Would love to see it updated as well, if the author's still active or doesn't mind someone else picking it up, since this was THE terraforming mod for me. I've tried others but none of them felt as nice as this one

Could we see an update for 2.7? :)
Sylxeria May 15, 2019 @ 9:06am
2.2.7 personal experience is that this and Terraforming: Extreme both still work.... Somewhat.

Toxic and Molten worlds can be terraformed, but no option shows up for Frozen-Barren worlds, and the other two Barren types insist that the planet has the Terraforming Candidate modifier first.

Any updates soon?
jlanka Dec 28, 2018 @ 9:23am
also your mods are kinda a lifeblood for the game absolutley love em ;)
jlanka Dec 28, 2018 @ 9:22am
glad to here there is an update in the works just hoping that when you do make the update you leave these mods seperate as legacy mods because i think currently i prefer 2.1 over 2.2. if not i totally understand i know modding takes time and is something up to the modder just thought id put 2 cents in if doing that is something that doesnt take much time
djamesds Dec 15, 2018 @ 8:49am
@King Lemming Any news on update?
Mantas Torus Dec 9, 2018 @ 5:36am
Good to hear and update is in the works!

It's quite frustrating seeing all these planets you can't do anything with - I've got so used to this mod (and others) that when an update drops and we go back to vanilla, I am left horrified by the comparative shallowness of the game without any mods running...
King Lemming  [author] Dec 7, 2018 @ 10:56am
Yes, there will be 2.2 versions of all of these, where appropriate.
hawlk2004 Dec 7, 2018 @ 10:51am
Is a 2.2 version being worked on?
David Nov 20, 2018 @ 10:16am
Nevermind I had 2 different terraforming mods installed and I didn't realize :)) sorry mate.
King Lemming  [author] Nov 19, 2018 @ 7:53pm
What terraforming building? I have no idea what you're talking about.
David Nov 18, 2018 @ 4:12pm
I've encountered an issue where I terraformed a toxic world, I have the terraforming building on it still but it says (inactive) and lists that I can have a catastrophe if it stays that way, but I have a pop on it, I've had a pop on it for a long time now too but it still says its inactive.
Mana Oct 13, 2018 @ 10:30am
one thing I have noticed is that the precursor systems arent terraformable (I have extreme on too) anyway I love this mod
Nikal Aug 27, 2018 @ 6:04pm
Would it be possible to add the ability to terraform directly to Gaia once we have the necessary ascension perk?
Words and Philosophy Aug 22, 2018 @ 5:29am
does the game only see the extra tiles on a mechanical level, as a number, or do pops/automatic structures (plague memorial for example) grow into those inacessible tiles?
King Lemming  [author] Aug 10, 2018 @ 9:03am
25 Tiles is a hardcoded max. The planet is technically larger, but you won't have access to the other tiles.
Al4000in Aug 10, 2018 @ 1:53am
@Unit 206

well maybe we will se changes to that with the le Guine update (the tile size wont be hardcoded anymore I think).
I`ll try to colonise this planet and see what happens. mabe it is only a issue with the diplay of the tile size idk.
Reaperunit Aug 4, 2018 @ 2:21pm
@ 41ain
I'm not 100% on how the system works but what I do know or rather I've heard is that the planet max size is hard coded into the game so you can't get anything bigger than 25 :( however I've seen planets with a size of 30 in this mod least that is what the readout claimed lol
Al4000in Aug 4, 2018 @ 1:13pm
Hey thanks for this mod I love it ;)

But how does this mod say how many tiles a terraformed planet will get? (uninhabitable planets without the terraform candidate perk do not have a size displayed)

Recently, I terraformed a cold baren world into an alpine planet with the mythical planet size of 27 although it only shows 25 tiles as always. Kinda interesting maybe it could be turned into a feature somehow? (*,.,*)

(srry for my bad english; I`m not a native speaker)

+1 for PD bandwagon, also +1 on the understandable wagon ;)
isofluff Jun 2, 2018 @ 11:46am
I've gotta hop on the PD bandwagon. But also I understand if that would be too much work. Great work on these mods!
ThisOneDiesALot May 17, 2018 @ 12:20pm
love the mod. PD compatibility would be awesome :D i guess for the expansion planner to work you would need to add the "terraforming candidate" modifier to all viable planets once the tech is researched. don't know however if this is possible. nevertheless, nicely done, thx :)
All hail the Cartlord Apr 26, 2018 @ 3:41pm
(Note that this may be listed compatible somewhere, but I'm asking this question on every mod I have because screw 2.0)
Is this mod compatible with V1.9? Or is there a seperate version, possibly?
King Lemming  [author] Apr 14, 2018 @ 6:29am
I think that's hardcoded unfortunately. :(
Zygus Apr 13, 2018 @ 2:53am
Is there any chance that when you research the tech that lets you terraform a particular planet type, that those planets then appear in the Expansion planer ?

This would help a lot, as at the moment you have to hunt through your systems visually looking at every body orbiting the suns, trying to see what type they are and what they cost, and then when you get a bit more energy, rinse and repeat. Love the result, but much fiddlier than it needs to be.
mediumvillain Apr 3, 2018 @ 11:05am
I'd love to see Planetary Diversity compatibility for the terraforming mods.
guillerub2001 Mar 29, 2018 @ 3:23am
Does the AI terraform uninhabitable planets?
Awesome mod!
WatcherCCG Mar 10, 2018 @ 1:25am
If you only ever add compatibility for one planet mod, I would highly recommend Planetary Diversity. It would really make this and Terraforming Extreme shine.
Griff-L119 Feb 24, 2018 @ 10:03am
Can you update for 2.0?
CMDR Virgil Steel Feb 23, 2018 @ 11:19pm
Sounds good) Good luck then, hope it will be updated pretty soon)
King Lemming  [author] Feb 23, 2018 @ 9:24pm
Just got back from travel, I'll be updating this ASAP. Initially, I may strip out a lot of things to be 2.0 compliant, but I'll re-add them back as able.
CMDR Virgil Steel Feb 23, 2018 @ 10:43am
Does this and "Extreme" version works on 2.0 update?
Chastity the Celibate Feb 4, 2018 @ 4:44am
Does this work with mods that add new planet classes? I want to use this with Real Space New Worlds.
LightningCutey Dec 1, 2017 @ 9:46am
stellaris has 3 main timescales, realtime which is used in space battles and ship movement, days for ftl and building and months for research as well as generally bigger things... could have fitted into either days if you paused it immedatly, or months of you paused soon after
King Lemming  [author] Sep 27, 2017 @ 7:39pm
Yeah. There's no conflict here. Here's what I suspect happened:

You got the perk and tried immediately and didn't see it.
You then closed down and reloaded. It doesn't matter that you removed the mod. What happened is that you reloaded the save.

This is just how Stellaris works - things *very* often don't happen instantly, they either require a reload or for the month to change over.
WWDragon Sep 27, 2017 @ 3:14pm
I've got bad news for you @Last_misadventure I can terriform to machine worlds just fine.
I finally got that ascension perk... dead last.
King Lemming  [author] Sep 27, 2017 @ 2:36pm
I haven't had time to verify this, but frankly unless they completely changed how terraforming works, that just doesn't seem possible.

I don't overwrite anything. Are you...scrolling down to make sure you're looking at all the potential options?
WWDragon Sep 26, 2017 @ 5:27pm
Ah bummer so it's got a conflict then.
We'll have to wait for the dev to figure out how to fix it.
Last_Misadventure Sep 26, 2017 @ 4:36pm
@WWDragon, yes. I should have describe the conditions better. I just purchased the Acension perk, noticed I could not terraform to Machine type. I quit the game, then went thorugh my mod list and saw this was the only one that seemed to affect Terraformation. I disabled it, loaded save, and could terraform to machine.
Baleur Sep 26, 2017 @ 7:40am
These Stellar Expansion Terraforming / Extreme mods are compatible with new planet classes from Planetary Diversity right? At least, i seem to remember being able to terraform those planets too. But im asking because idk if the pricing / time to complete is balanced or not.
WWDragon Sep 25, 2017 @ 6:28pm
@Last did you get the ascension perk you need to do the terriforming?
I don't have it yet, but I've seen it and it is required to do the terriforming to machine type.
King Lemming  [author] Sep 25, 2017 @ 6:12pm
I don't enable or disable that. This mod doesn't interact with that in any way.
Last_Misadventure Sep 25, 2017 @ 6:08pm
Hello. Thanks for your mods. I really enjoy your work.
Didn't see a mention in the change log, but with your mod enabled, you may not terraform to the new 'Machine World' class introduced by the new DLC.
srmacpherson Sep 8, 2017 @ 12:50pm
I'll try it again then,'

WWDragon Sep 6, 2017 @ 9:30pm
/me facepalms
This mod does NOT rely on the terriforming candidate modifier.

You can terriform anything but gas giants, asteroids and suns.
srmacpherson Sep 6, 2017 @ 8:09pm
Why does this rely on barren worlds requireing the terraform candidate modfier?
I researched all the techs and still couldn't terraform any barren worlds because I never located a planet that had the modifier.
WWDragon Aug 18, 2017 @ 9:19pm
Yup
Nyarlathotep Aug 18, 2017 @ 9:17pm
Can this be added to an ongoing save?
Zeke 109 Jul 12, 2017 @ 5:44pm
Is there any way where you can make it so you can terraform the molten, toxic, and frozen worlds from your mods to the worlds icluded in this one? Thanks!
