I tried to make a new campaign and on the mission where you bomb the monument it did not work everybody missed their shot
ShinyRobotGod Jul 20, 2021 @ 5:07pm
As Atrocious said below, this works in WOTC if you start a new campaign.
Method Feb 3, 2021 @ 11:34pm
Please, update for last ver. xcom2. Please, please, please.
ButtStorm Aug 16, 2019 @ 1:58pm
why not 15? if you add 15 then rookies will have 100% chance to hit an enemy from point blank distance eliminating the nonsense rng beginning of xcom2

A†rocious Jun 12, 2019 @ 1:46pm
This mod works, even in WotC, but it requires a new campaign start.
Method Oct 7, 2017 @ 11:54pm
"update coming soon for WOTC?"
+++++++
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Sep 2, 2017 @ 11:22am
update coming soon for WOTC?
Cornflower Sep 2, 2017 @ 10:02am
This doesn't appear to work with WOTC, at least not for me.
NinjaSpartanThe Jul 31, 2017 @ 2:57pm
nice mod, never made sense why soldiers good enough to be recruited for xcom couldn't reliably hit targets out in the open.
Dęąth Viper May 13, 2017 @ 8:26am
will you please apply this to allies unkonw species too? Thanks in advance!
Martin Zzz Jul 24, 2016 @ 3:07am
Super games is more easier :-)
Christy Mar 29, 2016 @ 2:14am
Great mod, thank you
Christy Mar 29, 2016 @ 2:14am
Answered my own question... this does affect your very first group mission, even on Legendary. I was finally able to kick thier butts. lol
Christy Mar 29, 2016 @ 12:48am
So when you first start the game, do your first 4 rookies you get start with this aim bonus? Or is it only when you buy or find new rookies later?
/!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mar 23, 2016 @ 10:42am
First rate mod! Thank You!!
Ironside Feb 28, 2016 @ 11:24am
awww ok. I only looked at my current recruits. I missed the... "new" recruits. :steamhappy:
The Iron Rose  [author] Feb 28, 2016 @ 7:52am
@Ironside it only applies to new recruits. Nor does it disable achievements. If it's not working, than some other mod is completely overwriting the character stats .ini.

@Shacks, yes.
Ironside Feb 26, 2016 @ 7:04pm
meh. installed it and it doesn't do anything to the aim... still 65
Ironside Feb 26, 2016 @ 6:51pm
does this mod disable achievements?
Shacks Feb 25, 2016 @ 4:19pm
DOes the plus 10 stay when they level up? SO if a rokkie has aim of 75, foes it go up from there?
The Iron Rose  [author] Feb 24, 2016 @ 4:01pm
@chrisnavy Oh hell, I just thought of something stupid. Make sure that the folder in mods is named AccurateRecruits not Accurate Rookies.
Criton21 Feb 24, 2016 @ 9:40am
@The Iron Rose, I checked the workshop folder and all the files were there and when I did the manual install I put those files in the mod folder. Whats odd now is that in the autolog it tells me that the mod is installed but I still get that error message, but now I get the plus 10 to aim so it seems to be working. Hopefully that error doesn't mess anything up.
The Iron Rose  [author] Feb 24, 2016 @ 2:01am
@Chrisnavy Um, that's... really odd! I'm not sure why the game is doing that, like, at all. A hard drive error perhaps? Did you check your workshop folder and ensured that the files are there? When you used the nexus version, you unpacked the zip to the Mods folder, yeah?

In any event, use that mod that allows you to load saves without the required DLC, and then edit

[Soldier X2CharacterTemplate]
CharacterBaseStats[eStat_Offense]=65

to

[Soldier X2CharacterTemplate]
CharacterBaseStats[eStat_Offense]=75

in XComGameData_CharacterStats.ini in your My Games folder. That will recreate the mod and allow you to load any saves created while it was installed.
Criton21 Feb 23, 2016 @ 3:37pm
All the sudden I get this error - Warning: Warning, Failed to load 'AccurateRecruits': Can't find file 'AccurateRecruits'. This happens even when this is the only mod being used. I have tried unistalling and verifying the cache and nothing is working. I have also tried to manually install it from nexus and still no luck. Any help would be great.
Tactive Feb 21, 2016 @ 7:46am
Anyone else missing their medikit "charges?" The medikit and the drone both tell me that I "don't have enough charges"....even when I haven't used the kit one time during the mission. It's just happened after adding this mod, and starting a new campaign together. Any suggestions?
veeet Feb 16, 2016 @ 5:26am
isn't compatible with the second wave mod. the rookies dont get the +10 aim
Sir Texas Sir Feb 12, 2016 @ 8:51pm
@Amezzeray I feel you I try to do this until I get pretty much a good A and B team. The other day I had so many folks on the hurt roster that I took one good memeber and 5 rookies with me. I couldn't believe they actually all but one lived. They did good which about suprised me as they normaly miss point blank shots. So now one that game I'm making up a C team with the rookies that lived.
Arkan Feb 12, 2016 @ 7:28pm
How can we edit rookies improving aim by 06? :DarkOphelia:
Deagroth Feb 11, 2016 @ 11:10pm
I really appreciate this mod, and I might use it if I feel like fielding more than my 'A' team, even then I'll probably use it to make them even better. Thank you for this simple, yet incredibly useful tweak.

It doesn't make sense that with all the down time rookies have they aren't made to practice their shooting skills at least a little.
Arkan Feb 11, 2016 @ 1:45pm
Very Nice! Thank you! This is cool when playing very hard campaign mode. It helps a little. :health:
Amezz Feb 10, 2016 @ 5:41am
THANKYOU! My old Enemy Unknown tactic of always taking one of the least qualified soldiers on non-story missions is currently failing miserably.
UraniumOverdose Feb 9, 2016 @ 4:59pm
I would subscribe if it just applied to the rookie aim, and left the rest of progression the same. Rookies need a bit of a boost, maybe squaddies, after that it's fine.
Stone Cold Stavros Flatley Feb 9, 2016 @ 3:58pm
best mod

the last hope for humanity should care about recruiting people who can actually use a gun
Bacxaber Feb 9, 2016 @ 11:21am
You are a saint. My game doesn't work so I can only assume this mod is functional, but if it is, you're a god among men. Can you make another one that increases it further? Say, by 30?
Dongerino Feb 8, 2016 @ 8:17pm
thanks, i needed it after missing all the 50%++ shots in legend iron man new game
Caravan Feb 8, 2016 @ 12:28am
Chiming in here to say it's a permanent +10 aim, it persists after they make it past rookie. Otherwise fun mod! :gs_joy:
Watermelon Daiquiri Feb 7, 2016 @ 4:18pm
You do good work on all games, Rose, keep it up :)
WitchsFISTS Feb 7, 2016 @ 1:28pm
does this only apply to rookies, or does the +10 aim persist all the way through the ranks (so a major raised from rookie who would have 90 aim without this mod would now have 100 aim if raised from rookie with this mod)
Siren System Feb 7, 2016 @ 7:13am
Khan I'm not sure it's "the best of the best" in this game seeing as you can get soldiers from just looking around a city and said soldiers are just some random people. I'm pretty sure in a resistance you take whoever will come with you.
Khan Feb 7, 2016 @ 12:10am
Heresy! Recruiting rookies from the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy is a long-standing X-COM tradition, going all the way back to the original UFO Defender. Sure, it'd be nice if the F***ing New Guys, supposedly recruited from the best of the best of all the worlds military special forces, could actually shoot straight once in a while, but is it really necessary?.

Sarcasm aside, do the new guys get a permanent, career-long +10 aim bonus (potentially overpowered at higher levels), or just while they are rookies?

dallas22_84 Feb 6, 2016 @ 10:12pm
I like this mod it does not seem over powered or anything just seems to make Rookies less then useless which is nice.
A Psychopathic Rat Feb 6, 2016 @ 6:12pm
Ah.
The Iron Rose  [author] Feb 6, 2016 @ 6:11pm
@Steve Oh that was directed at Hyde, not you don't worry hah.
A Psychopathic Rat Feb 6, 2016 @ 6:06pm
I was just making a joke about the terrible aim in Enemy Unknown. You hit like one of every six shots.
The Iron Rose  [author] Feb 6, 2016 @ 5:54pm
I figure people can play however they wish

I don't even use this mod, but no harm in putting it up if people want.
Hakkotsu Feb 6, 2016 @ 5:40pm
some people should just play on "Easy" :steamsalty:
A Psychopathic Rat Feb 6, 2016 @ 3:13pm
Plus 10 aim? My god, this would be perfect for enemy unknown!
