@Rnova2 Part 2: Here is a link to a screen shot I took. The generator is in a room with 1 door. The door is wired to another door, and the second door has a programmable keypad wire to it. When you click the access door, the keypad pops up and requires any 5 digit number you program into it. @Rnova2 I think it's part of Elithian Races mod but there are shield generators you can put on your ship and they work exactly like dungeons so you have to turn it off to break the walls. The trick is to put the generator in a room only you can get into. Thankfully this is done with the same mod as there are access doors that you can wire to a 5 digit keypad lock. Yes you manually type in the 5 digit code to allow access. It will save friendships and possible a marriage if spouse happens to be super annoying.

Some time ago and using this mod I created a spectacular ship, and excitedly invited my friends to see it, it was my biggest mistake, since after a while they started to break it with the excuse of seeing it outside, obviously I took them out of the ship, but it was already full of holes, my question is: is there any mod that allows me to protect my ship from being destroyed again?

does this not support modded races? i tried doing this on a spacekidd and it just gave me the max ship instead of the build ur own

what is the quest id, i have a character that i thought i already installed the byos support for that race, but later found out i didnt, so i did the quest when i didnt have the support and now i have it installed but i cant do the quest again so i wanna reset the universe flag and do the quest again but for that i need the id of the quest

Thank you very much! Top of my mod list for sure! I do have a question though, after spending far too many hours trying to make a disgustingly massive ship, and failing to keep it symmetrical, I finally had the idea to just make it a BYOS template, and thus get it perfect much quicker and make it available to all new characters; Except that I can't seem to find a good source on how to make a BYOS template, any info would be appreciated.
Though, forgive me if that's actually a Frack'n feature and not part of the original BYOS, I can't find any info if it is or is not a Frack'n feature.

If I do the BYOS quest before getting it repaired, will reparing the ship restore it to Vanilla or will the custom ship remain?

Hello, I was removing a container from the base of my ship when it goes throught the floor (sometime this is happening even when on planets) but now since it's in space the container with a lot of valuable items go down for ever and I'm not able to go out in the space right now (I'm not that evolve). Is there a way to retreive that container ? I'm wondering because I think a lot of things can fall down when I will be working on the ship to modify it and I'am afraid of loosing more. Any suggestion ?

Does anyone know of a mod which allows for more than 12 crew members in BYOS? Crew Size OVERCAPPED (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=747212922) doesn't seem to work.

So, fun little fact: Like most worlds in Starbound, the shipworld is a loop, meaning that, if you are willing to spend that much time, you can make your ship into a loop. In other words, make a halo, now!

I finished the quest with a custom race before installing the patch and I got a max ship instead of BYOS. Is there a way to restart the quest?

Is there a way to obtain thrusters or do they need to be spawned in?

@Good Game since there's no comments on your race support mod I figured I'd ask here, are the Greckan supported? Cause you mention the patch covers 40+ races but the list you have only has 34 so I thought maybe it is covered but not on there

My game crashes when I place a sail. i'm going to try the other sails, but for some reason it crashes to desktop when I place one.

Quick question, but when you turn your ship into a BYOS, does it fire all your crew members?

I really love the wall bunks from the BYOS furniture, but I'm sad that they don't count as beds for example, in my space station. I wanted to use it for the colony but they get upset that their room is missing a bed. :(
Perhaps a furniture pack from BYOS to be used outside of BYOS would be nice. I do like the simple and clean furniture from it.

seems to have issues w/ the crylik race mod, sadly theres no patches i can grab from others as cryliks arent very popular, basically the mod is ineffective & does nothin for that modded race currently

Regarding this mode, I would like to ask your opinion.

How do I set the garvity outside of the ship to 0? Setgravity is reseted after reload.

@Pixel Planet My crew got cloned. I've killed them and they multiplied at an alarming rate, how do i get them out?
