Hi enzo.says The pictures are using Daylight Classic, classic sun brightness. That might be the difference. It improves the looks of the game so much. Picking an LUT is like looking for a needle in a haystack :D I use default LUTs to design these themes, so that if you pick an LUT, whatever changes that LUT makes for buildings will also alter the natural area in the same way.
I use the mod Relight (which requires Ultimate Eyecandy mod). Relight comes with a ton of different LUTs, all of them make the visuals crystal clear and much more realistic. If you're feeling brave, give that a try ;) It*s worth it.

I love this map! but can you please change the texture of the grass, because it looks kind of repetitive... :steamhappy:

Hi FIRENATORR300, it's Wollongong, Australia. It's the last map listed at the end of this collection. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=812364019
Also on the list is Shellharbour, Australia is very similar, but uses Markfire's Monte Belo theme

Okeedoke bobri, it's back to original except that one attempt at improving the black crack lines. Thanks for giving some feedback and helping out! :)

hi bobri, wait wait :) it's okay. I'm glad you wrote to me. I need your ideas and thoughts about any changes, so I can make more changes or roll back the changes to go back to original. I'm not too happy with the cliff, either, and not happy with the green ruined, either. I'll roll it back to the original, but I'm going to make one change to the cliff - to the "normal". Those are the black cracked lines. Can you do me a favor and let me know what you think of that change once it's up? Restart Steam after I upload in a few minutes to get the rolled back (original) version.

Just noticed the cliffs look pretty bad now as well. Very blurry. Any chance you can release the old textures so I can reconstruct the old theme?
bobr Oct 6, 2016 @ 9:53pm
:( Changes to ruined have trashed the look of a lot of my city. It is pretty drastic to change it from a brown to a green...

Okay I uploaded an update - see above in description for changes

I like it :D

I love this theme so much. Maybe its because I'm from Australia and this theme (and plants/trees like the red river gum) help make the game feel more realistic to me.

Hi @Imparja. Oh Yuck! :D Okay, thanks for showing me what you see, I can see what I can do differently. The colors of the rock is the default rock texture, so I do want to get a nice custom one instead, and the ugly black lines are the custom rock "normal" (makes a 3D effect). clearly, it's not very nice. As with other themes, I'm able to make improvements, upload them, and they will download automatically to all of you who subscribed.
TPB is giving me some help and I may also reach out to OWL if he's not busy I'm sure he can give me some help.

Hi my friend ObamaisLife, we're stuck with the base biome the theme is based on, on unless you use the Environment Changer mod, which actually isn't working quite right currently. It's more a casino slots machine where you select something (ie pull the lever) and get surprised at the combo that comes out :D Sometimes you get wow, many times just yuck. Anyhow, I do have two boreal, they're basically the same except the season feeling is different.
Boreal Summer with warmer browns, pebbly sand

Boreal, cooler less tan than Boreal Summer with sand as snow

No matter what, boreal's water is SO hard to get to turn to a nice color that isn't opaque light blue. Weird.

Is this for temperate only or can be used in boreal as well?

Hi Bart.Do you mind sharing a screenshot? That will help to see any problems. Until then I'll explain a little in case these might be the case. The rock texture (meaning the color part of the rock) in this theme is actually Colossal Order's default temperate rock texture. That one I didn't change. If it's the one in your screenshot I can look at changing it.
The normal texture (which goes over top of the colored rock image) makes the black lines that give the illusion of the cracks effect on the rock). That one is a custom one from me.
Sometimes in the right (or rather wrong) light or stretching, all rock textures in this game look less than ideal. The sharper the cliff edge, the worse it will deform the look.
Bart Aug 21, 2016 @ 12:18pm
The rock texture is extremely low res for me, for some reason.

Great job, so beautiful!
