It would indeed, but they will only ever appear by their default names in the civ list after the menu. And I know, I didn't add any new civ. You can always check the screenshots above to see which civ is who.

Ok, cool. Now I understand how it works.

It would be nice if the scenario renamed the civs to be the Discworld civs they represent, or at least there was a list so we knew which civ to pick to play a given city.

Huh, weird. I... kind of *only* ever play straight up standard (if modded) games, so I'm not familiar with the additional maps thing. I'll give that a shot. I thought the mod included civs.

Yes I am, and I even plan to upload a new version one day now that I bought the official atlas book. None of what civs show up? You must go to additional maps, select this one if it appears, then load the scenario and the 22 civs will show up.

Don't know if you're still keeping an eye on this, but I've tried literally everything I can think of (subscribe, direct download and install, direct download extract and install, refresh all mods, start game with only this, disable settlers, and the DLC mods enabled) and it will not work. I go to the game set up *after going through the mod screen* and none of the civs show up. I might not care so much if I hadn't spent $20 on DLC today for the express purpose of playing this mod.

Also for the crash, you should consider the potential uncombatibility of my steampunk mod, for example, with some of yours.

A map itself can't be the cause to a crash, so I can't help you for that. You shouldn't care about the map size, it's locked to Large, as this is the size of my map for the game, even if I consider a 80 x 80 = 6400 hexs map as a huge one. The starting era is by default set to Antiquity, however you can change it if it's not in the advanced parameters of the new game screen.

Tbone: For the science amounts, it happens with me too, but it disappears after the first turn with no consequence on research. For the crash... It must be because of the Disable Settlers mod. Some AI must want to choose the Collective Rule Policy, and, as settlers can not spawn, that makes the game crash. I have found something to parry this annoying issue, I should probably publish it haha.

Maxim: Don't forget to put the map file in the Maps folder once downloaded! (Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Maps)

The science issue has been resolved by disabling some dlc that was not required for the mod.
The game still crashes during the first turn though, albeit a bit later during the first turn.

I got the scenario loading now, I had forgotten that I had a non workshop mod installed....
However, the game now crashes after the first turn (when playing as lord vetinari) and i get ridiculous amounts of science from trade routes (6 digit numbers).

Just choose the Discworld Map and don't load the scenario, it will work without the cities.
