I love this mod. It makes the game feel much more realistic and interesting. Looking forward to the update to 1.20 so that I can play with extended timeline.

I'm still having trouble with the distance from borders modifier when using this with the extended timeline mod in the modern day. Especially with the United States. They seem to ignore everything outside of the Americas. That said though, they seem to get more involved in earlier periods with the ET mod.

Do you think you could add in a way for it to be easier to break away when playing a country that is a subject or vassal of another country (ie: Sweden and Norway)?

Just fixed it, 1.18 should* work ok (or at least not be game breaking) I'll be watching the comments more closely for the next few days so let me know if you come across any more weirdness in the new update!

Yeah corruption is getting out of control. +5.00 for 10%? That's crazy.

After 1.18 and rights of man installed, I began to suffer a huge corruption penalty (+5.00) from only 10% mercantilism, which seems to be default for everyone. Now everyone is 100% corrupt and suffering from constant rebellions of everything (100% corruption = +12.00 unrest). In addition, the decrease mercantilism button seems to have gone from -2.00 merc for 1 stability to -.20 merc for 1 stability, which is worthless for the cost. Can you please update this mod and fix whatever this latest update did. I used this mod so much that I initally forgot that I had it installed and its features were just part of the vanilla game. o.0

I'm playing a long game with it (around 400 years now) and all countrys except me have a lot of corruption and a lot of unrest because of it(around 7-8). My colonies and vassals too so i have to babysite them all the time wich is starting to become stressful, sepecialy during wars. I think that you should put some alternative way to reduce corruption or at least let the player reduce corruption from they vassels/colonies/unions at some cost, like dissliking them more or making the burgers/nobility/clergy more disloyal, maybe a chance of your ruler diying and a corrupt regent taking the country.

@aahron I think this is a bug introduced by some recent game update that broke the trick I used to make it work.
I'm looking for another way, but so far I can't find a way to do it without making the mod incompatible with Extended Timeline :(

@folle998 yep, 100% compatible with extended timeline :D

This mod was originally extended timeline only but then I cut a few features to make it work with the base game before I released it :P

P.S. I also reduced the amount of extra monarch points to mitigate the issue you mentioned, so it may be worth trying it as is (or not, it's your life).

@KINGUBERMENSCH I just updated the mod so that you can!

To remove the extra mana/stability go to the mod folder -> events and delete starting_boost.txt.

You can now disable most features this way. If you can't find the right file for something you want to disable then just ask and I'll let you know what to do ;)

How can i take out the part with the extra monarch points and stability? Is there a way to turn off the stuff i dont want from this mod? Also i think the extra monarch points messes with the corruption feature, almost every nation has the "is ahead of time in Admin and Diplo tech" modifier for corruption. help please

Nah, it just means a colonial nation will form as soon as you have more than one province in the colonial region ;)
