why is this mod wanted i don't get it can someone explain I don't know what slinging your helmet will do function wise aside from visuals it doesn't make sense to why would I need this mod?

the Nimitz issue got solved by removing this from the config.cpp:

hey Flax, your mod is creating an issue with the new ACE medical. When someone gets shot in the leg, the bullet leaves the body through the torso and makes soliders die much much faster. Something in the Experimental Nimitz by TeTeTe does the same thing. Maybe you guys can get in contact

Does anyone know of a mod that not only slings the helmet, but also hides/removes your night vision when slung? I'd like to sling my helmet and not have to manually remove my goggles if at all possible.

Doesn't seem to work for me currently. Helmet slings just fine, but I have to drag my field cap from my uniform/vest/backpack to my head. I'm running a stripped-down version of ace, but mostly all that's missing is medical, so not sure if that's the problem.

Jackson I've joined servers with this mod that definitely don't have it. As long as the server has Ace you should be fine.

Citadel you can launch the game even without addons on which are dependent the active ones.

Hey Flax, another question for ya. So, my buds and I are using a modified version of ACE, which isn't the one on steam workshop marked as a dependancy. For simplicity's sake, we'd love to use your mod as an addition to our modpack, but it keeps makin' us try to load ACE. Adding your mod to our group's modpack would solve this issue (we have a mod we use to dogpile mods just to avoid tech issues). Are you sure we can't do this? Is there some other arrangement we can make so that we can start using this kickass modd of yours without running the full version of ACE? Heck, is there a "non dependancy" version you can upload exactly as-is that doesn't have the dependancy?

Citadel - please don't, just use in a collection or as an additional mod.~

Anton - not sure about helmets that go to feet. Could be any number of recent Arma updates that have broken it. Might get round to fixing it at some point.

Most of the helmets dont sling. They just teleport into the ground at my feet. Tip?

Ah ok - Yes you could loop through the items in someone's backpack and add a take X from person action to ACE but I think this would be slower than just opening their backpack and taking it from inventory. Just make sure your mates have the "shared" items in their backpack but yes it is possible.

ohh I didn't mean literally attach them to the player, yeah both of the bigger two primary carry mods have issues with floating weapons and one has vehicle clipping/weirdness issues, bet small models would be a nightmare....But just like an ACE menu action that lets you assign items from your inventory for quick access for squad mates.

@SixtyTenDerpity! yea sorry about the delay with the key. With the other stuff you mentioned I don't see why it's not possible. My only concern is attaching items to the player has it's issues. For example they are in the wrong place when you lie down or go through an animation. Might be limited by the engine.

Also this is a bit random, But for the life of me I want to learn to code in sqf or how ever it is done to make changes with the ACE interaction menu. I have some ideas for a couple of uses of it. would it be possible to "attach" certain items to you. Like some Flashbangs that you attach with the ace menu and then other player can interact with you to take them and have them ready to throw/ or take from you then throw. For example your team is stacked up to breach a door and you realize you don't have a grenade so you go up to the point man and grab a Flashbang from a pouch on the back of their plate carrier. Or even extra mags, medical supplies, a launcher... etc for quick access

Unfortunately even if I said yes you cannot - Steam WS EULA does not allow you to upload content that you do not own the IP for.

@Flax are we allowed to add that to our mod packs if you give us permission to do so, i hear what you say regarding collections but that will be a little difficult for my server.
Im all about immersion and i have alotta (or would like to) small mods id like to have on the server with ou having a list of 30+ mods that people must download.

Even thou its say less than 2gb for instance but its a massive list it scares players from even trying my server

Hi Guys, if you actually took the time to read the Steam EULA you would realise that it doesn't matter if you give me credit or don't claim ownership. As stated in the agreement you sign with steam when uploading you cannot upload things you do not own the IP for.

Steam has a mechanism for what both of you are trying to achieve it is called collections. You simply add all the mods you need as requirements for the collection.

As for not giving you time to respond/ being rude and unprofessional, you shouldn't have broken the agreement in the first place. If you want to continue the discussion feel free to add me.

As for your packs, they both contained other people's mods. At one point or another, they would have been DMCA'd.

I am the owner of the Balance Collection mod pack that got banned because of a copyright claim by you
i apologize for any inconvenince but i believe it was mistakenly banned as i never claimed for your mod to be owned by me or that it's an exclusive of my mod pack. i believe there was a misunderstanding there. could you please verify? @Flax

@JuicyFruitDragon it should be client side. Ther server might have key signing on so you might not be able to play with it if its not one of their allowed mods.

@{DRIF} Uncreated Lemon this is a client side mod so no need to add to the server, only need to add the keys to the server if you have key signing turned on.

@Inspector_Spectre not sure, haven't played ArmA in so long. I did start the backpack stuff but haven't ever got round to finishing it.
