it might be sounding similar to Tullastrasse used in German, but honoring people with naming streets are just not that popular;
fancy names after the foundation of the People's Republic of China have seen more common usage. 解放(Jiefang/liberation), 裕华(Yuhua/prosperous China), 兴华(Xinghua/again prosperous China), 建华(Jianhua/well literally building China, however I would interpret it yet again as prosperous China) are among them. as you could see here even for the literally same meaning the naming could be diversed;
in '77 there perhaps had been a book/dictionary on common location names of China, yet much has changed since then. I'd live with no Chinese name packs for the moment for -- well I think -- a reason good enough as discussed above, showing great complexities.

in the city of 石家庄(Shijiazhuang), longitudinal streets(running N-S) are named as "xx 路(road)" while latitudinal streets(running W-E) are named as "yy 街(street)";
and streets could be named after people, while people names are still diversed and people from all around have different tastes in choose one from another. 中山(yat-sen/Zhongshan/1st president for the Republic of China, who People's Republic of China still honors as the father of the nation in 20th century), and 庆铃(Qingling, the wife to the president) might just be common and a little bit less common respectively. other people names used as street names are much less common though. examples could be found in Bejing as 张自忠路(a general), 赵登禹路(another general), in other cities 子龙路 or 赵云路(an ancient general); btw cities could also be named after people like 中山, yet again the president, and 秦皇岛, after the 1st emperor of China, circa 2200 years ago. tbc

Chinese cities historically are often square, almost regardless of terrain for (remotely) Taoism preference in symmetry, the naming could be much diversed. There are locations named after old city gates, like 建德门, a counterpart for an Ettlingentor in German, while only in limited cases the streets are named after city gates like 德胜门(Deshengmen) in Beijing;
in some regions, the northern China for instance, there could be common names like 二道河(Erdaohe/second river) in a lot of places, 五道口(Wudaokou/fifth road) like in Beijing, or 五大道(Wudadao/fifth avenue) in 天津(Tianjin) due to similar dialects spoken in N, NE China;
naming with numbers are found in use extensively in the city of 济南(Jinan), where in the old town almost all the streets are named literally as 经三路(3rd longitudinal str), and 纬二路(2nd latitudinal str.), however this is unique and not appliable even in the new city districts in Jinan; tbc.

Indeed a names pack would be nice.

however there could be a mistake here about street names.
yes, in Chinese cities some streets are named after other cities/locations like 南京路(Nanjing street), 乌鲁木齐路(Urumqi str.), 北京路(Beijing str.) like the ones often found in 上海(Shanghai), yet they are not that common, let alone "Hong Kong str.", maybe nowhere to be found expect for the one in Singapore;
more frequently the streets are named after historical sites or features, and landmarks like 鼓楼(Gulou/drum tower) in a number of cities that has been relatively big and rich and historically important, Beijing, 天津(Tianjin), 南京(Nanjing) and 西安(Xi'an) for instance, 新街口(Xinjiekou/new crossroad) found in Beijing and Nanjing; however as people don't concentrate around train stations, chapels or temples, or post offices in China -- tbc.

之前上传到workshop的文件夹结构搞错了,现在我又测试地图应该确实可以用了,居然一直没有发现这么严重的问题...
Previouly the files uploaded to workshop has a wrong structure, preventing map from being shown and selectable in game, it has now been fixed.

Well hopefully a chinese city/street name pack will arise.
There are still quite a few common street names all around various cities in China, most cities have a "Beijing road", "Shanghai road", "Hong Kong road" etc.

Well, a short answer would be no, the street names are ingame default than specified.
The cities in this map, though, are placed and named as IRL. The names are of 拼音/Pinyin/Mandarin in Roman characters for that I failed to implement Chinese characters ingame, though UTF-8, they show up as squares in my attempt.

And here is the longer version:
Chinese street names are a little bit different I suppose, while some cities share very few common street names like 中山Zhongshan (name of the 1st president Republic of China), 裕华Yuhua ("Prosperous China"), we don't use common names like "altstadt", "kirchenstrasse", or "poststrasse" so often as German people do.
And just for discretion China is a large country where people speak dialects and use different terms from North to South, East to West. So I'd not expect a common set of street names to come up soon.
Baleur Nov 13, 2016 @ 12:34am
What about city and street names? Will they be chinese names for new grown streets, or english names?
