Right, so this works for Tropeognathus when I last used it, since you need to hit it with a chain bola to even begin to passive tame it. However, I have to point out that the engram is set to level 65... when the rocket launcher itself is set to 87. And the rocket launcher is a prereq to learning the bola in this case, so the engram level is deceptive. Unfortunately, it seems the mod has been dead for some time, which is sad because had this released alongside the Tropeo, I feel it would've been extremely popular. If the mod creator ever comes back, I hope they make some changes to make this learnable at 65 instead of having to wait until 87 to learn it for real.

Making these work on things like Brontos would be un-realistically game-breaking. Not even the regular chain bola works for those, so why should this one? I'm all for realism, it just doesn't make sense to be able to trap a gigantic creature with something you can just fire out of your %&^*. Speaking of which, is this thing craftable in the workbench, or in your pocket? This is super awesome, I just hope this mod hasn't died.

@noah.klima probably not that easy without changing the big dinos themselfes and that would be a total conversion mod. I have not much time to mod lately but next time i am on it i can take a look if there is a better way to do hold gigas etc

also make it work on animals like brontos and the bigger dinos

think you can make a mod with a bola that can hold a giga in place? make it shoot out of a cannon or something maybe so its somewhat expensive?

@noah.klima i dont think so, it works on the same creatures as the chain bola: argentavis, paracer, quetzal, rex, spino, rhino, wyvern

I actually really need this because I have so many Tamable Wyverns, undead Wyverns. Weaker and early mod Dodo Wyvern. The volcano Island on the center map has a lot of them. And I want them all lol

@Xithus When I find some time I will create a more SP friendly version of the bazooka bola. I had something like quez taming in mind when I started this mod, but it would be unplayable in PVP

Anyway way to adjust bola length or get rid of the 10 second bola immunity? I play mostly SP and many items don't work as well when you are by yourself. Would love if this being heavy duty lasted a minute or so depending on bola immunity to help me tame things like quetz in SP.
