Liquid Pumps

2/2 (preferably the modded tier 9 version, not the vanilla tier 8 max), where it's just 1 really long train.

The only workaround I have for the second idea is to build mini "containers" (for lack of a better word, just an enclosed space with back walls with just enough space for an input pump and output pump) to have an output and input to act as relays between an input and output/pressurized output that are otherwise too far to connect directly.

1/2 On the wiki, on this [starbounder.org] page, there's 3 functions that allows you to retrieve info just on the LiquidId, one of which is called "root.liquidConfig(LiquidId liquidId)" and it returns a JSON object containing the 'path' and 'config' for a given LiquidId (or nil if the liquid doesn't exist or is empty). I don;t know enough about Lua, but would it be enough to grab the "itemDrop" field of the liquid, and use that to possibly have a separate input pump that works when the player is close enough to put it in the player inventory? Given there's no way to simply transfer it to a custom wired container.

Otherwise, I can think of only 1 thing to improve this mod, unless it won't work, is to add a relay to allow connecting an input pump to an output or pressurized output pump. Ideally, allow multiple relays to connect an input to an output/pressurized output. 1 extreme example is a fully upgraded novakid ship (not the BYOS kind)

Looks useful. At least it turns electricity into liquid

if it doesnt work, i request ability/permission to reverse engineer for my own goals and/or plans/projects
Juroguy Johnson Jul 6, 2022 @ 7:30am
Im gonna hope this works.

The mod still works right? If it does, I gotta get it.
Icetalon92 Feb 25, 2021 @ 4:37am
Darn. Was worth a shot. Thank you! ^^
Mus_niro  [author] Feb 24, 2021 @ 12:55am
@Icetalon92, no to all points unfortunately ^_^; You can use other game mechanics to achieve in point 3 as you mentioned.
Icetalon92 Feb 21, 2021 @ 10:38pm
Three questions:
*Is it possible to make it so pumped liquids get turned into an item? Like is there a way to set it up so pumps can deposit into a container?

*I have is being able to filter liquids out? I've got water not doing what I want it to in a fuel generator and isn't mixing with the fuel at the bottom, leaving both looking very awkward.

*Is there a way to set the amount of liquid going through at a time? Would that be better done with a short clock instead?

Thank you.

Its a shame what happened, with Frackin Universe stealing your mod code and all. I've been trying to figure out just how much of their mod is stolen content. I know that Kazdra and BYOS are both stolen content in the FU mod.
Mina Dec 7, 2020 @ 8:47am
Still works?
Bunbyun Apr 7, 2020 @ 4:02am
That mod is very usefull, but he have a problem, he isn't work when he was in a shield protection D:

you cannot protect your pump system with shield ! pleeease try to correct this ! D:
Godsworn Mar 11, 2020 @ 2:55pm
One of the older mods in my load order, but I've got to ask- is this FU compatible?

(P.S. Sounds like some beef went down with FU, so hope this question isn't offensive.)

That mod is awesome, thanks! :lunar2019grinningpig:

Is There A Download So I Can Use This?
Basically, My Starbound Main Broke And I Have To Use The Ironically More Stable Version.
Mus_niro  [author] Jun 26, 2019 @ 12:28pm
@Rek yes
Rek Jun 20, 2019 @ 7:25am
does it still work in 1.4
Mus_niro  [author] Apr 21, 2019 @ 2:30pm
@cryptic cree, the 'normal' output pumps stop once the water level reaches the pump. The pressurized ones keep going even when the water level gets higher.
antic cree Apr 19, 2019 @ 12:22pm
What's the difference between output pumps and pressurized ones?
Dizzy Mar 10, 2019 @ 2:56pm

oof sucks about the whole frackin' universe situation, hope you guys resolved at least some of the problem together.

One thing I don't think I saw mentioned, but this mod seems to work well with 1.3.4 :)

Only thing that I see missing from this is the ability to pump into containers
YENDOR MOSREH Dec 30, 2018 @ 12:58pm
can you please make it so i can connect it to a chest, and pump water etc, directly into the chest as an item. please or a tank
Mus_niro  [author] Nov 19, 2018 @ 11:06am
@SSJMichael84 What I remember from when I tried it originally: It's not possible to place or remove water when it's not on your screen, The game only loads a small area around you. I don't think I can do anything about that.
Elex Blue Nov 17, 2018 @ 11:44am
could you create or modify the pumps to interact with wiring relays? I need more wiring distance to work with and I have tried multiple relays to extend the signal to flow out and use of a liquid sensor. I am on an oceanic world creating a base high in the sky with a long enclosed rail tram set up from above astroid to the island ground to the ocean floor with a base on each spot. I wanted to use the pumps to run water from the bottom of the ocean to above ground areas or even the atmosphere above but I need relay wiring extensions that work with your mod. I cam provide pics but its a setup. I used Super Drain a few times but I want to give the drained water some purpose, not just disappear. Waste not want not right?

Thank you for your great mod !
Is this mod has .pak file ? thanks !
Ro-Z Sep 3, 2018 @ 12:41pm
if you wanted to ADD something like Kolljak suggested you could try taking a look at the 'Automation Aides' mod which does that sort of thing. Though for people who ONLY need a liquid pump, this mod is perfect. I use Automation aides because it allows me to fill up tanks and things easy.
ventcorpiangamer May 2, 2018 @ 4:52pm
this is the best mod ever!!!!!! totally should go into the game in vanilla
Mus_niro  [author] Mar 21, 2018 @ 5:15pm
@Kolljak, no sadly not.
Kolljak Mar 20, 2018 @ 11:40am
is there a way to pump liquid into a container. say a chest. or a tank.
wolfmountaingames Mar 17, 2018 @ 4:10pm
This should be added to the game!
amyy Dec 26, 2017 @ 9:47am
great mod, after a few hours i made a petal farm with the pumps to water! (the petals break if they have too much water, it took me a while to get it working)
solarphoenix247 Dec 26, 2017 @ 8:31am
indeepj, Please don't use capitalization on every damn word.

Nevermind, Problem Fixed Itself, Last Time Must Have Been A Lag Crash.
indeepj Dec 1, 2017 @ 11:24am
The Setup Is No Setup. Just Going To The Place That The Pumps Are At Crashes The Game. (Wire Station Area That Alarms And Bulbs And Such Are At) For Some Reason. I Have Alot Of Mods Though.
Mus_niro  [author] Dec 1, 2017 @ 11:13am
@indeepj, if my mod is throwing errors, I would like to fix them. But for that I need know in what situation the error happend. The only way I can really do that is by looking trough logs and looking at a screenshot of how you wired your pumps etc.
indeepj Dec 1, 2017 @ 10:01am
Drain Setup? I Kind Of Forgot About The Thing. I Know Where The Log Is, But I Have Too Many (I Think Its Too Many Atleast) Mods For That.
Mus_niro  [author] Dec 1, 2017 @ 9:35am
@indeepj, Can you show me your starbound.log (SteamApps/common/Starbound/storage/starbound.log) and maybe a screenshot of what the drain setup is?
indeepj Nov 29, 2017 @ 6:32pm
Error: Trying To Go To The Location The Drain Is At (Probably Also The Pumps) It Makes The Game Stop Responding. (Note, I Am On 1.4.) @AI [VLSA] 112] Can I See A Picture Or Two Of The Testing Facility?
luigimcloud Nov 23, 2017 @ 2:13pm
This should be part of the game, not a mod! Good job! :D
Gammaboy45 Oct 21, 2017 @ 6:12pm
I use this mod a lot for liquid pressure cannons
Mus_niro  [author] Oct 6, 2017 @ 5:49am
The normal output pump stops once the liquid level reaches it.
Whereas the pressurised one will keep supplying liquid.
So the pressurised pump can raise the water level above itself.
When there is no more room for water (the entire area is filled) it will start to raise the water pressure, so instead of 1 water per block, you can get 2 water per block(or more ofcourse)
one fun thing to try is put the pressurised output pump in 5x5 container and then pump a 20x20 area of liquid into it, when you then break the container you can see the water rushing out :)
Fuzzybat23 Oct 5, 2017 @ 5:32pm
So.. what's the diference between the small output pump and the small pres. output pump? That's kinda confusing when you see three pumps like that xD
Sgt. Sarge Aug 18, 2017 @ 11:14pm
Yes now i can use this for my prison
i mean testing facility
ProfileName Aug 2, 2017 @ 9:54am

MiraZaWitch Jun 14, 2017 @ 12:38pm
I cant pump water. -_-
Gammaboy45 May 27, 2017 @ 5:57pm
awesome for making pressurized liquid cannons. I always hated manually filling them...
