Don't worry, thx for the answer. I thought that I was doing something extremely wrong lol.
I know this is an old mod for the vanilla game that is also kind of old. So maybe there was quite a number of updates until this day that maybe chaged the files and kind of messed with the mod.

There's no extra vest slot anymore, the extra utility slot IS the "vest" slot.

I know the pics, name and video are extra confusing nowadays :(

Sorry to bother, I know this is an old mod for the vanilla game, but I'm having trouble with the vest slot, it seems to be the only one missing.
I got the ammo slot and the extra utility slot without problems.
I don't know if because the mod was installed via workshop don't create or show the XComAmmoAndVestSlotsV2.ini neither.

Anyone have an idea on how to restore the missing slot?

I have no vest slot. Anyone have any ideas? I have tried the troubleshooting guide but no luck.

To bring up an older comment, Ammo&Vest mod is not allowing me to have an ammo slot whilest having 'Playable Aliens' installed, is there any fixes for this?

Fair enough, though I appreciate the reply! I'm comfortable messing with config and the .uc(? I think that's the right extension- the files in the src folder) files, but I've not done any proper modding with Xcom since UFO Defense. :P I don't imagine they're very similar lol.

Like I said, thanks for the feedback, and don't worry about not feeling like messing with it lol, I imagine it really has been ages since you've done anything with XCom haha. Either way, I'm still a fan of the mod, so thanks a bunch for putting the effort into making it. (:

Quick workaround doesn't really work around if you are not ready to use the toolkit to recompile the mod, and at that point it's not a quick work around anymore.

yes, when it comes to conflicts is better not to mess around. I guess I could put it up as a separate item, or if anyone wants to make an item collection and steal the shirt it's fine by me wink wink :) It has been ages since I last time launched the mod tools so I wouldn't hold my breath.

As a quick suggestion/request (not that I expect you to jump on this because some random person on Steam asked about it), would you ever be willing to upload a mod that simply adds your XCOM T-Shirt to the game? I think it's a really nifty item, but the rest of the mod conflicts with some other stuff I've got installed, and I imagine subscribing and turning off the extra slots in the config wouldnt' reallly fix the conflicts, haha.

If there's a quick workaround you (or anybody else!) could suggest to me, like 'delete x and x file and disable in config' or whatnot, that'd be cool too, though I don't really expect that's an option lol. Thanks a bunch. (:

This isn't working for me in a heavily modded LW2. I have set bHAS_AMMO_POCKET = 1 but I don't get any ammo pocket.

i was using this on a lw2 campaign and when i loaded after 2 (irl) months of playing with no problems i lost the ammo slot from this mod and an utility slot from another mod, not sure if its a problem with a patch of your mod or the game, or just my save, but i thought i'd let you know, also i haven't
added anything new.

PS: i've been using the ammo pocket fix mod since the start.

@Grog: Look for the Ammo Pocket Fix mod. It seems to fix this issue, even though it should already be fixed in the mod.

My ammo is not applying any effects: enemies never get poisoned (i increased the chance to 75% even), hack defense is never decreased, and a.p. rounds are not piercing any armor. It seems that the +aim and +crit ones work

I'm playing with Long War 2, and I've editted the ini files to make the ammo have 0 weight (no mobility cost).

Any ideas what could be wrong? I'm going to cross post this the long war 2 workshop too.

@Jacke: WOTC version of this should already have a grenade pocket but it is disabled by default. You can use MCM options or edit ini to enable it. I'm hesitant to update this vanilla version for now, until I'm certain I'm finished with all the new features that will be added in WOTC version.

Since it's pretty much easy ini edits nowadays anyways, it's pretty easy to tweak those features in the base game by few simple ini edits so you probably should just look into that.

Mythrell, I was looking at this mod and its WotC counterpart to replace my use of Tactical Rigging: Ammo and Grenades as well as TONS of Utility Items. The first mod also added Grenade pockets to other non-SPARK soldier classes. The second mod allows limiting items to particular soldier classes. Do you think you might incorporate some of the features of those two mods in your mods?

@xthetannermanx: It is otherwise fully compatible, but the squad loadout screen doesn't show extra slots. You can still see them when invidiually editing squad member loadouts.

Ok I actually had some time to look at the code, I do not recommend using this with WOTC, I will make a separate version of the mod for it. There are some changes which might cause nasty behavior down the road if used with WOTC. With vanilla XCOM 2, there has been no changes so this will work just like before. .

Thanks for testing feo., I guess I got lucky. For safety I recommend waiting for an update before starting your ironman campaigns, but it will take some time to download the updated toolkit and release the officially updated version.. that thing is over twice the size of the DLC.. :(

Seems a lot of Trouble out there since WOTC-Release (Users) - Update in Progress?

If so, PLEASE (!!!) keep in Mind that an Update (WOTC) makes this fine MOD unplayable for ALL XCom2-Players, who will not add WOTC !!

A second, separate MOD-Release (if done) of this is the Solution - I guess !

comfirmed. It works with allies unkown for the AMMO slot but the extra utility for some reason isnt there. I will keep playing I dont mind it tbh. The ammo slot is great but will you be updating this for the new expansion to be coming out tomorrow??

oh this is really cool. i'd unsubbed to go with "Tactical Rigging" mod, but i really do like 1) the icons in yours. 2) the idea of having a vest slot instead of a grenade...i like defense vs offense myself.
