Look at the cell phone on the counter of the gas station. There is an action attached to it, you need to hold the action key (like in End Game) to examine the data
Thanks for making a cool and challenging mission.
Cheers !
You start out close to the garage because you will find out anyway after a few minutes that the guy isn't coming, and didn't want to have players travel too far for essentially nothing .
Also, no need for apologies, I am happy to get feedback instead of just the usual thumbs down (as a rule, most mission makers I know get at least two or so thumbs down for every 50 thumbs up with no comment). It's good to see feedback, even negative :)
When I said scripted I ment the part that you basicly spawned about 50 meters from Faulcon's (Forgot his name) arrival and that just reminded me of a COD mission because in a CODMW Stealth mission they would already place you in a heavily defended AO and Give you very little to do other than wait and do what your AI Ally tells you to do.
For the most part it was just me raging though and Im sorry for that.
I don't quite get the reasoning behind the number of enemies, there are maybe 15 or so enemies at the gas station, which isn't a lot for a team of ten that has the surprise. I also don't quite get the COD reference, there is nothing in this mission that puts you on rails; in fact, when we played this mission with my squad, I was again surprised at how my expectation of how the mission would be played diverged from what actually happened.
What happens in the beginning and in other parts of the mission, is indeed scripted, in that certain events require outside action. If you need to suddenly be on a different island, then yeah, a scripted helicopter comes in and picks your team up instead of asking you to swim three kilometers, I am not sure how this is a bad thing.
The mission is designed for coop, and as such doesn't play very well in SP. You have a UAV operator in your team that can provide the view on the target you need without exposing yourself. Stealth is only required within the first three minutes of the mission, after that, it doesn't matter anymore whether you are spotted or not.
Immedietly on start I realised that I could not move even slightly from my starting position anywhere but forward and what happened next felt too scripted,
I pretty much just rage quit because the AI had no problem spotting me from behind bushs and plants without any thought which I guess is arma but there were maybe about 30-50 people in the small village and it just got ridiculous because you pretty much die in one shot by the AI almost all the time.
I might try it with another player and just disable half the AI teammates because there is no way to stealth this with a team of 10.
