@Deadput how do you know it is him? a family member/friend of his might have been given access to his account before he passed away. It is possible he might be still alive as well but there are other possibilities to consider.

As Orsi said, it can be a bit slow on WOTC but it still works. Although this is the only place to find SW helmets that work on females.

He's not dead, his nexus profile account is active and from what I read it was a troll spreading rumors they were dead.

The real reason Platoon stopped modding for Xcom 2 is because he got sick and tired of the Steam community.

I'd like to see someone who actually full on knows Platoon who can confirm both his status as well as how they know him.

If he's dead then it is unfortunate and he should be remembered, there is just a chance that his death was a lie though.

I can confirm that this mod works with WOTC.

However i have a small problem with the mod, that might not affect you at all. It takes me 20 seconds to load in most of the helmets from this mod, only from this mod. I have way over 100 mods runing, so maybe that is causing the issue.

The author's dead @commander cool, I found the same thread on Nexus and it's bollocks. It's reasonable to suspect the steam account went private because it changed hands and that's it. His Nexus isn't active anymore either. This mod's been dead for a year now, time to move on guys.

Did some digging and the guy that said he was dead was a troll. Then another guy said he was friends with him IRL, made up a bunch of phony details about Platoon and him dying, wasn't even friends with him on Steam. he's not dead he just got sick of being harassed constantly on Steam about updates, made his profile private. I don't blame him, his mod blew up and got more popular than he expected and Firaxis kept breaking things. he went on hiatus from modding, as reported by his ACTUAL steam friends, then didn't want to deal with the bulls*** of the cancerous Steam Workshop community. Thank god the Nexus has a better community.

I did a check on what Deadput said, and he is correct, Platoon's account was used on Jan 10th 2018, and while this does not confirm Platoon's death, it does bring some suspicion on Platoon's death. Unless a family member accessed his account, or someone hacked his account
