An ini option for how many corpses it takes for an autopsy would be really helpful. The grenade rly isnt that OP, & you can get it randomly from scanning events that reward grenades at the very beginning of the game if you're lucky. If you have a lot of enemy unit mods (& there are a lot now, including the LW Alien Pack) you may barely see 6 of these in an entire campaign.

Hmm...I've been using this and I've gotten the same issue as the LW2 version had.
He's all black. I could have sworn he was fine the first time I saw him.
Any idea how to fix?

fergie, take the mod that allows you to grab bodies from the battlefield by carying them, also you have a mod with a 2 charge grappling hook like in MGS 5

@ChaosMadeFlesh I personally think there might need to be tweaking to how many corpses it takes to do research/get grenades. It needs tweaking even without using LW2.

I would argue that if you have LW2 with this mod that getting the needed demolisher corpses would be nearly impossible because you need more corpses than you are likely ever to get. Getting corpses in LW2 is way more difficult and with all addtional enemy types in LW2 competeing for attention you may see only 1 demolisher every dozen missions. I played nearly 50 missions in LW2 and only had 5 demolishers show up but only 1 was from a mission type that recovered corpses. 1 corpse for every 50 missions ain't gonna cut it.
BUT even without LW2 installed the research needs 6 corpses and that's still too high. I no longer have LW2 installed but I've played a lot of missions and I'm nearly at the end of the game and I still do not have enough corpses to do the research let alone actually make the grenade.

These guys showed up for like 2 missions early on and then I never saw them again. I never was able to collect 6 corpses.

Is it possible to mod the number required for an autopsy?

What does that mean? I need to get six before I can autopsy a demolisher, which is ridiculous any of the other aliens need but 1 to autopsy.

Great mod, but you know what? I hate you for making this guy. I lost a legendary/ ironman campaign to one of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and why? Well, besides the fact that I was playing with linear red fog enabled, and also that it was fairly early into the campaign that I met this fellow... He dodged TWO support grenades in a row. That's right, he literally dodged the effects of my freezing grenade and a flashbang in rapid succession, dodged all of my kill shots, and then proceeded to gas half of my squad.

I'm sure the odds of this happening are like that of a shiny Pokemon appearing, but come on now. Do they have an elevated chance to dodge support grenades or something? I froze the next one just fine!

Nicely done, I like to keep my game 'vannila' for now with regard to classes and enemys but you get a up rate from me. Just one question though: do you get anything for reserching them?

Can you please reduce the amount of corpses needed for autopsy or make it editable in the ini (as it seems you have alread declared the vars...) as I use so many aditional enemies that I never get the 6 corpses...

I managed to craft a Pyrogen grenade in the proving grounds without ever meeting a Demolisher
pls make some upgrade or autopsy that is required for this grenade to be available

Any chance you could lower the number of corpses needed? Playing with a lot of other modded enemies (like ABA) makes it harder to get the requisite number of corpses.

I'm seeing a weird issue after the Alien Hunters DLC, where if I save a game then reload it, the map gets covered in patches of fire, poison clouds, and 1-turn loot patches (without any actual loot in them). Just wondering if this might be related to this mod, since one of my soldiers does have a Pyrogen Grenade equipped. Any ideas?

Hi, I have no idea whether or not it has to do with this mod but Advanced Explosives project doesn't appear in my Proving Grounds despite having the prerequisites. Could this have smth to do with the mod, particularly the new grenades?

I ended up getting a Pyrogen grenade from the Proving Grounds despite never even encountering a normal Muton, much less a Demolisher. Is this known or is it a conflict with another grenade or Proving ground mod?

Balance: i think on legendary difficulty the demolisher is to strong - definitively in the early game. If he is like this in the mid to late game then i think it is balanced.

I guess the Demo Muton autopsy is locked behind the Muton autopsy on purpose, but after I unlocked it it said it requires 0 corpses. It'd be nice if all this stuff was exposed & available to edit in a config file, including the cost of building the grenade (it costs twice what a prox mine does). It does work as intended once the autopsy is completed, adding the pyrogen grenade to buildable items in engineering. I've also noticed the Demo Mutons seem to have some AI issues, and sometimes they'll just double move and do nothing, even if there's a clear shot.

Still problems w/ grenades:

- You can get Pyrogen grenade as a Proving Grounds project (I got it first, just before I did the Demo Muton autopsy)
- You can still get the 'FireBombD' that the Fire Demo Mutons use as a Proving Ground project as well.
- When using the Pyrogen grenades themselves, the effects of the Fire DoT & the Poison DoT seem to be calculated from the same base health - so for example, it'll do 2 poison damage, then it'll heal the enemy for 2 damage before it applies 2 fire damage.

Hello maybe a small bug. I got the Pyrogen grenade in the proving grounds before i even met one muton demolisher. Maybe you can make it so that only if one was killed the player can get it from proving grounds or have to research it. great mod thanks

Got this from Expiremental Grenades in the Proving Grounds. Before even meeting a Muton Demolisher.
Possible Bug or maybe a conflict with another mod?

Yeah, my muton should not have any conflicts with other enemy mods. Centurions only appear as leaders and in mid-late game. Everything is spawn rate dependent so it might just be you are unlucky.

Well, aren't the Centurions supposed to appear late-game, while this one is a mid-game enemy? Might explain why you've only met the Demolishers for now?

Love the idea, love the new enemies, but the Pyrogen grenade is OP. I think a substantial change would be removing Volatile Mix from the grenade itself.
