a small while but I was able to figure out this map. My praise goes in particular to the very first section though, which to me felt like something straight out of the official levels. On reflection, the preceeding areas may have been likewise. My only complaint is the cooridor between the first and second areas, which I had to walk many times to go between the buttons and the one portalable surface available.
Skyferret  [author] Jul 15, 2012 @ 2:55pm
That's what I was thinking about how you did it. I did try that move earlier but couldn't seem to do it like you did. I'd either miss or land in the goo pond. LOL. Perhaps I'll re-edit the map.

Thanks for uploading the video.
Captain Quakas Jul 15, 2012 @ 11:42am
Here's the video, it's only the 1st part of the chamber so it's not that big. It's possible to do it in only one visit on the orange bit but I did it in 2.

Skyferret  [author] Jul 15, 2012 @ 9:38am
I'll be looking forward to that
Captain Quakas Jul 15, 2012 @ 6:26am
Oh...well as usually, I did it completely different, I'll upload a video later today so you can take a look at it
Skyferret  [author] Jul 14, 2012 @ 9:46am
Hmm, nope, that's was not the intended solution. Did you switch the polarity on the tractor beam to blue, and then use it to lift upwards, and then hop over to the turrets? The correct method is to while standing by the cube droppers, get a cube pushed up to the cieling (using blue tractor beam), then a portal switch so that the cube falls into the portal, and then shoots out a portal across from the turrets, and knock them off.
Captain Quakas Jul 13, 2012 @ 5:30am
I managed to jump from the starting area to the orange bit with turrents using a funnel, is it how it's supposed to be done?
