Just a question: i have the necromancer's amulet, but unfortunately it is shown only as "strange amulet" due to my error in the questline for that item. Is it possible, after competing the second part of that quest, to "recognize" that item as the necromancer's amulet and have its bonuses shown? The first part of that quest is too far back in my savegames to go and replay it, i'd loose too many quests and levels i have already gained or completed.
Or, y'know, for something that you grabbed off of a tree stump outside of someone's house.
A possibility is that I could let it be disenchanted, so the item remains weak but you still get something useful out of it (so you can add and customize it's enchantment to your items).
But i have a little bug on mage now before the update the saarthal amulet gave me a 5 les reduce for all spell schools and a 15 magicka buff but now sinds the last update the magicka buff is no more but i stil get it at my mage also when i unegyp it is there a way too fix this problem?
I think it does need more than just the buffs, and I think the regen bonus does that. Perhaps something different, something unique, would be cooler, but it doesn't fit the lore of the object, and I think that is important.
Honestly I think what people want is a more unique effect. Not just fortifying things which is boring, but some kind of crazy interesting enchantment. If I could think of one, I'd do it myself, but eh.
No, I think nbtoaster has done it right. All of those items I found severely lacking for being powerfull artifacts that inspire legends. Especially the Gauldur and Necromancer Amulets.
I cannot relate how utterly PISSED OFF I was after working my butt off to get the Gauldur Amulet. The ancient texts hyped it up as some supremely powerful talisman, and what did I get? Stat buff.
