I do hope so. I loved the idea of the adaptive shield and the power generators. Additional Vanilla Components comes close, but I prefer the icons and flavour is this mod

AS OF NOW, tested and could start and access a new game with it ACTIVATED (haven't spent the whole playthrough with it but you can at least start a game with it)

Huh, still seems to work more or less fine for me right now. Not that im complaining. Only encountered one or two non-working components. Great mod, very fun, and who cares about balance anyways when you're playing with ~250 mods. Thank you for the good work, truly. Have a good day.

This mod now crashes, as of 3.9 unfortunately. Either someone takes it over or replaces it. The end of an era is here. Thank you Guilliman, for the years of fun~

Who cares about balance, we did it for fun. We loved blowing up things with big guns and we loved this mod. Please update it again, most of us play single player anyway.:steamsad:

Thanks for the update Guilli! As a fellow developer whose mod has custom components I can understand you wanting to prioritize. I also understand the not supporting NSC anymore. I’ve thought about doing that with mine too. They are a massive team. Heh. Anyways, are you planning to keep this mod visible and untouched right? I might poke it to keep it around.

Hello everyone,

I've sadly decided I'm no longer going to support this particular mod. The new archo weapons really mess with balance and I just don't have the energy or time to flesh those out as well as keep the other ones up to date with the many game changes. Sadly the script code for components is quite time intensive to work on and I'd like to use the little time I have these days to focus on my planet modifier mod.

If anyone wants to take over this mod, feel free. Keep in mind I will most likely recycle the utility components (localisation and art) into my planet modifier mod as rare rewards.

The hull components past tier 1 give 1 hull point and the auto cannons past tier 3 don't use power. Also the higher level shield techs don't seem to pop. Other than that a good mod that dramatically increases the time it takes to get into nothing but repeatable techs.

Things that need fixing:
- Autocannons over tier 2.
- Particle lances for ion cannons.
- Crystal plating over tier 1.
- Disruptor upper tiers.

Those are the ones I've noticed recently, the particle lance and autocannons take like 1 energy, says they have 1000 DPS but do 1-1 damage overall so they're just broken and don't do anything, disruptors are also broke as fudge.

The crystal plating does nothing either, sadly. Hopefully this will be updated soon.

Even at the bottom of my mod load order, all crystal-plated components give 0 to 1 hp. Not using NSC.

Found a bug with late game shields (tier 6+) when going synthetic ascension. It seems like going synthetic ascension right now closes off getting tier 6 shields. Being synthetic prevents you from getting any of the non-synth shield variants, but being a machine hive mind appears to be the primary weighting for getting the "synthetic" shields, so it leaves you in a catch 22 of not being the right government type, and also not being the right species type for other shields. That's the theory I have for it anyway, but I can't fully tell. Perhaps a bit of exception code missing?

Something is not interacting well with Stormfire Autocannons here. I'm seeing damage about 1000 higher then it should be, in multiple games, and it only happens with Guilli's Components installed. Removing Guili's ship components from my mods resets it to base values in both new and saved games, and doesn't appear in a vanilla run but does if I only have Guilli's enabled.

I want to use this mod, but the broken upper tiers of disruptors and crystal plating makes it unplayable for me. You either have to not research those tiers, cluttering up research tree and avoiding auto-research, or turn off auto-upgrades for ships. And AI will still use them and be underpowered for late game.
