To let anyone seeing this know, if you use this with LR's Storage Dimension, don't. It breaks the storage terminal and trying to remove the saplings will crash the game (openStarbound, not sure about base Starbound)

I also don't use FU, which I know integrates this mod, if anyone who wants to help needs the full bug in pastebin, I can provide it.

I am getting an error in the log, although the error is harmless, as it does not cause CTD and the mod seems to work fine, I would like to know if anyone knows what it is:

[11:25:17.413] [Error] Exception while invoking lua function 'update'. (LuaException) Error code 2, [string "/scripts/player/localanimator.lua"]:90: (LuaException) Error code 2, [string "/items/buildscripts/buildsapling.lua"]:7: (LuaConversionException) Error converting LuaValue to type 'class Star::String'

Obviously it is not the complete error, but it is useful to get an idea? I don't have mods that modify the same LUA file as this mod, so I don't know why.

I figured out the issue! Turns out it was just with my ship. Deleting the file and resetting it fixed things.

I downloaded this mod, but after launching the game with it, loading my character crashes the game. Thankfully this only affected one character, since I uninstalled the mod after this issue happened, but even after doing so, trying to load them still causes the game to crash. Redownloading the mod doesn't solve this. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? The backups I had for them had the same issue too, so those didn't work.

I absolutely love this mod, but man, I don't know what makes it so incompatible with so many other mods. I'm finally giving it up. :(

Finally some useful info on saplings, it was too generic, sometimes I planted saplings I didn't want to xD thanks (づ ̄ 3 ̄)づ

i've bot "craftable seed NEW" and that mod and look like Named sapling won't work despite it say it support that mod.

Any ideas please ?

Dunno how I didn't realize this, but there's perfectly generic items in the greenhouse with FU. Anything to be done about that or just deal with it? either is fine by me.

Just FYI, your mod assumes that hue shifts exist, which makes it give green cubes with /spawnitem that works on vanilla.

I can confirm that the "Craftable Seeds" mod does conflict with this mod and overides the description causing it to revert to its normal form.

Heyy, I don't know if you know or not but I found a conflict between this mod and Craftable Seeds (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=731358672) . Craftable Seeds seems to override this mod for sapling names. Thought that might be a good thing to note in the mod description or bug thread, so I'm letting you know :)

I'll add to what hubnester said, it's simply that the original buildsapling.lua file has changed between 1.2 & 1.3

I've made a version that appears to fix the issue with saplings becoming PGIs in the FU hydroponics tray when it's unloaded instead of a "default" sapling (if you want the fixed version I can message the link and you can upload it if you want).

this mod works fine I have used it for a while with no issues whatsoever.
However it has a small undesired effect when used in FU's hydroponic trays, it will create PGIs once in a while, it's not a huge matter but still.

This mod here, saves me so much hassle of having to use a microscope to guess what sort of bark and foliage a tree will have.. THANK YOU. Such a simple thing, you'd think Starbound would figure a better shceme than just naming them all "Sapling"

My game recently stoped showing sapling information. is there any known mod that makes that happen? if not ill live with it. don't feel like looking through 82 mods to see what cause it.
