I honestly don't know what full control of prussia means, I have everything from Brandenburg to Prussia, and I had the military thingie decision, yet I see no decision to form Prussia
Ikta Jun 3, 2020 @ 9:40pm
will this ever be updated?
Gypsum Nov 7, 2019 @ 5:09pm
could you make it so if your primary title is within prussia (i forgot which de jure duchies are in prussia tbh), and you are german (and are feudal), you can from prussia as well
antonabelentsev Dec 13, 2018 @ 7:14pm
For some reason the title flag is black with holy fury

Soldat Wotanaz Aug 14, 2017 @ 6:36am
can you be a Norse pagan and still form prussia?
pietrocious Apr 29, 2017 @ 2:22pm

@Vargr
Because the Teutonic Knights wiped out the prussian culture when they crusaded the baltics which was before the kingdom of prussia existed so instead of prussians being prussian they were now german.
Gate Captain Hervis Feb 8, 2017 @ 2:40pm
enjoying the mod, but i have a question. why arent we allowed to create prussia with the prussian culture?
Xanadu-King Jan 24, 2017 @ 5:25pm
@British Empire
That would be cool, but a little game breaking for so early. I mean creating such a centralized state at any time in CK2 would be devistatingly powerful. Perhapse, instead of the whole German Empire, it could simply the NGF (North German Federation).
Oceania Dec 10, 2016 @ 1:30am
would it be a good idea to make an event for prussia so that you can from the german empire.
honker Nov 29, 2016 @ 5:43am
Where is the Obodrities is this time?
Church Nov 18, 2016 @ 8:04pm
@Xanadu-King
The Empire of Germania can only be formed from the 769 start date. When Charlegmagne de facto created the HRE it made the Empire of Germania title forfeit and removed it from the map, replacing it with the HRE's de jure territory. So you have to create the title before Charlemagne created the HRE, i.e before the 867 start date and in 769 one.
Xanadu-King Nov 18, 2016 @ 10:51am
@Skuldakn The German Empire is the HRE in CK2. When the HRE is fromed, the empire title being used at the time has its name changed to HRE. Unless I am wrong, you can only make the German Empire pre HRE, so in 769 or 867 start dates. However making the HRE has a high likelyhood of happening in those start dates because the computer always tries to acomplish major actions.

@Craniasaurus Rex III Well yes a German Catholic King can form the kingdom of Prussia, however they have to first be independant. (At least that is how I read it when cheking the formation description.) If you are a duke that owns both Brandenburg and Prussia under an Emperor title character, then you can also form Prussia.

My own question, why is it only German culture? In EU4 you can be Saxon, Pommeranian, or Prussian. Obviously since Germanic Prussian doesn't exist in CK2 it makes sense for it to be just purely German. However both Saxon and Pommeranian exist, so why not add them to the possible culture choices?
Skuldakn Nov 12, 2016 @ 2:15pm
So, quick question: How exactly do I form the German Empire? I saw it in the files, and I found it in the Title Search. Howeve, I don't really see a decision to form it. Is it an event, or something not finished yet?
Lord_Crane Nov 1, 2016 @ 9:32pm
so can a king of a german catholic still create the kingdom of prussia, or does the duchy of brandenburg have to be the primary title? Thanks!
Reven Oct 10, 2016 @ 2:57pm
bitte auf für deutsch pls German ^^

Hello, uldate and still need help.

I started as Pruthenia in 769. It is now 821. My culture is Prussian and religion is Catholic. I possess Brandenburg but not Altmark. Brandenburg is also Catholic. To keep my expanding terrain under one ruler, I felt I had to hoose to become the King of Poland. My son is my heir High Chief of Lesser Poland. I annexed Pomerania and Silesia over several wars and subjugated Greater Poland. While not all provinces are Prussian or Catholic, they are slowly converting or being converted.

What must I do to get the mod to fire so that I may become King of Prussia?

(Only somewhat related, via the ~ window, I tested the give_title e_germany_prussia <character id> and that formed the Empire but not the kingdom. I also tested give_title k_germany_prussia but that did not work.)

I hope you can help. Thanks.

....Pagen.... (Not taken.... :)
Argam Sep 26, 2016 @ 1:04pm
Hello. He was neither. He was taken. Now he is Catholic. TF
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 26, 2016 @ 9:31am
@Argam - Is your character German Catholic (or Catholic heretic)?
Argam Sep 26, 2016 @ 7:53am
Hello.

I love the idea! Thank you for making it!

Will it work starting in 769?

(I started as Pruthenia. In 802, I took Brandenburg, made it a Duchy, and the event didn't fire. What am I doing wrong?)

Thanks!

Also, a quick question, when the RoM expansion for EU4 comes out, if we use this mod and convert our save file, would Prussia then become a Prussian Monarchy? Or is that extra coding you would have to do?
Xanadu-King Sep 21, 2016 @ 2:38pm
That is a good question, since in CK2 the Prussian culture is not the same as EU4 Prussian, the former of which becomes Old Prussian when converted to EU4. However I think if you have a ruling German or Pommeranian that has control over the CK2 Prussian provinces, then they should convert to EU4 Prussian nicely. I mean I guess you could "Settle Germans" or "Persuade Resettlement" for German culture, but it just seems odd to me is all. I mean having an nation of Prussia, without any Prussians?
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 21, 2016 @ 12:52pm
Alright guys. Question. What goes through your mind when you conquer all of Prussia and the counties are all tribal? Can you manage that? Or should I do something with that? Like as soon as you get any of the Prussian counties under your control you can "settle" germans there, turning tribal settlements into castles and change the culture to german? Please, let me know what you guys think!
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 21, 2016 @ 12:09pm
@elektrofrosch - Yes, I would appreciate it. I'll send you a friend request. I was learning German last year, then stopped, going to start again soon!
elektrofrosch Sep 21, 2016 @ 11:12am
That would be very kind. If you need help with the translation I could help you a bit.
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 21, 2016 @ 8:50am
@elektrofrosch I am soo sorry! I don't speak German and I don't have a translation for it. I guess for now I can copy English to German as a temporary fix.
elektrofrosch Sep 21, 2016 @ 7:49am
I don´t know why but all stuff your mod adds is named "GERMAN". The buildings, the title and the decisions too all are called "GERMAN". I didnt´t check yet if other mods are the reason for that. But it could maybe be the language setting (my game language is set to German).
I'll give you an update if I got new information.
Xanadu-King Sep 20, 2016 @ 4:24pm
Well I am unsure if there will be any other issues. I started a new game at a later date, and handed out the duchy to a vassal. Thus I doubt there will be any issues again.
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 20, 2016 @ 9:14am
@Xanadu-King - I will take a look at it further today, if there are still any issues.
Xanadu-King Sep 20, 2016 @ 9:04am
Yeah, sorry. I know I wasn't very clear, I wrote about the bug like fifteen minutes before I went to bed. It was the last holding, with the space being used by a castle. I will load it up today to see if there is some change.
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 20, 2016 @ 7:25am
@Xanadu-King - I just ran a test, all of the sub-holdings are still usable. When you mention "bottom" holding, are you saying the very last holding, with no other slots open, or the last one in the list with open slots?
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 20, 2016 @ 7:20am
@Xanadu-King - OR restart CKII, disable all mods but Kingdom of Prussia, load a save before your king dies, let me know the results.
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 20, 2016 @ 7:12am
@Xanadu-King - what was the extra shield? I've never had this happen to me. Are you using another mod that affects holdings? Also, restart CKII and load a previous save before creating the kingdom? I'll do more testing as soon as possible.
Xanadu-King Sep 19, 2016 @ 11:14pm
So I noticed a bug. Not sure if this was purely due to other mods active, however it is annoying. So I formed Prussia with my first character. While holding both the Duchy of Prussia and Brandenburg, my king died. After dying the bottom holding in every province I owned in the Duch of Prussia became unusable. The castles all had an extra shield, like the one when a province is sieged down. Not really sure if that is a bug, but it is annoying.
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 19, 2016 @ 9:26pm
@Madiq Isha'ad Just like the "King of Leon" decision, the Kingdom of Prussia will not show de jure provinces on the map prior to the decision to "Crown myself King of Prussia!" is executed. The duchies of Brandenburg, Prussia (Pruthenia), Saxony, and Meissen-- and their counties, become de jure part of Prussia.

And I will post a screen shot as soon as possible. I'm occupied with testing right now.
Xanadu-King Sep 19, 2016 @ 7:08pm
FINALLY!!! I have been waiting for so long for a Kingdom of Prussia mod, ever since the last one was abandoned by its creator.
bone app the teeth Sep 19, 2016 @ 8:30am
Could we get a kingdom de jure map screenshot in the gallery?
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 17, 2016 @ 5:25pm
Thinking about removing Clerk's Office building and the decision Secure Succession. I feel as if they are irrelevant to the mod. If I do decide to remove those features it will be very very soon as I'm looking to start on a new mod. Let me know what you think!

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 16, 2016 @ 1:18am
@logan.monk I've made change. The capital is now Brandenburg.
SloganLogan Sep 15, 2016 @ 8:25pm
Wasn't the kingdom of Prussias capital somewhere near if not in berlin? I know the old duchy of prussia had its capital somewhere in that area, but I'm pretty sure both brandenburg-prussia and the kingdom of prussia had their capitals in Berlin, hence it being the capital of germany
cobraTrapz  [author] Sep 14, 2016 @ 2:14pm
@OttoVonBoocemark - Thanks!
Bingus Khan Sep 14, 2016 @ 2:08pm
Thanks for clearing that up, keep up the good work
