You are right, there is some problem with the bodyguard unit
There was a kingdon of Asturias, that latter on became kingdon of Leon.
At aound 1200 ad the "conquista" was already in the southern area of the peninsula, as in 12 century Algarve, Sevilla and Corduba were conquered.
Barcelona, almost did not play ay part in the reconquest, as it was rapidly assimilated by Aragon.
heres a little bit about the mod
The Ducal Kingdoms mod aims to allow players to play as duchies starting from small beginings and then creating their empire, there will be the option as many factions to claim independancy from your current faction and if you do so you will be able to name your kindom as you wish and doing as you wish. You can also still play as new factions we will be introducing aswell. you must reach a certain goal before you can claim independancy though. SET BETWEEN 500-700
Anyway it might be interesting to include a separatist faction.or rebel nobles.
