not working
boneys26 Dec 12, 2020 @ 10:33am
Started a new game with this mod enabled both oil and refinery start on 3200 at Level 1 not 800.. not looked at the other industries.
rogerek Apr 10, 2020 @ 1:17pm
Just installed the mod, it is working ok. For savegames, remember to activate the mod on Load menu (use the "+" button on to the right of "Enabled mods" list. As NF Soulseeker indicated, you have to force your industries with level 5 (already producing 1600) to downsize. I shut down lines for all primary products like oil, stone, logs, coal and grain/livestock for couple years. That forces downsize them and cascades to all other industries receiving them like saw mills and refinery.

It's been a really long time, how do I get mods to work again? I can't seem to get any mod to work.
Tfeloo Hy'Gfosaad 梅田の空 Apr 8, 2019 @ 4:09pm
If your industry was at level 5 when you installed this mod, its production will only change (to this mod's new level 4) if it's downsize. if you don't want to bother with cutting lines, waiting for it to downsize and yadda yadda, I can suggest getting the ploppable buildings mod, and just place a new industry of the same time right next to the old one.
Lance Pinciotti Mar 10, 2019 @ 9:24am
dear @zemfree there is an incompatibility with the industry workers mod. I will tell them the same
giosto Nov 19, 2018 @ 3:22am
Does it work on savegames as said in the description? My oil well has been on 1600 production for a long time, as has the refinery, but there is no upgrade whatsoever. Even destroyed the station to get rid of the oil stocked there and stimulate demand, but it didn't work either.

Best Mod i have installed since i play this game. :steamhappy:
Easy but effective!

Doesn't seem to be applying to log production, even though I've let it downgrade.
Ootlander Feb 9, 2018 @ 7:16am
@zemfree @ sinon I'm having the exact same problem, random industries will drop line connection for exactly one game month and then reconnect. Not all of them do it just certain ones, I curtainly have a crude well, farm and tool/machine factory doing it.
zemfree  [author] Feb 5, 2018 @ 6:55am
@manji the mod is not for mission, use it in free games
@sinon i guess you mean the notification when the storage of a factory is full and you cant handle that much goods - factory should also stop producing until your truck / train station is empty.
that problem doesnt come with the mod, its in the game. you will notice it more often with the mod because the factorys produce more goods
Manji Feb 3, 2018 @ 7:53am
this mod breaks the goods factory in the 5th europe mission as soon as it gets upgraded. because then the ouput raises to 3200 BUT you also suddenly need input to produce goods.
ALEX Jan 31, 2018 @ 9:08am
@sinon
Yes, I noticed the same problem
sinon Dec 27, 2017 @ 8:37am
Question: Whenever this mod is active in my games, I constantly get notification that industries lost connections to a production line, although there're working train/truck stations right next to them. The problem solves itself after a couple of minutes but always pops up again. Quite annoying.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?
zemfree  [author] Dec 18, 2017 @ 10:55am
hello @gorby
that feature was removed from the game with the summer update, as i know.
So no fast growth boost anymore.
Gorby Dec 18, 2017 @ 9:45am
@zenfree - there was separate mod called "Z Production Growth"; my apologies if you're not the author of that mod too but it seems that mod no longer exists. When I try to go to the page it says "That item does not exist. It may have been removed by the author."
MisterHamstring Dec 6, 2017 @ 3:50am
In the overview-panel all numbers seem to be devided by 4, production as well as maximum production, for all industries.
zemfree  [author] Dec 4, 2017 @ 4:39pm
@stoj
Thank you,
is this only on your oil-wells or does it also happen with other industries?
MisterHamstring Dec 3, 2017 @ 2:51pm
Good mod.:steamhappy:
Question: the production of my oil-wells go up to 3200 indead, but the overview-panel of my industries still says 800...
Yowst Nov 27, 2017 @ 5:28am
Ah yes, I kinda thought why the production shot skyhigh at the beginning. I also tried to supply 7 cities with one factory which can explain the quite high production later on.

It's cool to try and get it all shipped with seven platforms.
zemfree  [author] Nov 26, 2017 @ 4:37pm
hello tjobbert,
the production cant increase more as there is potential for it - thats game behavor. Only in the first time of an upgrade the production limit is high because it fills the internal storage of the factory. I tryed to balance the storeage in a good way, so its not over extended.

Maybe you should think about transporting more goods - as citys grow they need lots of goods.
So try expanding your capacitys :)
Yowst Nov 21, 2017 @ 6:30am
The production limit indeed increased but the actual production also increased way above the patential! Is this normal? Will it affect the inustries now that my stations are full in no time?

Basically, is it possible to just ONLY raise the production limit itself by having more upgrade levels?
zemfree  [author] Nov 13, 2017 @ 5:40pm
hello Aquantis -
i cant confirm that, it works as designed without crashing the game.
Maybe some other mod crashes your game?
Davo Nov 9, 2017 @ 2:20pm
Hey with the latest TF update every time an industry upgrades my game completely crashes
Wallum Daffo Aug 25, 2017 @ 6:29pm
@zemfree
I totally overlooked that mod. thanks
NZ_Wanderer Aug 21, 2017 @ 3:27pm
Many thanks for updating this mod :)
zemfree  [author] Aug 21, 2017 @ 3:26pm
Hello,
updated the mod for latest version of the game.
There should be no errors / conflicts at all.

@Nelso
You are right, it only shrinks the stocks to make them fit inside the industrymodel.
Next time i will overwrite only the specific fuction from scratch instead of just copying the complete file.
@Wallum Daffo
I had no problems with the value that is transfered from an industry to a station. You could consider getting the x4 loading speed addon.
Wallum Daffo Jul 24, 2017 @ 1:27pm
The only other issue with this mod is that it doesn't address how fast cargo is transfered from an industry to a station. It still only transfers at a rate of 1 unit per second. The only work around with this is to build a whole bunch of stations with just one line running from them. Of course this runs into the issue of space around industries.
Nelso Jul 24, 2017 @ 10:34am
@simplicity That is correct, I think the most it will do is lower the storage at the factories by 4x.
NZ_Wanderer Jul 23, 2017 @ 5:01pm
Thanks for the input :) - would I be right in assuming that us deleting the file won't actually do any damage?
Nelso Jul 23, 2017 @ 3:45pm
I ran a diff, it looks like the mod changes constructionutil.lua in order to make the stocks more dense (4x the # stocks). There are also some changes to "makeStreet" which don't make sense (the author probably copied a bug from an earlier version).

If I may give some advice, never change or duplicate a huge file like constructionutil.lua, because it will break stuff in the future. Make a new lua file (I would call it z_production_increase.lua), copy in the one function you need to change (makeStocks), and require that new file from the .con files.
pauljrhere Jul 20, 2017 @ 6:28am
Thank you, i just did not know where to find the file.
NZ_Wanderer Jul 20, 2017 @ 1:45am
As Killface said below you have to delete a file.. (constructionutil.lua)
The file is in c:\steam\steamapps\workshop\content\446800\805203766\res\scripts\ - Once you delete that file the game will load again...
Good hotfix until the Author fixes it properly...
pauljrhere Jul 19, 2017 @ 10:39pm
Can you tell me how to fix this mod?
NZ_Wanderer Jul 19, 2017 @ 5:30pm
Thank you for the hotfix, you saved my game :steamhappy:
Killface Jul 19, 2017 @ 2:45pm
Hotfix: I just deleted the constructionutil.lua from the mod's folder, game loads again.
Nails Nathan Jul 18, 2017 @ 5:03pm
It's this mod, unfortunately. Mod broke after Today's update.
NZ_Wanderer Jul 18, 2017 @ 4:36pm
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless I am doing something completly wrong, this mod seems to be broken now (I am running the test version of the game)
Screen 1 shows I only have this mod installed in the game

Screen 2 shows the error I get when I try to load the game

Works perfectly !! Nice mod.

I managed to get one food factory supplying the entire map :)
Shipping container trains galore!

Very nice work. Thank you
Neto'en Mar 13, 2017 @ 12:43pm
Any chance for GOG-version of mod ?
zemfree  [author] Dec 18, 2016 @ 5:21pm
you need to upgrade or downgrade your industry - this is how the setting get applied on savegames.
sinon Dec 16, 2016 @ 9:10am
@wubbe: yes, you have to.
wubbe Dec 16, 2016 @ 6:53am
put it in but nothing happened... do i have to start a new game for this to work?
juanvater Nov 28, 2016 @ 3:55pm
Is there any way to increase the speed which the factory transfers the goods to the station? And, if so, is there any way to make it transfer to more than one station at the same time? It's really bothering me. I noticed that the max transfering speed it's 1 item per second. Not fast enough when the production is at 2000 and there are 3 station waiting to carry goods to severals cities. Please, help. Thank you!
zemfree  [author] Nov 28, 2016 @ 2:36pm
i havent seen a limit for the push to the stations. But the factory has a limit production growth per year.
Flexible Games Nov 27, 2016 @ 12:10pm
Is there a limit to how fast an industry can push goods to a waiting station? This seems to be the biggest limiting factor.
zemfree  [author] Nov 24, 2016 @ 3:37am
Thank you SilentKiller, i fixed the oil well.
@Baleur
Thats not true, i got the production over 9000 - try the mod it works.
If you want a faster growth try my secound mod or you will need a lot of ingame years to reach such limits.
Baleur Nov 24, 2016 @ 2:59am
Does this really work though?
I heard someone say on the forums that if ANY product/goods/resource reaches 4000 units on the map, anywhere on the map, in trains or in cargo stations or wherever, the industries will stop producing said thing.
Like a hardcoded limit on how many of one thing can exist on the map.
True or not? I hope not =)
SilentKiller(Gr) Nov 24, 2016 @ 2:43am
nice mod put can you check the oil well cause its default and not 800 like all the other
