I'm glad you like it! They are not named the name and they don't have the same material ID, so you can use both.

I haven't thought about it, but i'll put it on my todo list.

Ah well when I couldn't find it on chucklefish, and didn't find any mention of it on http://starbounder.org/Modding:Materials:Mods I made my own. Still, you can utilise the rendering.config.patch to suite your needs.
