Skunk is already incredibly ugly; FOV setting is MUCH better a feature to exist in game than any improvement on skunk's looks. I wish they'd revert that change instead of this mod being forgotten.

Yes I'm aware. Tried it myself. Looks like Egosoft added some more stuff to the Skunk 3D model. This would require some file digging to disable them. But it really heavily depends on how complex the new model is. If the same part takes out half the canopy - this mod might not be working with the new version at all

To add to my previous comment, I also reverted from 4.1 beta to 4.0 and mod worked fine.

Having issues with 4.10 beta 4. When mod is activated there appears to be space debri embedded in the CP window and bringing up any info panel results in blank black screen (i.e pulling up sector map)

Ah ok. Yeh I'm just new to the game. I waited for many updates to buy this one haha.. At least I know now anyway. Thanks again ;)

It's not a problem so don't worry. Also - pretty much most of the mods work that way so people know it already :)

Nice. It worked :D It may be a good idea to put that in the mod description so others wion't have to bug you like me :P Thanks dude.

If you're using the latest version of the game, it might be using the compressed version of the saves. That means each .xml is actually inside an archive file. Just extract it out and edit it. After you do - compress it back and name it the same way the original was.

So, go to C:\Users\[yourname]\Documents\Egosoft\X Rebirth\[yourID]\save and double click the save_001.xml.gz (you'll need some archiving software like winrar, 7zip or winzip). Take the .xml out, edit it and you should find the line in there

I'm not able to view the save file properly with a text editor. It's just all random sybols that don't make sense. Tried with Notepad and Notepad++. You're talking about the save file found within the documents folder, right? I'm not aware of any other ones. Thanks again.

Hey. Simply open your save .xml file in a text editor (notepad will do) and right near the top find the <patches> section. Underneath there will be a single line saying:

<patch extension="ws_617630256" version="1" name="Albion Pride Remodeled + FoV Change"/>

just delete that line and that's it :)

Hey man. Thanks for the mod. Just wondering if there's a way to uninstall it without breaking my save game? I wanted to try without it again to see what I prefer. I can't load my save with it uninstalled though :/ Thanks.

Cool. No worries, it does wonders for immersion, suprisingly. Would be awesome if you could bring it back.

Hmm... looks good actually. But half of the interface is also very much different from what it is now. So it might be that they got rid of the meshes for release in the end. I might check into it. Thnx!

Yes, but they were only available for the default cockpit.
Skipp  [author] Feb 11, 2016 @ 12:35am
Hands? Really? I don't remember seeing hands, and I've been playing it since release...
Irish Feb 10, 2016 @ 7:29pm
Nice. They used to have character hands in this game, but took them out for whatever reason. The hand models must be somewhere in the game files, any chance you could mod them back in?

Glad you like it :)
