how is this mod helpful for A Motley Crew if you only need the seven races? gender doesn't matter!

Mod is bugged for me but may be a mod incompat.

This seems to cause an odd bug where well mining, the game freezes and returns you back to your ship, making mining progression impossible.

Thanks to @davoker I was able to make the mod compatible with the latest Starbound version. The latest version should work and fix any issues :)

Unfortunately I no longer have a save game with crew members that I can test on, otherwise I would try and update the mod. If anyone has a save game they can share with me, I can give it a go.

The LUA files used by this mod are from a fairly old version, the differences between the 2 are many, this causes different problems.

It needs updating, I just find the mod I needed and I can't use it xD does anyone know an alternative to know the race of the crew? Or is it possible that someone knows how to update it to 1.4.4?

from all the comments im pretty sure it's with the mod, it was last updated in 2017. either way i would just skip installing it for now, i'm not using it anymore.

I've been having the same problem as XX here and I'm not sure as to what the source of the issue is.

Do not install this mod! Will break Capture pods, even after removal it causes my game to crash if I try to spawn a pet.

Aye don't know if it's mentioned before, it seems this mod is incompatible with the mod "FU BYOS Modded Race Patch (FR Supported Races)".

There's no problem at all until you tried to recruit a crew member, the npc(my case is a villager) remain unresponsive which you cannot interact with or recruit them. Did some testing afterwards in admin mode and realized that I can't recruit any crew member of any races. Didn't work either where you initialize the classic ship instead of a BYOS-type ship, meaning not a problem with custom races and BYOS ship, but purely the incompatibility of the two mods.

Immediately works however if you unsubscribe either one of the mods, and doesn't cause any crashes with existing character for my case of unsubscribing this mod. Also, I recruit via Job Offer instead of the vanilla way so might be one of the suspect as well, but haven't tested fully cuz I just want ma Avali buddy back ;c

Can you safely remove this mod?

Sorry to inform. With this mod the 1.3 mechanic perk wasn't working ... after removing the mod, perk works just as intended.

I don't know exactly what it's conflicting with but it just repeatedly kills my crew. They die and respawn over and over as soon as I go to my ship

With this mod, the mechanics will not make the fuel cost lower, its kinda buggy.

@TheDarkJediKnight this mod isn't the case it was just my character so deleted him and re-made him then npcs worked so try that.
