This addon does have abnormal instructions for a proper installation.
It's more than just subscribing to the addon, you gotta go to the SDK (When launching SFM) and give Workshop priority over TF. Once done, ALL the cosmetics shown in this addon should appear more fixed.
that's so weird, maybe in certain maps it bugs out the textures?

I have already fixed it in this addon. It is also visible in the preview.
are you able to fix the Elf Care Provider? the model is very different from in game. (yes i know its a older workshop post)

I don't know what to tell you then. If extracted right, you should wind up having every model/material up to date in your TF directory in SFM. And assuming your model navigation doesn't have its search narrowed to something other than "All Mods" or "TF", they should appear.

Ah, yeah, in this case, this addon will apply a texture meant for a newer model. Which will more than likely appear backwards. If you wanted this fix to work, you'd need to extract files from TF2.
Plus the updated version of the Colonel's Coat looks a lot better in my opinion.

The only files that should exist within this addon should be within "SourceFilmmaker\Workshop\Materials\Models\Workshop\Player\Items\Medic". There are no other folders located elsewhere. And said folders should only contain .VTF files.

The fixes ARE in fact only fixes for the paint issues, and for updated variants at that. Unfortunately if you have the original version of a cosmetic prior to the 2015 patch, such as the Colonel's Coat, these fixes may not apply to that. At least not correctly.
However, SFM can be updated by extracting files from TF2 via GCFScape in case that may be what you want.

You're welcome to tell me about the problems encountered and I'll give my input ASAP.

the materials folder that isnt workshop doesnt seem to exist for medic. as well as is this a paint only fix cause i cant see a proper fix for half the cosmetics listed.

The Doc's Holiday is one of the few cosmetics that had been later updated, so it's entirely possible that you might have the outdated version and need to extract files from TF2 directly to get the newer models.

Subscribing will not work unless the file directory prioritizes Workshop over TF, otherwise SFM chooses to look at the busted materials over the ones I have fixed. This you do by opening the SDK as a launch option when launching SFM and selecting the bottom most option "Edit Search Paths for Selected Mods" and dragging Workshop above TF literally.
The other method will not work if you slap "Folder o' Textures" (that I completely forgot I left as its name, lmao) in Usermod, instead you must open that folder and drag the Materials folder in there into Usermod. If done correctly, the files should slot into the respective locations as the original textures, except it's Usermod which has innate prioritization over all. Otherwise you can recreate the filepaths in Usermod yourself or follow those in TF and replace the files directly.

Doesn't work:

no matter what I do nothing will change if I try using the method of subscribing it won't work, and if I try the way of going and inserting the "folder 'o files" into the correct area it won't work. I have the same problem with your other mods.

So with the new models, instead of it being skins, it's variations. _s2 and _s3 would be the other two variations of it.
Also, if you go to launch SFM, you're presented to launch SFM itself, or the SDK. Launch the SDK and you'll get a different menu. Select the bottom most option "Edit Search Paths For Selected Mod", then a check list will appear. Click and drag 'workshop' above 'tf' and hit ok.
Once done, launch SFM and try again.

So you should now have new models. What you had before was "player\items\medic\medic_hawaiian_shirt.mdl"

Now you'll be able to find "workshop\player\items\medic\hawaiian_shirt\hawaiian_shirt.mdl". As well as "_s2 and _s3" variations. These you have to spawn with the model search and NOT the "Add Team Fortress Cosmetic" button.
The new models are what you want.

so i extracted the files, and did the stiff with GCFscape and im pretty sure i manually updated it, and i had to verify the files cause the sfm would start up, and the entrie cosmetic is still green, can u please try to figure someting out?

It could be entirely possible that you have the outdated version of that model. In 2016 Valve updated that cosmetic in game to have new models and materials along with many other cosmetics. SFM does not have these by default. Some use the same file paths as the old variants and some use new file paths. And I believe Doc's Holiday is one of those that still uses the old path.

To fix this, you must extract files from TF2 via GCFScape, there's a few tutorials on YouTube for it. Essentially you'd just be manually updating SFM of TF2 content.

for me, when i try to paint the docs holiday, instead of painting the red bit, it paints the other stuff that isnt allowed to be painted, how do i fix it to just paint red and nothing else?

If you're looking the file name, it's "fall17_vitals_vest". This was added for the Jungle Inferno update and fortunately does not have a busted texture unlike many other cosmetics I'm currently fixing.
If you do not have this model, this addon will not provide it. However you can extract it from TF2 using GCFScape or subscribe to another addon I'm certain someone has did for Jungle Inferno.

Unfortunately not yet. I did not originally realize that was broken as well and I've been too lazy since then to fix it along with other cosmetics.
Though I should mention that all of the cosmetics fixed are shown in the preview above.

If the texture appears like upside down or backwards, then it'd most likely due to having the obsolete model. TF2 had updated the cosmetic to be MUCH better looking, which SFM does not have by default.

A solution to this is to manually update SFM by extracting files from TF2, or downloading a different addon to obtain the updated version of this cosmetic.

I mean, that IS what the modeler was going for when making those cosmetics. I'm more surprised that more TFC based cosmetics haven't made it into the game cause there's plenty on the TF2 Workshop, lol

If the texture appears backwards on the Colonel's Coat, then it simply isn't the updated variant.
I'm not sure how you went about updating SFM, but extracting assets from TF2 directly to SFM's TF folder should leave you with the updated variants and plain new models in game.
Perhaps you may find a Workshop download for the updated models as well.
