Yes, later events change cultures in Gaul/Germania. Tribes are not guaranteed to expand, but usually do.
AzZotik Dec 3 @ 10:57am
There is no ETA at all, we are still looking into new modding rules and drafting the new map.

Do the Gauls ever replace the Celto-Ligurians, and do the Germanic peoples ever expand?
Mohr Nov 28 @ 10:30am
I know it's impossible to answer this, and it's okay if you can't, but timeline wise with EU5 mod for Imperium Universalis, when would this be? Early 2026? Late 2026? Or something entirely else?
AzZotik Nov 19 @ 8:11am
We do not support Mac nor Linux, they can and most likely will crash. On windows play dev build, its more optimized.
Finlet Nov 18 @ 1:48pm
This mod is impossible to play, constant crashes.
AzZotik Nov 15 @ 11:58pm
Yes, we are busy looking into EU5 port, play dev build for now.
Liambomb91six Nov 15 @ 10:10pm
Will this mod ever be updated?

When you annex country to get % of their treasury, it does not have inflation. You must be getting it from somewhere else.
[HWK]Nappy Oct 31 @ 10:23am
That sounds fair, but theres always the auto seizure of a nations entire gold ducat supply, so If as Rome I take a single one province country (which normally has 3-400 gold), it becomes harder and harder to manage a string of conquests, even if i conquer at only a moderate pace (lets say The Latin area in a span of 30 years). And when I tried to reduce inflation with admin,it cost 300 admin and only reduced it by 2 percent. I remember when I could conquer a decent portion of Italy in 100 or so years in previous versions (I dont remember inflation being that big of a problem), so I wanted to ask if anything can be done to reduce the amount of inflation generated by conquering a state, or some other stop gap to make expanding initially, less of a pain (I didnt even reach stage 1 inefficiency for state expansion yet, and my national unrest is already at +11 with no way out due to the inflation mechanic)
AzZotik Oct 31 @ 3:00am
Short term solution - use a lot of admin to lower inflation, use costly decision to fight inflation to burn it as well.
AzZotik Oct 31 @ 2:59am
Keep an eye on inflation, when you have low income and you take gold in peace deal - lots of inflation. When you have low income and you take money in siege event - lots of inflation.
Every point of inflation increases inflation growth - not stopped in time it will grow progressively worse and worse.
[HWK]Nappy Oct 30 @ 9:42pm
Hey, I have been having a problem with expanding as Rome, where I only conquered a small part of Italy within 50 years, and I am already in 30 percent Inflation, with inflation steadily increasing due to gold gained from conquered states. I dont remember this happening in previous runs years ago, and the inflation is essentially making the run impossible. Does anyone have any advice on how this issue can be solved?
TheoTheLeo Oct 29 @ 8:47pm
Please update this Amazing mod. I remember playing it some time ago. And now it won't load.
NeverNotNothing Oct 23 @ 5:01am
Could one of the creators dm me? I'd like to ask something about the flags.
AzZotik Sep 7 @ 6:55am

White peace still doesnt work for soccii rebellians
AzZotik Sep 4 @ 11:09am
But regardless, you can find older versions on moddb.
AzZotik Sep 4 @ 11:06am
There has not been updates for public build since 2023, only dev build updates and it was warned in advance it breaks saves.
Sonikah Sep 4 @ 10:24am
Since the mod just updated, my save games broke. Is there any place to manually download previous versions of the mod so I can finish my old campaigns?
AzZotik Aug 17 @ 12:52pm
You are meant to use White Peace in socii rebellions, but it doesn't work on this build. Use updated version instead.

Presssack Aug 17 @ 12:44pm
Why do all my neighbours as Rome join a coalition after I merely want the status quo in an independence war against my sociis? That doesn't make any sense.
AzZotik Aug 11 @ 7:04am
Play Tartessos in Spain, its in relatively safe position and doesn't require much. Learn how the mod works and then try something more daring again, because whatever you picked was clearly one of the harder starts by your description.

As for lag its natural when mod has 9000 provinces, maybe next time click Disable Subcontinents decision and remove something you don't actually need if your PC can't handle it, also maybe play on Less Tags Bookmark.

Ideally also go and play more optimized and updated version:

This public build is more for people who have long 1000 years campaigns and don't want frequent updates to ruin their saves, dev build updates often.
AzZotik Aug 11 @ 6:54am
New players shouldn't jump into Rome immediately just like they shouldn't play Byzantium in vanilla as their first country, because of course the game becomes unplayable when you pick a horrible start and don't know how to play off it.
AzZotik Aug 11 @ 6:51am
Massive overexaggeration, clearly someone who hasn't spent even a minute figuring things out, +0.10 corruption for holding 400 dev is not end of the world, neither is inflation that just needs to be checked once in a while instead of letting it run rampant. Most of the "hard" balancing aspects kick in when you are large enough and punish you if you weren't actually preparing for it, it's not map painting friendly mod, you can't just conquer everything mindlessly.
Lazaros Aug 11 @ 6:47am
Playing this mod is constant pain. There are so many new annoying features which make the game ten times harder than vanilla, everything is expensive, provinces give you almost 0 income and the game is lagging as hell. When you sum up these points theres no reason to play this mod. As a fan of iron age im sorry to see that such great potential went away for weird ideas of creators.
deleteduser575874324790 Aug 11 @ 2:40am
look at how the Victorum Universalis creator dmca'd all the popular steam workshop mods LOL
James Jul 23 @ 9:25pm
Tried this for a few hours and imperator rome: invictus is more fun. Recommend swapping to that until EUV.
maniac-brian Jul 23 @ 6:29pm
this really needs to be updated before eu5 comes out.
yeehaw Jul 12 @ 9:04am
have less inflation.
inflation creates more if of itself
Invader Chimm Jul 12 @ 8:45am
How do i get rid of the constant inflation? +1,2 Inflation just coming out of nowhere is just ridiculous
AzZotik Jul 7 @ 11:55pm
Dev build was updated, for people interested in mostly bugfixes and balance changes, its recommended to use Dev for now. Old saves not compatible with new update.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3232744521

Those looking for a stable version to play a long campaign are better off staying on this version instead, its not going to update for a while, updates ruin old saves, it works with slight visual bugs.
Chaka Jul 7 @ 6:55pm
update?
yohane14_6 Jun 30 @ 2:37am
@LazyDoja I just started DL it and haven't played it yet but if you open the events folder and search for that event, under the trigger, add "fire_only_once = yes" or change "is_year = 1444" to something ridiculous like "is_year = 7777" to make the event not fire anymore. That's what I usually do when events give me trouble.
AzZotik Jun 29 @ 11:41am
They don't start hellenic but get a decision to switch into Hellenic culture group, it's not up to debate how similar/different they are.
Valenti Jun 29 @ 3:01am
Seriously? Macedon culture non being hellenic? Don't tell the Olympic Games commitee that accepted them as Hellenes...
LazyDoja Jun 21 @ 9:53pm
How do i get rid of the Yayoi migration modifier in japan when playing as jomon? Iave wasted more 2k mil mana and the event just keeps firing nonstop before i sttle as Jomon
Thank you Azzotik, I must say, I love the ideas, lots of great ones.. but is there a mod compatible for it to increase the idea SLOT? I would use the ones i usually use for Vanilla, but those require different tech levels.. Having Vanila slots for this is really limiting.

does this still work?
AzZotik May 19 @ 8:52am
well, don't you notice that source of inflation is inflation.
So every single point of inflation also increases inflation growth, therefore if it's ever not going down ... it's always going up from there.
Be more careful next time taking money in peace deals and siege events when your income is low, the less income you have the more inflation you get from large sums of cash taken.

As for rebels, maybe stop pressing button that adds +10 unrest when you can just wait autonomy down anyways.
adicooli1711 May 19 @ 1:18am
What the hell do I do with rebels and inflation :steamfacepalm:
AzZotik May 10 @ 12:31am
We do have plans, EU4 version will keep being updated while EU5 is being explored. We know nothing of modding it yet. No idea how hard it will be to move entire mod there.
Dezz Nutz May 9 @ 2:50am
pls do imperium in eu5
4p Apr 25 @ 11:24am
oh ok. thank you for responding
AzZotik Apr 24 @ 12:03am
There is no such option, we do not have default development at all.
4p Apr 23 @ 7:23pm
is there a way to completely disable the pop growth submod? I know there is a decision for it but it seems to do nothing to change it back to the usual adm/dip/mil points added to up the development
AzZotik Apr 20 @ 11:18pm
Up to Diadochi that is, they lack crucial mechanics to expand but technically playable.
yeehaw Apr 20 @ 4:48pm
all start dates are intended to be functional
ÅℭℨÅℽ Apr 20 @ 4:35pm
Does only the first start date work?
