This is a decent port, but 'Biotics Lab Extended' on the Steam Workshop looks much better than this one and is more accurate to Killing Floor 1's version, check that one out instead.

Great map! I feel like you can probably pull of a silent hill type map. The textures and what not remind me of silent hill

@koopeh A version mismatch must have to do with you having the old files still in your documents folder, try to search for
D:\"username"\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Cache\664132838\0\Published\BrewedPC\Maps\ClassicBioticsLab\KF-ClassicBioticslab
Check the filesize if its exacly 100,215KB if its different you have to remove the 664132838 folder entirely

Also check other folders if there is anything with ClassicBioticslab in it, and make sure you remove it.

Because there are older versions of KF-ClassicBioticslab that have different file sizes, so make sure you are using the same one on your Server and client and Redirect server if you are using one.

@TagFul19 hmm i havn't encountered this issue before i can't say what causes it then again the later updates have changed quite a bit, ill look into it see what can cause it.

There's a bug! If this map is played on a multiplayer server, there exist a possibility that players can get teleported above the elevator :P

However nice map, i'll wait your updates

Really good! Gives back that feeling of the scary first time you boot up to the map in the original KF. I do have one issue though, lots a black flickering lines when in areas of fog. Might just be me. I have the latest nvidia drivers and am running a i5-4690k with GTX 970. Still, great map thanks for the memories! 4/5

@eXtonix are the flex gibs working for you? since i remember Tripwire having to disable FLEX because it had too manny issues back in the day, also i presume you are using any of the GTX series card? i'm running a GTX 690 with a custom ini and i get no issues on ClassicBioticslab.

The fog is used in official Killing floor 2 maps so it shouldn't make a difference in this map.

I have some weird black screen flashing in this map. I suppose the fog is the cultprit, since it mostly happens when fog is around. Settings are on MAX + FLEX GIBS.

@Ewari ❤≈ i have actually added the Robotic sound to the pods downstairs but they are less noticable, the electric sound is there too but very low, i might increase the volume a bit if it isn't noticible enough but i had complaints about the sounds being "too loud" in the past,but ill look into it.

This map is the closest thing to the original that i could find. There is one thing missing however that someone else did in a previous other remake of the original kf1 map for kf2 named "kf-BioticsLabUK_B2" that i believe you can do too to upgrade this map. It's the original signature electrical static sound you hear near the elevator where you spawn, its something thats been featured since the original kf1 map. There's also that robotic computer chat near those pods in the basement that's also missing. If you add that, i believe its the cherry on top, that's the only thing missing, otherwise good job man, i love this map and how you recreated very much. Thanks.

PS: KF-Manor, KF-Farm, KF-Bedlam, KF-Westlondon would be the top choice for remakes if you ever decide to jump in and recreate kf1 maps again. Thank you so much again for remaking bioticslab.

PLEASE do the rest of the normal KF1 maps. All of these other remakes are a damn fail. We need all the good ones like KF-Manor, KF-Farm, KF-Bedlam, KF-Westlondon and so on. This is damn perfect. It's got the original texture and lighting exactly the same as the original. Great freakin map, it's as accurate as you can get to KF1 Bioticslab exactly like it.

I have had allot of requests to remake other killing floor 1 maps, i would like to see some myself remade aswell, but currently i am working on a new one is all i can tell.
Not anything from Killing floor 1 yet,
but i might consider remaking a map from killing floor 1 in the future since people seem to really want these.

Jumping from Unreal engine 2 and unreal engine 3 the scale might feel different i had this issue myself, but it for me it had to do with the FOV i was playing with, the way both engine's render the map or everything in general just feels different from my experience.
