- I tried SteveZero's Repairable Gear mod for 30+ hours, which is a repair bench that adds 7 different layers of RNG to the repair process. Its worth checking out, but I found it often frustrating, as I just want to repair my crafted gear that was breaking (SteveZero's does a lot more than this, including reducing quality of gear and has a "if gear is under 12%, you can't repair it"; which is contrary to the point of wanting a repair feature.
- The GwinnBleidd fork of this "Repair Workbench" works for 1.5, and keeps it simple just like this mod did. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3228272471&searchtext=Repair
Repairable Gear mod is a natural successor for anyone that's looking:

Hopefully, the author will update this mod so I can remove my fork.

Wel...
finished research, built repair workbench, but can't craft kits;
checked (don't have option of making any):
- crafting spot;
- smithy;
- fabrication bench;
- snelter;
- machining table;
but storage have them in list of items
just want to put it out there, if you bill a repair apparel or weapon, and you have fabricors they will try to bring the apparel and repair kit to the bench, the problem is that before they can repair it a lifter would have carried it away and this creates an infinite feedback loop, or the fabricor will just stare at the apparel and repair kit and nothing will happen,some random lifter would snag it and create an infinite loop, but when a colonistsdoes the repair it doesn't happen
