Man, it was my last resort against invisible background walls (aka material:structure). Sadly it didn't worked

also when flipping copies its has a lot of issue placing objects right and mostly just deletes them

the paste feature of blueprints or the stampt is very buggy, i cant place them in mid air & i need to place them multipile times to have it replicated 100, and no its not big the selection is under 60x30

i can use Schematic Maker for clone some pattern object to another map?
example i make tilesheet pallete on plannet and copy that with SCM.Maker then use in spaceship map than not working Not have anything do it no paste object
this is limit of function right?

A cool mod that reminds me of Terraria's CheatSheet (+HERO's MOD) and Minecraft's WorldEdit.

It's a little cumbersome to copy and paste and you need to have debug mode enabled, but it's a beautiful mod in terms of construction labor.

I recommend installing NoLogMap as Francis mentioned below (unless you don't need text logs).

never go out of bounds with noclip, that shit makes me get the fatal error access violation detected sometimes

Use the NoLogMap mod provided by Silverfeelin on WEdit's Github (It's made by WEdit's creator, so it's no issue with this).

Install by placing the .pak file in \steamapps\common\Starbound\mods\

Be warned, it COMPLETELY removes that window, so to get actual debugging info, you WILL need to uninstall the mod.

@PterribleDactylus yes, there is, but idk why yours isn't working. i've even copied between servers: playing with a friend on her game, copying a building from their game, and pasting at my own game.

Okay, I got some interesting behaviour from the Noclip.

It seems, that whenever I warp to or from a planet or station, I always seem to end up in NoClip mode until I open Wedit's settings. What's more, The Alt Tech (Possibly from Frackin' Universe) button keeps binding to the same button as NoClip's on the game's menu whenever I restart the game, and happens vice-versa. I've done every step I could find to fix how it isn't working but ran into failure, and nothing appears on the logs.

Is there any way to copy a structure from one planet to another? I've tried copy and paste and also the schematic thing, but neither have kept the build between planets.

Yeah so the noclip only works if you rebind it to a different key first and then it'll only activate and deactivate by opening the quickbar interface settings window as Leonix said

Keybind for noclip doesn't work properly. In game controls settings, it conflicts with special button, which some mods uses and if I unbind it and bind it in quickbar interface windows, then It also doesn't work and if you put any key in it, then your character will switch noclip mode by opening the interface...

All it needs is for the dev to make their own "debug" mode without the 50% of screen covered in text info and it would be a near-perfect creative mode in Starbound. "Block library" forgot the name (hold shift and open block selection menu) wasn't working but ink dropper section and other tools worked fine (have FU and other mods installed).

Does this actually require using /admin? I'm looking for a mod I can use simply to replace blocks with another type en mass (possibly from whats in my inventory) not really copy paste structures or anything like that. (I really wish it was easy to replace blocks like in Terraria...) I just wanna convert all the brick in this prison to something more homely lol

I ran across a bug that will kill you if not in admin - if you sit in a chair or sleep in a bed while nocliping, it throws you to the bottom of the world. Right into the lava or nothingness if on your ship. I'm gonna assume this is already known, but for anyone scrolling through the comments.

Any chance that support for selecting and placing "bush"/"grass" objects could be added? Basically, the scenery objects that don't drop items and cant be inspected/scanned. As of now, they aren't even pasted with selections.

I guess you can /reload since it will stop the scripts and reinitialize everything. Tasks pretty much only exist to work around Starbound's quirks as opposed to everything being instant so I never built anything to cancel them.

Should do if you don't have a conflict. You could also create a spawnitem command for it by taking the item descriptor (the output object) from the source code and putting into my Descriptor to Command site.

@M644 @Vergil I haven't updated anything in quite a while. WEdit patches techs in a way that should be compatible with other tech scripts. That said if other mods simply replace the tech script WEdit won't work because the changes are overwritten. And if other mods do anything strange with your hitbox it might also not work together nicely. As always I'd suggest trying WEdit without other mods to see if it makes a difference because it most likely does.

@IndianaJoe4323 I'm not really actively working on WEdit anymore (haven't played SB in many years myself) so I can't rework the entire way the copies are made to see if compression would even help with larger copies. Sorry :mocry:

@Dame Because of limitations in the API placing blocks requirs an adjacent blocks. Make sure you've got something adjacent to your paste. If the paste is working but not fully, try increasing the interval in the settings interface. This'll make WEdit wait longer between block placements to give the world a moment to catch up. This is especially important on slower computers and servers.

I seem to get stuck mid air after using no clip, it didn't happen before but only today has it started doing this, not sure why. Started a fresh game and went through multiple races to make sure it wasn't certain race mods doing it. Any ideas? I haven't changed my mod list at all, just strange.Sorry if there has been a fix for this though I haven't seen this issue in my searches.

i don't know if its the cause of the problem, but none of the hotkeys I use to toggle noclip work, it might have to be with the mod Zerotap Dash that I have, but I am not sure

almost always when i paste something it does not paste a part of it, when i do it again it might paste more but for large scale stuff a chunk is just gone. how can i fix this?

That's the problem, in order to make this feasible, I need to be able to make chunks larger than WEdit can handle.

I'm trying to save a multi-month build from FU induced BS, but WEdit can't seem to handle blueprints large enough to make this transplant feasible. Any way to get around this?

I don't know the technicalities behind doing this but you can just try to go to your Starbound folder (Starbound/storage/player) and copying the shipworld file. The one you want probably has the biggest file size and the one you want to replace is the new file you get when making a new character.
Just make sure you back up the folder in case you mess something up.

I have added a rotate tool. It's a pretty basic implementation so objects are simply skipped while the copy is rotated.
Copy > rotate > paste

As always I do recommend making a backup of your save before making big changes.

Really wish this wouldn't auto-enable noclip, everytime I load up etc I start in noclip and using the mod starts noclip.

Setting a keybind for noclip doesn't work.

Yeah I mean rotating. I know objects and items won't be able to rotate but just being able to rotate blocks would be awesome :)

You mean rotating rather than flipping? That would be problematic with many of the objects in the game, but purely for blocks it's possible to add.
