Regarding the hints:

So far, the modified version of the clip board says "MTP, see note 2". Aside from that, there seems to be no other difference between the original clip board and the Valve edited one. Or there is simply somthing we're not seeing. Makes you wonder what "Note 2" is.

The TF2 section of the Steam Forums is like 4chan... It's a mess there. It's like people have no outside lives, they just live on the forums.

Currently, the only thing we see is a 3, and we're linking it to E3

I'm not sure. Valve told me they updated the paper with some clues for the Meet The Pyro release date, but people havn't found anything out yet.

That could be some awesome material for future weapons: making them match the color scheme of the other weapons.

Y'know what I've noticed about most items in the game?
Most of them have colors similar to other items.
Like the Tribalman's Shiv and the Bazaar Bargain.
Also, the set weapons appear to be very bland compared to the other weapons. They mainly have colors like gray (or grey) and/or black.
