As said in the mod description, it doesnt remove original belief at all :
-Add approx. 90 beliefs, These beliefs are mostly an expand from existing beliefs for a wider choice for all beliefs type. (check screenshot)
-All vanilla belief were renamed for grouping purpose and to blend with the added beliefs. Now when you browse them while creating a religion, you have a more organised view.
Thanks to you, you really grasped the intention behind the mod. The situation you described is exactly what this mod is made for, more choices in response to bad situation (like an unwanted starting location).
Instead of restarting your game for a better spot, you played along.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a positive comment, im really glad you enjoyed!
While doing that, I'm afraid I have to be careful what I have added but I'm not sure what could the limitations can be have in Civ V's engine...
Glad you like them :)
Good day!
Glad you appreciate them :)
thx for leaving a positive comment
Thankyou. I'll just have to rush a pantheon and grab them first :P
Hi glad you like the mod, but pantheon that give faith from terrain are present in the vanilla , unmodded game.
Desert Folklore +1 Faith from Desert Tiles is in the base game for example.
I find them too OP.
You are right, thats why i was able to add 90 new ones. This is kinda intended for 2 reasons.
1) The number of pre built function and attribute that you can modify in the belief system when you mod is unfortunatly very limited.
2) To keep the vanilla balance of the beleief system, i chose to extend existing beliefs and multiply them by covering all ressource type.
Thanks for your comment and im glad you like the mod =)
Thats another game parameter and this mod dont affect it. It is not based on the number of belief but on the size of the map.
There are other mods out there that increase the number of available religion per map size that you can combine with this one if you want.
Next step was to try the Troubleshooting section written in the mod description but you saved some time, since you got one of the rarest problem.
In rare cases you would have to Veify the integrity of your game file in the steam library. Reinstalling has the same effect but is more drastic.
Im glad it works now and im flattered that you went through a full reinstallation just to get this mod to work :)
Good day!
1) Test a fresh, single player, new game with only this mod enabled
2) Make sure you start your game from the Mod menu and NOT from the single player menu
Yes this cache problem isnt related to specific mods and can happen to any file on steamworkshop vs civ5. Now you have a fix :)
Glad it worked!
cool! hope it fixes it for you! its frustrating that this civ 5 mods steam problem is still there after all theses years
:) what do you mean you failed?
this directory may change depending on your windows version, this step means, find the civ 5 mod folder, in My documents
as said in mod description, its a common cache problem, follow the steps written in the troubleshooting section to fix it.
Glad to hear you found a workaround! It was indeed lucky :)
This is a common mistake while using mods. You must always finish your game before updating them because most of the time your savegame will be bound to the versions it was started with, compatible or not, it will require this version.
Unfortunatly, unless you had a copy of the previous mod, you will be forced to start a new game.
Sorry for the trouble, i also learned the hard way myself back in the days that i started using mods. There should be a warning message when you click the Update button in the Mod menu.
If it's not, how can I revert my version to make it compatible so I can finish my game before updating again?
- Fixed a bug where 'Aluminum' was excluded from the Blessed Minings beliefs
Thanks
