Thank you Louisazei for SQP all this time. I used this mod religiously because I hated the regular crafting system. While I am sad that you are discontinuing developement, I am happy someone else has taken over.

Ya, I just swapped to your stripped down (and properly Harmony'd) version, Vis, and swapped back in MadSkills and Gain Skill Passions. Thanks for tackling that.

If i had both fires on the skill already i usually get a lot of xp, if i didnt, i hopefully get fires on skill trainer use and the next one will give me more, i dont mind if its not working perfectly cause i get a bunch of xp anyway and using the "dont level down" check its pretty op already.

As an addendum to my last comment, it doesn't technically overwrite SkillRecord::LearnRateFactor but it DOES overwrite SkillRecord::Learn and then write it's own function for LearnRateFactor (called _LearningFactor) which contains most of the same functionality, but fails to include the direct parameter (which affects skill trainers).

No, they're right. The mod overwrites SkillRecord::LearnRateFactor (https://github.com/Chillu1/RimWorldDecompiled/blob/a917643cda263dc432279afa8b9aa7ed8936eaf2/RimWorld/SkillRecord.cs#L253) but doesn't check for if the experience is direct or not (which it is if coming from a skill trainer: https://github.com/Chillu1/RimWorldDecompiled/blob/a917643cda263dc432279afa8b9aa7ed8936eaf2/RimWorld/CompUseEffect_LearnSkill.cs#L16) .

so you say but it deosn't seems to be the case for me maybe you should check the mod options because a pawn with level 16 in a skill that uses a skill trainers gets give or take 3 levels for me

Unlike the vanilla game, XP from skill trainers is being reduced or increased by global skill learn rate, and also most critically being capped by the daily learn cap, even with the daily XP cap tweak turned off . This causes skill trainers to be next to worthless, as they always award more than the cap (they grant 50k, and the cap is either 4k, or 10.5k at level 19 with the tweak), and thus the entire 50k is being cut by 80%.

Since this mod hasn't been updated in quite some time, I took it upon myself to convert it to Harmony. This should make the mod more compatible as it patches the game in a less-destructive way. Note that I removed much of the functionality, as it was superfluous and should be in their own, individual mods (plant resting, skill degradation, etc.).

Disabling Crafting notification does not seem to work unfortunately, I have loaded saves and restarted my game both to no avail.

Any way to turn off masterwork notifications but leave legendary on? Even with all my specialists maxed out legendary is still fairly rare, but masterwork goes off like an alarm clock.

For better context, the error says that there is a missing string variable in the Assembly file, that there is a 'void' in the code. I'm not a programmer, so I have no idea what most of that means other than that something isn't being read properly for some reason.

I am having a very, very difficult time with this mod. Static Quality Plus shows up ingame on the Mod settings menu, but when I click "Show Settings" it gives me an error from HugsLib, and doesn't display anything other than that error. I've tried replacing assemblies, removing them, unsubbing/resubbing, but nothing works. I'm on 1.1 (because a lot of mods I like haven't made the jump to even 1.2 yet). Any ideas or known, actual fixes to this issue?

I have "Legendary only with inspiration" on but it doesn't appear to be working, my level 20 crafters are putting out a surprising amount of legendary quality items.

Any chance for extra configurability for passion settings?

I personally use this mod only for the passion gains since this is the only mod that I know of that does this and is properly working allowing bad pawns to be redeemable. Truly a godsend but some of the passion gains are a little OP but using the cap functions then penalizes my other pawns who were/should remain amazing.

Also a question regarding the skill-quality table: I've never seen items of shoddy or superior quality in the game, so this doesn't translate directly does it? Would be good to know what the actual resulting quality is for the existing quality tiers.

It would be awesome if we could customize what % learn rate we want, and how many passions gained at max. should be allowed. As it is, those settings are only of use if you want that exact given preset.

I found a bug in combination with Vanilla Books Expanded:

If a colonist with the slow learner trait reads a legendary book he looses xp instead of gaining it.

Removing static quality plus fixes this.
The only mod setting which affects this is the passion tweak, without it you loose xp, with it enabled you gain xp.

Game Version is 1.2.3005, didnt look into 1.3

Ok, so i stuck all the older assemblies into the respective 1.1, 1.2 folders and the current into 1.3, which "should" work, so if it still doesn't, i really can't help you. =p
