"What you do is, you go to the mod's Content folder (if you are using the Alternative Mod Launcher, simply right-click on the mod and select "Open in Explorer." If you aren't, then the path is steamapps\workshop\content\268500\629604401\Content)
In the Content folder, copy and replace the Expandedarmorcolors file with the one from my link. That SHOULD work, BUT if it doesn't, then delete the mod, redownload it, go into the game, find the black colors which aren't properly black, write down the NUMBER of the color in the game (each color you select has a corresponding number on the screen.) Then you upload your own Expandedarmorcolors file, send the link to me along with the numbers you wrote down, and I'll edit the file for you."
Make sure you've enabled the mod are are using AML

Works fine, just downloaded it again.
Can you reupload it please? the mediafire link wont work , actually mediafire won't load up at all
Go to the MediaFire URL in this post and download it. You need to edit the URL a little bit, Steam randomly removes links without rhyme or reason.

You can enable a button for the original game in AML's options
Use AML:
https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher
For any normal users, to get it running the 2K Launcher, in your Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\629604401 folder you should open Morearmorcolors.XComMod and delete the NOTES section yourself, and manually save. It'll appear in the 2K Launcher after a refresh
Yeah I realised that may not have been obvious. Steam will remove links from time to time, with criteria and frequency that's entirely a mystery.
Finally figured it out! That "mediafire dot com" was messing with me. :-P Guess Steam has restrictions on posting direct URLs. Thanks again for your guidance!
The updated mod even updated the secondary colors to include real black too!
Like I said, the link works. I downloaded the mod yesterday. You need to edit the URL.

Oh. Scroll back to here:

Download that. I thought you'd seen that and failed to download it.
It is for me. Color 94 is the issue.
No mod...

To be clear, I'm playing WOTC & have only 15 mods. This is the only color mod that's installed. I'm aware that this mod is probably for the vanilla version & hasn't been updated since 2016. Was hoping that there was some help in the older comments. Unfortunately, that link is dead. Appreciate it if you could help?
No it's not, I just downloaded it
No it's not, I just downloaded it
It's because this is a pre-WotC mod. Check the Last Updated Date. There's a link to download a version with a black in the Comments
Didn't work for me
It seems to be an issue for some addons. This following method worked on both workshop
addons I had problems with.
1. Go to Steam/SteamApps/workshop/content/268500/629604401
2. Open the file ''Morearmorcolors.XComMod''
3. Delete the description, something in it is causing the issue, might be the overall length of it
4. Save it
5. Refresh the mods in the 2K launcher, it should appear now
6. You're welcome~
2K's launcher is rubbish, use one that works:

This mod hasn't been updated in more than four years
