hmm... well, considering the fact that i am currently subscribed to the MEC troopers mod, it certainly couldn't hurt to try getting the original MEC trooper voices in there eh? i'm hoping it works though

Change all the lines in the mod's XComContent.ini like so:
+BodyPartTemplateConfig=(PartType="Voice", Language="english", Gender=eGender_Male, TemplateName="MECMaleVoice1_English", ArchetypeName="MECMaleVoice1_English.Voice_MECMaleVoice1_English")

Becomes:

+BodyPartTemplateConfig=(PartType="Voice", Language="english", Gender=eGender_None, TemplateName="MECMaleVoice1_English", ArchetypeName="MECMaleVoice1_English.Voice_MECMaleVoice1_English", CharacterTemplate="SparkSoldier")

Will mean the voices are available to SPARKs (only).

This doesn't give SPARKs any new voices, only regular soldiers.

I currently don't have the dev tools installed on my PC, but if I have some spare time I might convert it. Making no solid promises, however :(

For this to work with SPARKS in WotC, replace the XComContent.ini with pastebin.com/raw/XxZDreci

According to comments in another mod this doesn't work for the SPARKs. Can you make it so, mod author?

I originally downloaded this mod on the Nexus site, and when they updated to 7.2, it seemed the nexus download would not work (game played as normal, but it would not allow me to build any of the new playable advent). I switched over to Steam, and it all worked well (yes, I did delete the old 7.2 mod from nexus). The same thing happened this time, only in reverse: had to download the Nexus mod and delete the steam one.

Anyhoo, that is OK, the mod works like a charm now....I wonder if I will have to play musical chairs back to steam after the next big update.....

I just wanted to make a comment about voice packs...the mod that adds the original MEC voice packs from XCOM EW may be a good proxy, if it works. I am downloading it now (on nexus) and will give it a test-drive.

(new suggestion) let's do a simple mod later on where we could use those scientists voices & dialogues to appear and pop up when we are browsing and viewing the inner x-com base, as 'Central' and engineer girl does. It makes the alien menace even darker during the campaign. It is about scientists communicating inside the base during work. These radio scientist Logs talk about research, contamination, alien infestion, terrors, experiments, tests, corporation corruption, space studies. It enhances the suspence & lore (sending some samples now) i hope you like it :DarkOphelia:

Ah, then it's understandable :) But just know you don't have to restart a whole save if a mod gets changed/deleted!

that doesn't bother me, all my characters are saved in the pool, and there's some tactical choices that I wasn't proud of in the avenger

No! Just look for the "Ignore Missing Content" mod, it'll fix it :) Otherwise, I think when you press Escape there is a little window on the bottom of the screen saying something like "Release mod bindings" or something like that - it should help. No need to restart the campaign.
