I think it looks lovely, maybe making the white a more soft grey would be less harsh on the contrast of black.

A good suggestion I have is that you make it this shade of black: #242424 with #131313 for little flecks on the scales of the skin while also keeping those lovely white spots on the feet.

You could make the black scales, well less black, perhaps a dark grey to retain the details on the snout and feet, because pitch black doesn't work to well on dark shading.
